When i was 9 years old I had a pet bunny rabbit, and i'd usually pet him while he sat on my lap. I remember this one time my bunny rabbit was being real fidgety like he didn't want me to pet him that day. Eventually I gave in to his persistence and just set him down on the grass where I watched him scurry off. That's when I noticed the bunny rabbit taking one long piss, and then after finishing his business he came back to where I was sitting. I still don't know why he didn't just go while he was on my lap, but I always had this feeling like he just cared enough for me to not piss on me.

I was at a petting zoo one time when I was 19. I felt stupid because I was a 19 year old at a petting zoo. I went to pet a baby goat, and I'm surprised at how still it is, and a little girl who looked about six confusedly and awkwardly told me "Uh.... She's going to the bathroom." And yeah, there was a little river of pee running under us. I stopped petting the goat.

TL;DR: A baby goat and a little girl made me feel like a dipshit.

Funny story about that...

one time my cat fell off the window sill onto a chair and I thought he was hurt from the angle I saw it at. He walked over and crawled up onto my couch, sat down, and didn't move at all. I was getting really worried and thought something was seriously wrong but...

Nope, he just had to take a piss. Then he pranced off and spent the rest of the afternoon zooming after his toy.

For dogs, urinating like that is a sign of submission. If you observe wolf packs, you will often see males lying down and urinating into the air if the alpha threatens them.
The dog felt intimidated being held like that, and showed submission.

I like how the owner's eyes knew what was up before his mouth did.

They close pretty tightly almost psychicly before the stream strikes, while the mouth goes for an OH face before realizing that's probably not a good idea and vainly tries to extricate the piss from the lips.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. It's a pug, they are not the most agile of creatures, especially when they get spooked. I have seen a pug sitting on someone's lap, get scared, and try to jump maybe 2 feet to the ground, but didn't get the right footing and broke his front leg. Similar situation could easily happen here, especially from an unexpected 5 foot drop.
