You're not supposed to be polite at a 4-way stop. If you have the right of way, you should go. Otherwise nobody knows what to do.

Seconded. I hate when people arrive at the stop sign first and then be "polite" it throws off the whole flow of the stop and no one knows what order to go.

I agree. I could have written out the title to say, "When I'm at a 4-way stop, and someone won't go when it's their turn to go and I'm trying to be polite by waiting my turn." That just seemed a little wordy.
