By my reckoning this is the second most reposted /r/nz pic, between facepalmpoliceman.jpg and maoristormtrooper.png

[–]Dead_RoosterTony stanlake 12 points13 points ago

We just need a computer generated oil painting of it now.

I havent seen it before. Its pretty cool.

Keep r/newzealand clean, green and sustainable! Repost - Reuse - Recycle.

Epic fail New Zealand Anonymous group is right up there too.

It's not a repost for those of us that haven't seen it before. Besides, if people don't like it they can just downvote (provided they follow reddiquette™). I've had it with reddit hipsters who won't let other people appreciate good content just because they've seen it before.

I passed no comment on the appropriateness of reposts, only the fact that it was a repost. Typical /r/newzealand Green-loving downvoting left-winger attacking an arguments only made in your imagination.

/r/nz and /r/pics and and shitload of other subreddits. This pic should just be in the FAQ

[–]MatrekJuiceDemands Oral Satisfaction 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, or as the subreddit's host image.

/r/nrl do a similar thing, except they rotate their pic about once a week to whatever topic is relevant at the time (top right of page).

This was my wallpaper... in 2006

[–]MrCynicalMan 3 points4 points ago

I don't care, never seen it, think it is awesome

[–]xmpp 4 points5 points ago

I can see my house

[–]fdrymgr -1 points0 points ago

Me too!

[–]couchmonster 2 points3 points ago

I see some empty land where a house once stood

[–]sheep_shagger 3 points4 points ago

This could be reposted every day and it'd still get my upvote.

[–]_danimal 3 points4 points ago

God I am sick of this repost.

[–]climbtree 0 points1 point ago

Whoa, I never knew how thick the south was with sheep!

[–]paulfknwalsh 0 points1 point ago

interesting thing I just noticed about this picture; the length of coast of the South Island that you can see behind them is, as far as I can tell, around 400km - and that's roughly the same as the average altitude of the International Space Station.

in other words, the background view of this photo is as wide as it is tall. and that's... nice.

Collapse that top thread and this is a nice clean place..

One of favourite backgrounds ever!
