This is a result of an audio-visual illusion called the McGurk effect. It's shown up here out of context a few times.

This is caused my the offset of the focus of your eye. The sudden blurr that is produced in the gif causes your eye to readjust very quickly. Right now, unfocus your vision quickly and you will hear the same noise.
