I've actually had this experience. I have a rare skin condition that causes my skin to shed like this. The shedding isn't painful but everything else is. My skin swells and I end up looking like a burn victim. I remember not being able to walk on my feet and I could flick off my skin like a snake. It's messy.

This is caused by a product called Baby Foot from china or Japan. It causes the skin to peel off, leaving behind only fresh, babysoft skin.
