My car has this shitty foam that you screw the license plate into. It's being held in with tinsel tied to crackers and unanswered prayers. I only know about this because I've had to put it back on after a gust of wind blew it off.

A tornado (we're talking like an F0 here) blew the license plate off of my first car. This was in west Los Angeles so it was especially weird. I had the license plate in my windshield for over a year after that and research on the California vehicle code revealed that one is allowed to put the license plate up there in order to protect it from hazardous weather. I eventually got pulled over for it and told the Culver City cop that I had my plate in my windshield to protect it from tornadoes. He told me that we are well out of tornado season for southern California and that I had to put it back on my bumper. I didn't even look at the thing first before I bought the special screws I needed to put it back in. Turns out all I needed were some regular ass screws because the plate is supported by a giant packing peanut.

On a side note, those dogs need to be kept in better care. I'm not sure as to what the animal situation is in that area, but it's obvious that if it's not taken care of, there will be sad and unfortunate accidents. :(

this is in Serbia - the dogs are very lucky to be alive as people in that part of the world are not evolved enough at this point to think about things like animal rights - they are still focused on giving those rights to their fellow humans.

True story - My cousin and I once became nearly deathly ill after a day at the beach as children. We scoured the sand and found crab pieces by the dozens. We collected them all, and were forming them together like giant crab transformer robots. Ended up touching our faces countless times, I'm sure, and both had fevers well into the 100's for a day or two after.

This is about what it looks like in Syntagma Square in Athens, Greece. It's one of the main subway/bus stops in the city and a lot of people hang out in the area. With the people come stray dogs begging for food. For whatever reason the dogs rove up and down the street chasing every motorcycle that goes by.

The driver of the car got pissed and ran over both of them.

After doing the classic forward and reverse to make sure both dogs were dead, the driver then exited the car holding a knife. As Natalie watched it horror, the driver skinned one of the dogs and used the hide to wipe the gore off of his license plate.

The driver turns around, and gets back in the car to drive away.

To this day Natalie can't look at a car without tearing up. She stays inside most days.

I was in Romania and this is how dogs are there. (there are TONS of strays just roaming the streets.)

They chase cars, bark at them, and block them in the streets. I'm pretty sure Romanian dogs believe they are at war with automobiles.
