                              He isn't being an arsehole he is just shortening the length of the bison calfs suffering. Pretty sure this is a clip from David Attenbrough's Frozen planet documentary in which the calf was bitten before this clip starts, it was already hurting and death was certain.

                              I think the bison helped more than hurt the other bison. The other bison was going down no matter what so it's better that it be knocked down now rather than run another mile while being ripped apart.
