      Not yet, give it another 8 months to a year. First the photos come out, then someone makes this and posts it to 4chan, then it gets to /r/ImGoingToHellForThis , followed quickly by /r/toosoon. We are currently at the /r/WTF stage, where we as redditors can still maintain some plausible deniability as to the darkness of our souls and here is where it'll be reposted for the time being until we've entered the "its okay to /r/funny" stage. After that we can look forward to this making the rounds on 9gag and Facebook, and then someone will combine the last two frames and make a horribly animated gif which will circulate on Tumblr.

        This is semantics. A misspelling is ignorance of the accepted order of letters a word has. This premiere/premier error likely resulted from from the confusion between two homophonic heterographs. That's a word mixup, not a misspelling. "Premier" isn't a misspelled word; it's the wrong word.

        It's possible the person has no knowledge of "premier" as a word, and does not know how to spell "premiere." When it comes to homophones, though, mixup is the more likely source of error.

        If I make a "tpyo," I didn't commit a misspelling. The word "typo" may in fact be misspelled, but I committed a typo, not a misspelling. The former is an action, and the latter is the result. There are many different actions that can result in a misspelling other than ignorantly inputting the wrong order of letters.

          Second frame:

          Judge asks, why did you shoot up the Dark Knight theatre then?

          Third frame:

          Holmes is thinking "wait a minute..."

          TLDR: Punchline: He shot up the Dark knight theatre instead of the Katy Perry 3d theatre(but later realizes he shot the wrong one) bc anyone who watched Katy Perry 3d the movie deserves to die.

            The problem isn't that it's too soon. The problem is that the OP has no empathy. Empathy results in proper distance between a traumatic event and resultant humor. Go watch Jon Stewart's first show after 9/11 for a great example of a comedian grappling with this question. He doesn't make fun of the terrorists. He tries to use humor to comfort the victims, not get a laugh at their expense.

            I would imagine it's at least possible that one of the families of the victims is a Redditer. If they see it, at best they will think the OP careless, at worst they will be filled with thoughts that their loved one died as a "mistake".

            Downvote me if you like, but I'm pretty sure that there is a right and wrong way to look at this. All you have to do is imagine for a second that it was your brother, your sister, or your child who was killed.

            Agreed. Empathy is the ability to feel and understand what others are feeling. A rational and empathetic person may choose, fully understanding the feelings of the victims' families, to make supposedly "too soon" jokes. To suggest that any joke about a tragedy stems from a lack of empathy is to suggest that one speaks from a perspective of moral authority, but the fact is everyone is different and always deferring to the feelings of others is not the only defensible moral position.
