yay, beagles! Mine would be destroying the toy not snuggling it, so I'm jealous. :)

[–]orangekid13 18 points19 points ago

Mine would have been stretching out to take up as much couch space as possible, not curling up

I miss him

[–]gingerkid1234 9 points10 points ago

My dog (not a beagle tho) manages to somehow both curl up and take up an absurd about of space.

[–]da_k-word 1 point2 points ago

I too am beagle-less. I have a Cocka-Poo that would be tearing the stuffing out of that toy and a Dorkie that would be furiously humping it. They're not the toy-snuggling type.

[–]gingerkid1234 1 point2 points ago

I'm not sure how my dog would do with toys. With humans he likes to cuddle, but he also likes to chew on people's (really just my) extremities if someone sleeps in too late.

edit: Also, if he wants to sleep but there's no one in bed for him to cuddle with, he annoys the people who are awake until someone goes to bed.

[–]da_k-word 1 point2 points ago

Hilarious. He is so the boss of you.

[–]gingerkid1234 1 point2 points ago

Yeah...he knows that he's not the leader of the pack in the family, but he also is cunning enough to get what he wants. Luckily, what he wants is to cuddle, which no one seems to mind too much.

[–]Petyr_Baelish 2 points3 points ago

I have one that curls up into a tiny ball and one that stretches out as much as possible. Of course, the one that likes to stretch out also likes to sleep next to me - well, on me really - at night.

[–]hlharper 5 points6 points ago

Mine would be nibbling at it. I guess basically grooming it like she would have with puppies? She hasn't technically destroyed anything yet, but there are little teeth marks on her stuffed animals, her beds, my comfortable, my pillows, my jeans, my socks...

[–]Wilhelm_Amenbreak 4 points5 points ago

I just lost my 14 year old Beagle back in January. I miss her. She would have been totally tearing out the eyes and nose and pulling out the inner stuffing all over the place.

[–]DancingNancy4136 3 points4 points ago

My beagle doesn't get stuffed toys anymore for this reason. Usually destroyed within 24 hours.

[–]da_k-word 1 point2 points ago

I've found that small stuffed animals made for children lasts much longer.

[–]DancingNancy4136 1 point2 points ago

I have heard that. They also don't have the squeekers in them - part of the reason he tears them up.

[–]bcbuckles 2 points3 points ago

mine would be sniffing it, or burying it

[–]puffyface82 1 point2 points ago

mine would have hoarded it in his cage never to be seen by human kind again.

[–]Keiko23 1 point2 points ago

Mine would either be destroying it or just have no interest in it.

Cut dem nails

[–]yeowoh 16 points17 points ago

Why do people constantly forget to cut their dog's nails? You can tell the dude doesn't get to go on walks, so at least cut his nails.

[–]nper7 10 points11 points ago

Upvote for the Colts collar.

[–]RoMastaFlash 3 points4 points ago

I came to say that too. I'll just upvote yours.

[–]hotboxpizza 0 points1 point ago

COLTS!

[–]hotboxpizza 0 points1 point ago

WOOO BLUE!

[–]philo_ 4 points5 points ago

Have an upvote good sir. I'm stuck at work on this rainy ass day and this made me smile thinking of my beagle who's probably doing this exact same thing right now snuggled up on the couch.

[–]pheobe720 2 points3 points ago

My beagle does the same thing! So cute!

Or the pup just needs more time outside being active...

[–]KeepPushinIt 4 points5 points ago

Honestly, I'm 17 and don't no what spooning is. Can someone explain and not troll plz?

[–]MeMyMoo 2 points3 points ago

When one person lays down on thier side and another lays down behind them and in the same position and hugs them. Its like two spoons, one fits in the other.

[–]drummer_86 2 points3 points ago

urbandictionary.com is your friend

[–]DJErikD 2 points3 points ago

What a cutie! What's his/her name and how old is he/she?

[–]brittanysage 2 points3 points ago

It knows this picture will keep his owner busy on reddit just long enough to RAID ALL THE TRASH BINS & EAT ALL THE THINGS!

[–]Evagelos 2 points3 points ago

Is it me, or does it look guilty?

[–]MeMyMoo 2 points3 points ago

Oh, hello......I was not expecting you home this early. Um....its not what it looks like.

[–]unique_username_ 2 points3 points ago

As a beagle owner I must say: how cute

[–]merglegurgle 2 points3 points ago

I believe this impossible level of cute has been achieved by a cartoon dog possessing your beagle.

[–]greasedonkey 2 points3 points ago

[–]Tinyscientist 2 points3 points ago

Spooning leads to forking... ;)

[–]Space_MonkeySock 2 points3 points ago

Everyone knows that! ;-)

[–]Tinyscientist 0 points1 point ago

Spooning is the only way forward ;) cuddly and sexy!

