I feel for you. We had a dog that was allergic to grass, and it didn't matter what we tried - socks, medication, sprays - she would bite at her feet until they bled. I guess they have glands in their paws that swell and itch when they have allergies. She had to wear one of those surgical cones all summer, and she still managed to chew on her feet :(
