Actually, to be fair most games give more of a "flashlight beam" field of view and doesn't really have good peripheral view (especially for top-down peripherals). If that makes any sense.

Sure will, doing a barrel roll is a 1G maneuver so you never really feel upside down at any point in time. This is actually just a lag maneuver to help you with spacing in a formation flight.

If by some odd circumstances you got to try this (or if you got an r/c plane or really if you just wanted an accurate dream) all you do is pull slightly back on the stick to to climb at a 30ish degree angle and ten apply full left or right. Then it pretty much does it automatically. Just have to straighten out afterward.
