Rules

  1. No screenshots, or pictures with added or superimposed text. This includes image macros, comics, info-graphics and most diagrams. Text (e.g. a URL) serving to credit the original author is exempt.

  2. No gore or porn. NSFW content must be tagged.

  3. No personal information. This includes anything hosted on Facebook's servers, as they can be traced to the original account holder. Stalking & harassment will not be tolerated.

  4. No solicitation of votes (including "cake day" posts), posts with their sole purpose being to communicate with another redditor, or [FIXED] posts. DAE posts go in /r/DoesAnybodyElse. "Fixed" posts should be added as a comment to the original image.

  5. Submissions must link directly to a specific image file or to an image hosting website with minimal ads. We do not allow blog hosting of images ("blogspam"), but links to albums on image hosting websites are okay. URL shorteners are prohibited.

This is different than the "Survivorman 10 days" I'm currently watching here in Canada http://www.oln.ca/details.php?id=38 , seems US dates to follow or it may have started just recently.

Very good, from my understanding its 1 special where he is spending 10 days at one location.

Just putting this out there in case anyone hadn't heard of it as well.

not sure , I think OP link is a new series or a return to the survivorman series but this one (SM10) is a "special" 5-10 episodes. Not too many announcements about it, maybe should as Les on twitter.

This guy is 100x better than bear Grylls. He actually "survives" on his own, sets up his own camera, and is actually awesome. No dramatic scenes like Bear Grylls who "attempts" to make things worse than it should be.

Why does it matter, yes Les does stuff more efficiently and what you'd probably do in a real survival situation but Bear did the extremes. I mean who the fuck is going to give themselves an enema using water with bird shit in it? No one, absolutely no one. I mean i do enjoy survivorman more because i can eat while watching his show but both are enjoyable as long as you dont take man vs. wild too seriously.

After getting divorced and moving to a new flat I remember lying on the bed and watching a full season of Survivorman. Among other things it gave me a lot of manly support to see a grown man contemplate the realities of life out in the wilderness.

You're in luck then. For the new season he's out there for 10 days instead of 7 and each scenario is split up into 2 hour long episodes. Already seen the first 2 episodes and I can say its solid Survivorman all the way!

The new episodes aired on Outdoor Life Network in Canada already. Sounds like they should be airing soon on the Discovery channel in the US soon too. I would seriously like to meet Les too. He's the one tv personality I really want to meet. Sadly, he never seems to come to the west coast and I've got no way to head east to see him there. One of these days...
