[–]NextDayAir 35 points36 points ago

can I get it for the weekend when you're done? I wanna get that 2 day karma load

[–]annielovesbacon 23 points24 points ago

I want it for my cakeday! Can you guys share?

[–]NolanRoss 14 points15 points ago

Don't worry folks, there will be enough re-posts for everybody.

[–]Godolin 12 points13 points ago

Alright, good. I'm going to need it for the first week in October, as I'm going out on a business meeting. Should keep my karma rising until I get back to my Kitten farm.

[–]Bruce_Bruce 3 points4 points ago

Best they can do is by december.

[–]UiiN 8 points9 points ago

Just do it now, it's been 6 hours. We're 5 hours over due for a repost of it.

[–]ninja_at_law 2 points3 points ago

Why wait so long?

[–]jonno14 171 points172 points ago

That has got to be the most exciting thing to ever happen in cricket.

[–]ClampingNomads 51 points52 points ago

I got a googly in the bollocks without a box once. That was pretty fucking exciting.

[–]jjnich 20 points21 points ago

uh . . . ?

[–]ClampingNomads 35 points36 points ago

Yes, that's exactly what I said. Were you there?

[–]XyploatKyrt 30 points31 points ago

Widget before wicket, mate. The poor bloke probably slugged his bat all wonky, took a full toss off his big Bens down under and went home from the maiden over with a golden duck on the board and a dicky tum and from then on was just a tailender.

Howzat?

[–]My_crease 2 points3 points ago

wat

[–]Cheezykins 5 points6 points ago

He received a high speed, high spin cricket ball to the testicles without wearing groin protection.

A cricket ball is leather covered cork, it is not a nice ball to be hit by at the best of times.

[–]Lachlan91 29 points30 points ago

You obviously haven't seen the seagulls that have been killed over the years. Cricket can be a violent and bloody sport...

[–]Galaghan 2 points3 points ago

Don't forget about this and that this once.

[–]Chubbstock 2 points3 points ago

WTF is this, calvinball?

[–]andy__t 0 points1 point ago

The BBC commentator actually said something along the lines of 'that's the funniest thing I've ever seen'

[–]skinniegenes 15 points16 points ago

You literally just shit on that guy's comment.

[–]ChalgakillerBG 9 points10 points ago

That's not very hygienic.

[–]stopmotionporn 1 point2 points ago

Right after "What am I doing with my life?".

[–]Townshenge 34 points35 points ago

[–]commandakeen 19 points20 points ago

Such a cool move where he bows to catch the glasses with his hat. my hero.

Edit: I type like imdrunk.

[–]Godolin 0 points1 point ago

He's the hero that we need.

[–]castellar -2 points-1 points ago

B-bu-bu-but you got that quote wrong ;-;

"He’s the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now."

[–]DoctorYuyi 0 points1 point ago

It looks like he's pulling matter towards him and once it gets close enough it forms into sunglasses, but he has to catch them so he bends down and does so with his head.

[–]Torpluss -5 points-4 points ago

Needs a "deal with it" IMO.

[–]idontwannausemyname 43 points44 points ago

DAMN!!!!! That's one hell of a gif

"Fox Sports Live... Channel of the Year..."

-_-

[–]chainsaw_juggler 0 points1 point ago

Honestly I first read it as "Channel of the Fear", it seemed oddly transparent of them.

[–]nickaroo 11 points12 points ago

You could say...

...that catch was smashing.

[–]Hoobleton 5 points6 points ago

What catch?

[–]katalyst_ 9 points10 points ago

i bet it shattered all expectations

[–]CheckeredFedora 2 points3 points ago

I'd tell you to dramatically put on some sunglasses, but considering the circumstances...

[–]imtheamericanidiot 0 points1 point ago

YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHH!

[–]ryancarpenter 2 points3 points ago

Pull!

[–]walgman 2 points3 points ago

Strauss?

[–]EtGE 4 points5 points ago

Well that was cool

[–]TheMeatball 3 points4 points ago

If that was of higher quality, and reversed, it'd make a hilarious "Deal with it".

