I love that the lighting looks like some sort of siren is on.

Also the dumbfounded looks when the car is out of the tunnel.

I just thought this post had implications that the existence of the cop was known whilst speeding. I guess you're right, he could be hiding behind some sort of "blind spot" from passing under a little bridge or something.

Isn't there sort of a leap-frog effect with those though? You get radar, cop gets better one that sees yours/doesn't notify you, you get better one than that, cop gets more advanced one, etc?

Idk, I don't think thats necessarily how it is. I mean maybe but my friend had his and it always worked. Also if these machines are going to every cop whos budgets aren't the highest there is anyway, theyd have to get more advanced ones that are more expensive than 400 dollars (given to each cop, I'm sure that's a lot of money) when they'd probably prefer to invest into other things, I know around my area they've been changing police vehicles to Dodge Chargers and that alone is a LOTTT of moolaa. I think you'd be fine but if you did get pulled over for like having a tail light out or something and they saw the radio, then you'd be in some trouble if they saw your scanner

True. While radar detector legality varies from state to state, it's probably best to yank it down if you're pulled over though ;).

It's only illegal in VA, DC, and military bases. Other than that, you can't get in trouble for having one in private vehicles.

(Assuming you're in the US, of course)

What would this do? I mean, assuming you're going fast enough that you've traveled a sizable distance, they'd still be able to pull up behind you. You're just making it easier than them having to chase you down.
