Not exactly comparable. The story focuses on the villain and what happens to him mentally when he actually wins. It's quite clever.

I didn't, so thank you ToasterMcDuff! I don't know why I never knew about this movie. I think I combined the ads/commercials for Megamind and Despicable me, because they were both about evil masterminds and just attributed Despicable Me with all the credit because it was the first one I saw despite the release dates being months apart.
