Your university design class would use a psychology image for design?

This isn't an optical illusion. It's changing the center image at the correct time in order to trick the brain.

Keep your eyes on the right and center image. For a few frames they do not match up. Not a mind fuck. The middle image just alternates between the left and right images.

This isn't an optical illusion. It's changing the center image at the correct time in order to trick the brain. It requires the person who's looking at the image to think it's an optical illusion.

The images on the sides are there to help "change" the direction of the center image. Doing it without the other images is usually a bit of a challenge. Psychology loves a good old mindfuck.
