Most drive-thru's have a weight sensor to let you know when a car comes. I can't help but wonder if they were able to set it off.

I'm a former Wendy's employee who dealt with fat people on scooters going through the drive-thru (it's more common than you would think). The sensors detect metal, not weight. Scooters have barely enough metal to set off the sensor. Almost always, the sensors will detect the scooter, but will keep switching back on and off, which causes the microphone and speaker to keep turning off and on while they try to order. I normally had to tell them to pull up to the window to tell me what they wanted.

Is it the sensor that lets you know they're there and then the microphone pops on? Whenever I've gone into a fast food place in our area, I always see a camera on the drive-through and assumed when an employee saw someone was there they'd hop on the mic, especially since I've sat at the drive-through microphone "box" for a while before someone came to take my order.

When a car is detected by sensors, a "ding" plays in all of the worker's headsets, so they know a car is there. It might be different at other restaurants, but I doubt it. The Wendy's I worked at did not have any cameras, but they would be useful because workers occasionally forget if there is a car there or not after the "ding" plays.

If you (or anyone reading this) has the time, read up on Naurus history, they pissed away a huge fortune in ways that make building islands in the ocean sound genious.

From people having 4-5 cars on an island that's 5 miles from shore to shore, to financing musicals that were cancelled after the first showing. Nauru did it all.

This is absolutely the worst compilation of data I have ever seen. No where do they ever take into account the HEIGHT of their subjects. I weigh 165 lbs and they say I am heavier than 165 countries' averages. This may be true, however I am 6'2" and I weigh 165 pounds. I look like someone who is anorexic. They're using this to imply counties are "fatter" than others by their average weight. Weight has nothing to do with fat. Hell a 5'8" male could weigh 200 lbs and be in extremely good shape.

My jimmies get rustled constantly by "studies" like this who completely spew out bullshit.
