My first computer I had to myself was a giant beige monstrosity with a black screen and amber text and that bad mamajama had survived a house fire and was all droopy on one side. I have no idea what OS it was running but we could get these 5.25 (actually) floppy disks and boot up a shitty spelling game and a word processor.

Yes. the world is going to be such an awesome place with kids under 10 years old are being exposed to hardcore porn.

And they will. And so will your kids, because they will have at least one friend with shitty parents.

We can already see the effects of this trickling into society, as teenage boys have long ago already started to treat girls with aggressive verbal abuse.

And given how many of these losers reveal themselves on reddit (these young kids who are totally mind fucked by the type of sexual content they are exposed to without being able to engage in it), I have little hope for humanity.

The internet; the great information age, capable of taking humans to the next level, but instead, took them down to the gutter.

If reddit wasn't filled with neckbeard teenage virgins, they would understand that pornography doesn't reflect real, respectful relationships and isn't a realistic way to interact with another human. Instead, they grow up feeding on the stuff and it ends up shaping their character at a fundamental level.

Exposure to hardcore pornography is so damaging to our culture and the way in which we interact with one another, the way we understand trust and affection and vulnerability; its tragic people don't understand how fucked up it is.

The internet is not so much different than having a stash of magazines, or any number of ways boys used to devise to see naked women. As you mentioned, a boys character is usually greatly influenced by thier parents, and most boys who grow up in an environment where relationships are important and healthy, will recognize porn for what it is, rather than assume that it reflects any reality in healthy relationships. Also, all teenage boys do not all treat girls with aggresive verbal abuse, no more than the usual percentage of douche bags, that have always treated girls poorly.

Both the good and the bad has been greatly amplified and made available on the internet, and I feel as a whole, it has been an enormous boon to mankind. There is always the choice to go to nasa.com or shavedandspanked.com, or both on a given day. It is the character that a child has already learned that will influence a childs choice, and how they interpret what they see.

TL:DR I have lots of hope for mankind.
