I would never mind listening to a friend in a time of need about anything important, ever. Hell the other day while drinking some beers by our friend's pool my one friend had a catharsis that stemmed from an otherwise normal conversation. I was there the whole time to give him support and make sure he was okay with feeling that way etc.

But what I can't stand... what I really can't fucking stand is when they invite me over to their house to complain about non-issue situations they are in by their own fault.

Why did you have me drive to your house if you just wanted to complain about how your SO put you through the "boring/annoying/unfunny/ordinary" things that happen between you two?