[–]PuffCloud 0 points1 point ago

Those were $500 sunglasses, asshole.

[–]psych00range 1 point2 points ago

:D one of my favorite lines from any movie.

[–]TOZT -1 points0 points ago

Wesker broke a few pairs of glasses before he perfected that move.

[–]mkptrnstr1 1 point2 points ago

Goosebumps. I could feel his hand cracking like a whip.

[–]IStillSurf 0 points1 point ago

Can't Deal With It

[–]coottenhimer 0 points1 point ago

I bet those were expensive. Judging by the fact that he is in an all white outfit playing cricket.

[–]EnhancementShaman 0 points1 point ago

Test match cricketers always wear white

[–]hpclone25 0 points1 point ago

That is incredible, and magical. I bet he learned how to do that on purpose, because that shit was too awesome for me to call it an accident.

[–]AgentRG -1 points0 points ago

Repost from r/PerfectTiming

[–]SammyIssues 0 points1 point ago

all i can think is, "OVER 9,000!!!!"

[–]skyboy111111 1 point2 points ago

PULL!!!

[–]Skwerley 0 points1 point ago

That shit would happen to me. I can see it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

The sunglasses committed suicide.

[–]Danzaemon 0 points1 point ago

Not a sports fan, but there's some incredibly cool about how those sunglasses blast apart.

[–]policies94 0 points1 point ago

can't tell if trolling. I'm American and identified this as cricket.

[–]lxxwj 0 points1 point ago

Makes sense, it's a cricket ball.. those things are tough. o_O

[–]Shockyjoe 1 point2 points ago

Best fox sports coverage I have ever seen!

[–]OWSucks 0 points1 point ago

it's called cricket if you were wondering

[–]Oakley-Guy15 0 points1 point ago

Those look like Oakleys, if so, they can be put back together.

[–]CerpinTaxes -1 points0 points ago

This gif is hilarious if you pretend he's just really angry at his sunglasses.

[–]zyzzogeton 0 points1 point ago

Cricket: Baseball with 2 bases and the games take 3 days.

[–]EnhancementShaman 0 points1 point ago

[–]alphagas 0 points1 point ago

I'm so glad I live in the timeline in which this was recorded on film :)

[–]argh_minecraft -1 points0 points ago

Is this some kind of new olympic sport?

[–]nonsensical_zombie 5 points6 points ago

can't tell if trolling. I'm American and identified this as cricket.

[–]Gorignak 2 points3 points ago

Is he not referring to the sport of destroying sunglasses?

[–]Blacula -5 points-4 points ago

Why is he dressed like a golfer then? :/

[–]FinKM 9 points10 points ago

If I had multiple faces I would be smacking them all against my desk simultaneously, but I still feel compelled to tell you that those are cricket whites.

[–]UnrulyRaven 3 points4 points ago

In all honesty, I thought he looked like a golfer too. I've never seen a cricket game in my life, much less know the uniform specifications.

[–]thepurplemongoose 9 points10 points ago

It does kinda bother me that I know quite a bit about Baseball, American Football, Basketball, Rodeo and other "American" sports. Yet you guys don't even recognise Cricket, played by England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Sri Lanka, etc. not to mention Rugby.

I suppose it's because of American TV that I know so much about your sports... but I think it would be awesome of Americans did take more notice of other big sports. Enough to be able to identify them.

Not to bitch :p I just love Rugby and Cricket and feel that those who don't watch them are missing out.

[–]Caligapiscis -5 points-4 points ago

Speaking as an Englishman and resident of the sport's ancestral home, I can't help but feel I should defend them by making the point that cricket is really really boring. So boring.

It's still not a full excuse, though.

[–]ClampingNomads 1 point2 points ago

Golf. Tennis. Formula One. I mean, for fuck's sake, people listen to that on the fucking radio. The commentary is recorded in a sound-proofed studio and they mix in the sound of the bloody cars going round. In a circle. To the radio listener, it's basically about some pundit or other getting increasingly excited about a bunch of millionaires advertising stuff on behalf of other millionaires. Inefficiently.

