Indeed... I was reading the top comment asking about EDL. My brain knows EDL as Edit Decision List as in (in ELI5 language) an "instruction" list usually used in the Edit Bay to edit together a series of footage into a comprehensible film. Then started wondering why nasa would use such a thing to land that SUV on mars and thought it made sense.
