I ran in circles for hours because of that damn alchemy pot. Totally worth it.

Also, one of the very few games I beat twice to get the "good" ending, which is much more satisfying.

I would take multiple days off of school, just to stay home and play this.

Probably not the best idea, but I definitely enjoyed this game more than any other console game I've owned in the past 10 years.

I managed, after hours of grinding on metal king slimes (Dragon Graveyard, best grind spot EVAR), to hit 65 and swept the true final bosses. SOOO satisfying to launch your super death move and hit him for 1500+ damage after a full psyche up. To any attempting the grind: at about 50 or so, xp to next level doesnt go up, so it isnt as bad as it seems.

Dragon Quest V for the DS was the shit. You could choose your wife and each wife had different abilities, and then you would have two sons that had their own abilities too.

The problem is that every other rpg looked so small after I played it...

OH this game was uuuhhhmazing! It's definitely one of my top ten games lol. I remember this being the first game where I started naming all my characters Poncho. Not a clue why lol. I also got really into Weezer for some reason at this time. Awesome memories!

YES! YES! OH GOD YES!

This is by far my ultimate favourite game. I've replayed it 4times and beat it 3 times. I got my new bf into it and he's hooked as well. I do crafts while he plays and I give him advice. I've gone thro 2 strategy guides because they've fallen apart from so many hours of gameplay.

My brother and I tried to play this, but we wanted to go through the game as fast as possible and never ground levels. We were way weaker than the monsters, and died. A lot.

We didn't really understand the story, either. Too much SSBM, I guess?

One day, I was at a party, and the host decided it was a good idea to whip out melee. "Score!" I thought. I had played hundreds of hours of melee against my brother, and had subsequently become very good at it. To cut to the chase, the other children unanimously declared that the game was "stupid" after I beat everyone there into the ground.

For a brief moment after the party, I thought that maybe it would have been more fun if I hadn't demolished them so quickly. Maybe they would have enjoyed beating the shit out of each other a little more if I hadn't been wavedashing around them. Maybe, just maybe, I play too much Melee.

Nah.
