Old people and drive thru are a terrible combination. They forget about gravity (so many old wrinkly balls out of shorts), they hit the wall or use the complete opposite lane ( I've have to jump out the window to take their money) and sometimes forget how drive thru works. You order at the speaker, not at the second window during a fucking lunch rush.

Fast food overall is a shitty job and idiots like this don't make it any more enjoyable.

Oh how safe of a driver that old person must be. I wouldn't even bother, i would have told them to either pull forward or go around and try again. That's ridiculous, just because they work at a taco bell doesn't mean they have to put up with this. I've worked in drive thrus and i have a hatred for people ordering at a restaurant. I would have charged this person stupid tax. I understand they are old and aren't the best drivers (maybe don't drive massive boats) but my guess is they do this every time they go to a drive thru.

i worked at a burger king for a while, and i must say one of the more annoying parts of working the drive-thru was the incompetent people that didn't realize you should stop closer to the window...especially the ones that saw that you were unable to reach them and neither moved their car closer nor even thought about opening their door to reach out.

When I go through a drive through, I pull my mirror in and get within an inch* of the wall so the server doesn't have to reach out. I like to think they appreciate it.

*Adjusted depending on height of the serving window. Some are too high, and I have to stay a little bit out.
