I am. Seriously, I'm a well-dressed, quite fashionable man (or at least I stride to be one) and I follow all the guidelines, but this 'rule' is simply shit. I see absolutely no reason why you can't button the bottom button, seeing as it really looks a lot uglier if you don't.

If your suit fits properly it will actually look better if you don't button the bottom button. If your jacket is gapping in the front then you need to take it to a tailor.
