To be fair, it isn't a strawman. The Catholic Church would indeed be deprived of money, and they are definitely guilty of covering up the molestation of children, no matter what way you slice it. It's an inflammatory topic, certainly, but not an invalid one.

However, I agree that if you're going for a rational conversation, this is definitely not the proper avenue.

I never said, "It wouldn't being going to any religions, all of which, cover up the molestation of young boys."

In any case, it could be said, that even the resident hero Dawkins used a straw man.

I feel you are mistaken, you lumped all religions together when at the word "Religious intuitions" you mentioned a problem that the reader would recognize as being specific to the Roman Catholic church.

And as a side note: who the fuck cares what Dawkins used? It is a bad practice, an even worse one if you justify it in the name of an authority figure.
