What about when the enemy's evasiveness rises? Then you can't just switch out Pokemon to make up for accuracy lost. You're fucked.

Why does everybody seem to forget about Aerial Ace, Aura Sphere, Faint Attack, Magical Leaf, Magnet Bomb, Shadow Punch, Shock Wave, Swift, Vital Throw, Haze, Hone Claws, Gravity, and No Guard?

It's not like there isn't a way to cope with an evasive foe. :|

Like, earlier on in a playthrough? Personally, I use a single Pokémon to clear the game, so it's always over-leveled and kills anything before they can even think about raising evasion.

Short of having an Attack boosting move and praying for a lucky hit after some buffs, all you can do is keep wailing away at the mercy of the RNG.

Have you used an Iron Fist Golurk with Shadow Punch? Technician Scyther with Aerial Ace? Or just anything with Aura Sphere? Just because you don't know how to use them doesn't mean they're bad moves.

That's the slow way to deal with it. It basically boils down to a Splash battle:

Used Double Team! Used Sweet Scent! Used Double Team! Used Sweet Scent! Used Double Team! Used Sweet Scent! Used Double Team! Used Sweet Scent!

Rinse and repeat.

Plus accuracy stacks. You get unlucky during the first few rounds of sand attacks and you pass the point of no return. Confusion doesn't get progressively worse like that.

One of my friends is obsessed with all the strange stuff in King of the Hill. He actually filled an entire bag of sand at a beach and in the following weeks started doing that to people. They were so confused...

It's not just great for annoying the enemy. It's fantastic for survival. Hit that dragonite with a few sand attacks and suddenly Hyper Beam ain't so scary. Now a pidgey half your level could take this thing.
