I like that they have installed lights in the shaft itself so that a bathroom using individual can see the depth of the shaft. However, I think the shaft lights ought to be on a delay. Only 60 seconds after a person enters the room should the shaft lights turn on. I think that would entertain first time visitors to this bathroom.

All I can think about are the spiders. If it's an abandoned elevator shaft, then there will likely be spiders in it. And they will eventually make webs, likely in the highest corners of the shaft, where the bathroom is. I can see it now. Absolute worst case scenario. Really obese person owns that apartment goes to take a crap, toilet breakes off the wall because of the weight.