Mind you, that Olympic "I can sit on a horse that walks sideways" event is so pointless and banal it's actually pretty fucking impressive.

[–]TriangleWave 1 point2 points ago

No No No, Formula one is on a road course. If you think this is a circle, you have serious geometry problems

[–]Knutze 0 points1 point ago

German here. I don't know shit about Cricket and all i know about rugby is that it has a similar (the same?) ball as American football, but you may pass more than once. That and those hats look silly. On the other hand I know quite a lot about American football and baseball, the latter of which is boring as fuck, so that's not a reason (for the record, I enjoy formula one, but find NASCAR stupid). I guess the reason is just that there are just so many American influences on European culture (think myriads of TV shows that reference such sports), while cricket or rugby just do not make any appearance in everyday life. I have seen quite a lot of scens from baseball games, yet I do not even know what cricket looks like. I guess you could say the same about that sport from France (or was it Belgium?) where they throw that ball against the wall with those curved glove-thingies.

[–]Blacula -2 points-1 points ago

I was being facetious. Please don't hurt your face. :D

[–]argh_minecraft 0 points1 point ago

Apparently, much like the WU Tang Clan, cricket is not something to be fucked with.

I fear we have accidentally ourselves into a predicament, blacula.

[–]StickiestFingers 1 point2 points ago

Deal With It

[–]bvanman 19 points20 points ago

Can't. Don't have glasses anymore.

[–]Valadin -1 points0 points ago

"OMG get these off my face!!! Fuck you glasses!!!!""

[–]GumpyBrownz 0 points1 point ago

Yup definitely didin't see this on reddit last week.

[–]rolfson 1 point2 points ago

I believe that's a ball used in cricket.

[–]TheLastBadger 1 point2 points ago

It's called a wobblyrotchet.

[–]piezeppelin 5 points6 points ago

Is that a joke? I can't tell because cricket.

[–]emceelokey 0 points1 point ago

Cricket. The most physical sport in which you wear khakis in your uniform?

[–]Lachlan91 8 points9 points ago

Well when you're standing out in the sun for hours on end, you want white clothing to keep as much heat off you as possible.

[–]TheOnlyWayToBeSure 0 points1 point ago

Then why don't baseball players wear khakis?

[–]HarryWragg 10 points11 points ago

Perhaps because Baseball doesn't last 5 days. In the 8 hour and 3 hour formats of cricket, colored uniforms are used.

[–]TheOnlyWayToBeSure 3 points4 points ago

There's a 5 day format?

[–]HarryWragg 4 points5 points ago

Yeah. Well, you don't play continuously. You play 6 hours a day for 5 consecutive days. Oh, and artificial lighting is almost never used in the 5 day format, so you play during the middle of the day.

[–]TheOnlyWayToBeSure 2 points3 points ago

Interesting...I didn't know that. Not sure how it stacks up against that format, but sometimes baseball teams have 10-15 games in a row, and that's at 3-5 hours a game depending on how they go. It's probably about half and half between day and night games though.

Is cricket ever played at night?

[–]HarryWragg 1 point2 points ago

Test cricket is generally played in a series of 3, 4 or 5 games, though you'd have a break for a few days between games. Not sure how this compares with baseball. The three hour version of cricket (called Twenty20) is often played after sunset. The 8 hour version does sometimes start at mid-day and continues into the evening.

[–]Aaiishhh 2 points3 points ago

What, your sport doesn't?

[–]ClampingNomads 1 point2 points ago

Oh yes. I heard it was in response to Wagner's operas.

[–]chaos_switch 0 points1 point ago

Yep, it's called Test cricket.

[–]Canumbler 1 point2 points ago

Yes. The one where they wear white clothes goes for 5 days. Though to be honest just standing round in the sun for one entire bloody day makes white clothes a good idea.

[–]Canumbler 1 point2 points ago

They're not khakis. It's a very light material, similar to what baseball pants are made from.
