          Spider blood is not red though. They don't have hemoglobin (which has a iron-complex in it; that's what gives it its red color). The analogous complex in spiders is copper based (hemocyanin) and their "blood" (hemolymph) is colorless. Also, that protein is not stored in blood cells (link warning: spider pic) like in mammals but freely dissolved in the blood of the spider.

          But, yes I agree your scenario is hopefully the more likely one!

            I knew a kid in my high school who had to get a good chuck of his back surgically removed because he was bit by a brown recluse. They took out about a 3 inch infected area on his back that was disgusting as fuck.

                I don't understand why this is so gross? You do realize we eat pig ass right? Ever eaten a sausage?
