I actually never found it difficult to kill Madagascar. Though, I did use strategy. I just kept my disease undetectable for as long as possible, and eventually they were infected too. Then I unleashed ALL THE SYMPTOMS.

That didn't always mean anything. Several times, I had a disease with no symptoms, and Madagascar just shut it's borders for no discernible reason.

Diseases with no symptoms can still be detected, unfortunately. Even if it does absolutely nothing harmful. Also, it may be the fact that I usually give my disease water resistances first. The only way to get to Madagascar is by contaminated ship, so your disease has to be able to survive that.

In the interests of full disclosure, however, I would like to inform you that OP states he was playing Plague, a Apple copy of Pandemic available from iTunes.

He says it's free if you're jailbroken, but meh. Kongregate is free, and has other games for free, too.

Yeah I know, but my cookies get cleaned out by my anti-spyware, so I would lose all my saves in a browser game, and I think this game takes longer than I would like to spend in 1 session (although I don't actually know as I haven't tried it, so correct me if I'm mistaken)

Funny side story, I have found "Love" to be the most consistent killer disease. Once "Tom Green" made a pretty good run for it. Started him in Canada, killed all of Canada, the world got scared and shut it down.
