Awesome! I don't have an ETA on the Android version, but I should have more information after the iOS versions are out. Making high quality games is something that's very important to us. Focusing on a single platform at a time and staggering our releases helps us meet those high standards. Hopefully we'll have a version of the game for you soon!

It's possible, but our focus for the time being is getting Fieldrunners 2 out on Android. I feel like there's more value for fans there since they would get 25 new levels, on top of a whole new engine and game, instead of just 4 levels. We've talked to a number of fans about this decision and they have all agreed. What are your thoughts?

We've been collecting a lot of feedback on the original game in the last year, and are working on a pretty awesome update. We're hoping to have that out in the next few months.

People have been asking for new levels since the original Fieldrunners came out in 2008 and we've added a considerable amount to the game since then. Now that it's 4 years later, we felt it was time to build a new engine and give people a whole new game instead of piecemeal new levels.

No, though the guy who did commented on another image a bit back. I'll attempt to dig it up. He's a really cool guy. I was a Junior Engineer on the project, so I did editor work, work on the scripting system (And thus the towers), and helped impliment systems like the Airstrike and the GameTips. Overall it was a blast :D

Funny thing is I actually did have to fix a bug where it'd mess up the touches if you tapped it too much on the loading screen going into the game. That would have been embarrassing.

Just got this game. Surprisingly amazing. Best app I've ever played, even better than Plants vs Zombies!

I've played tons of Tower Defense and strategy games, and let me tell you, it is HARD. I'm finding myself having to repeat levels just on the medium difficulty. But the difficulty is great! Tired of games that are stupidly easy. I want a game with plenty of playtime and challenge!

Kingdom Rush has a free flash version floating around which is the same as the iOS version. You get stars based on your performance in each level and spend them to upgrade tower range, damage, etc. across the entire game. It's fixed path TD though so a bit different.

I wonder how Fieldrunners 2 would look on the iPad or if I should wait for the overpriced HD version.

Also, I had a question about tower damage values; I know it has to do with the range of attack, etc, but why does the hive tower ($35) have the same damage as the plasma tower ($60)?