This picture makes me really happy to have working eyes.

[–]CowRabies 1 point2 points ago

This is really adorable :)

[–]scruffy01 2 points3 points ago

Reminds me of the struggle between my wife and I.

Come on, can't I be little spoon just on- NO!

[–]OmegaSeven 3 points4 points ago

Your wife doesn't like being a jet pack?

[–]yanetosaurus 2 points3 points ago

Jetpacking is the shit! All 5'2" of me makes the best big spoon ever.

[–]theAnalepticAlzabo 1 point2 points ago

Im 6'4 and a little pudgy. Apparently i make such a comfy big spoon that, once a GF is spooned by me I never, ever EVAR get to be the little spoon.

I have to admit, its a nice problem to have

[–]beccamarieb 0 points1 point ago

I am genuinely incapable of handling this much cute.

[–]RalphWasntHere 1 point2 points ago

Is this your dog, OP? Cause my dog looks very similar, though we don't know what breed he is.

[–]mstwizted 1 point2 points ago

Looks like a Beagle-mix of some sort, for sure.

[–]RalphWasntHere 1 point2 points ago

We think that may be part of it, yes, but he has that trait of his paws flattening that basset hounds do.

[–]mstwizted 1 point2 points ago

If it's what I think you are talking about that can show up in nearly any short-legged breed... I'd think he'd have longer ears if there was basset in him. Unless you wanna spring for DNA testing you'll probably never know! :)

[–]mcKatzman[!] 1 point2 points ago

It is cross-breed dachshund and german shepherd-alike mongrel. I have a very similar dog. She is so smart and affectionate. Here it is.

[–]RalphWasntHere 1 point2 points ago

ERMAHGERD

They look almost IDENTICAL. They even lay around similarly.

[–]juliewho 1 point2 points ago

Your dog looks like my dog! We got him as a rescue, so we have no idea what his breed is, but we were told he's a Kelpie mix. We're planning to do a doggie DNA test to see what he actually is so we know what he needs in life (if he IS a sheepdog, he'll need a job!).

[–]RalphWasntHere 1 point2 points ago

We actually found ours when he was abandoned at our local nature preserve. Another user responded with an extremely (almost freakishly) similar looking dog, and I think I know what mine is now- a german shepherd-daschund mix. I don't know about yours, though, he seems to have longer legs. That may be a more german shepherd trait, but yeah.

[–]nothing_but_the_rain 0 points1 point ago

Sort of looks like a miniature pinscher in some ways too. But that's just some serious amateur speculation.

[–]justproz 1 point2 points ago

I normally don't do the whole "aww" thing but damn that really made me do it.

[–]fleshman03 1 point2 points ago

Hey OP -- Any chance this dog was born in Iowa? I have a 3 year old beagle with exactly the same coloring... Even the dark spot above the left eye. We rescued her after she had two litters...

[–]swander42 1 point2 points ago

the cuteness..its almost painful.

[–]aggiegirlsrock 1 point2 points ago

That is so cute! My dog has a stuffed squeaky toy that she used to always sleep with. She'd carry it EVERYWHERE.

[–]bearboner 1 point2 points ago

[–]sourstraw 1 point2 points ago

Welp. That was adorable and made me stupidly smile at the screen.

[–]baconpatroller 1 point2 points ago

I dunno, it doesn't look like innocent fun to me

[–]wanderingstar625 1 point2 points ago

"Please do not steal my baby" face

[–]Ca4l3b 1 point2 points ago

This looks identical to my beagle, upvotes to you.

[–]NAM_killer 1 point2 points ago

You mean, jetpack.

Never the big spoon, always the jetpack.

[–]CuppyMcCake 1 point2 points ago

Puppy love ! ♥

[–]steenarie 1 point2 points ago

That the cutest thing ever. Looking at that felt like someone hugged my heart.

[–]B00K0F 1 point2 points ago

"Don't judge me!"

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

[–]kittensfurever 1 point2 points ago

I heard you like dogs so I gave your dog a dog so you can d'aww while you d'aww.

[–]jellyworld 1 point2 points ago

forever alone. ;)

[–]Anna_Mosity 1 point2 points ago

Aww, beagles. Stubborn, determined, loyal, cuddly, adorable.

[–]YuckFeah1337 1 point2 points ago

Woah, is that one of those Annie the three legged dog stuffed animals? I won one a few years ago.

[–]Anomuumi 1 point2 points ago

My spoon is too big.

[–]expected_crayon 1 point2 points ago

This looks exactly like my dog. The similarities are creeping me out. How old is this picture?

[–]decadencecavy 1 point2 points ago

Aww so cute, but his nails need clipping! Just saying (dog expert).
