If you watch the gif closely you can see that OC rolls towards the front page with the repost. OC was probably killed by the horse, though, never to see the surface of the front. :(

I don't see why people complain about reposts so much.

If OC is actually good, it will make it to the top.

The reason reposts make it is that they were once OC that was good, and so when it gets reposted, it's still good, and unless it's the type of repost that gets posted a few hundred times a day, there are very likely people who've never seen it before, so it's not a repost to them.

Isn't that, like, the whole purpose of reddit? Posting other people's OC, with attribution etc., gets the poster karma, not the creator, and that's exactly how it's supposed to work.
