Clint Eastwood; a God among man.

[–]Nerdawg 0 points1 point ago

*men?

[–]BinaryRunt 0 points1 point ago

No, man (=humanity).

Thank you for including source in the image (or for using an image with a source if you found and posted it). Here is a link to the actual GQ interview, verifying the quote you posted. Keep it up, that's a great quote!

This has been MagicBob, unofficial quote checker for /r/atheism.

no problem. who doesn't like sources :)

[–]MagicBob78 5 points6 points ago

I assume you mean accurate sources, and to answer I would have to say, "Theists?"

[–]florencemorph 17 points18 points ago

Indeed. Whatever Clint Eastwood says has far More merit than anything Jesus said.

[–]GuyMumbles 11 points12 points ago

As much as I love Mr Eastwood, you gotta admit that comparing him and Jesus is setting the bar pretty low for the former. Eastwood is pretty out of his league.

We have no right to decide who can marry who. "Family Values" does not specifically mean a man and woman in matrimony, although it is possible. Family values are too love one another faithfully, and to show a positive outlook on your community, whether your gay or straight. The "sanctity" of marriage is only being endangered by those who marry and divorce like its a hobby, like some celebrities.

some celebrities

Some? The only celebrity I can think of off the top of my head that never got divorced is Jerry Stiller.

[–]kent_eh 0 points1 point ago

There's lots of them.

The reason you don't hear about their family woes is more likely that they take some effort to keep the paparatzi parasites at a distance from their families.

And keeping their family life seperate from their celebrity life probably contributes to family stability.

My name is Clint. I am cursed with this name. I can never live up to that glorious son of a bitch.

[–]Duceswild 1 point2 points ago

Totally read this in his voice.

[–]absolutedesignz 0 points1 point ago

Definitely.

[–]spear7750 1 point2 points ago

I imagine this taking place with an m1 garand in his hand telling one million moms to get off his lawn.

[–]zeuslovespie 0 points1 point ago

Yea! Damn that freedom of speech! Everybody should all have the same ideals as me!!

[–]postguy2 0 points1 point ago

I can't figure out who you're trying to say is against freedom of speech. Can you clarify?

[–]zeuslovespie 0 points1 point ago

Most people whether they think they are or are not, I'm not specifically aiming it at this post just felt it needed to be out there and this post is somewhat relevant. As you can see many posts have been aimed at Chick-fil-a the last few days, and I have seen one or two correct posts saying that freedom of speech isn't a one way street so sorry if this has been confusing but I'm saying pretty much everyone, it was relevant to this post because it said something about if only more people could be like him, that would be the part about everyone having the same ideals, sorry, I've been rambling for far too long have a good day (and P.S no I'm not against gay marriage or anything like that, just think that they have the right to an opinion)

[–]noah_arcd_left 0 points1 point ago

Fuck yeah, Clint.

[–]keeb119 0 points1 point ago

oh how i love clint. why cant more rightwingers be like this.

[–]CmndrSalamander 0 points1 point ago

Read it as "If only more people were like Clit." Was very confused.

[–]MacSatan 0 points1 point ago

problems? clint will shoot them in the fucking face.

[–]WileEWeeble 0 points1 point ago

...yet he is still a Republican and supports Romney this Fall....go figure.

[–]ImAFlyingWhale -1 points0 points ago

Flawed argument, good one if you don't think too much about it.

[–]postguy2 2 points3 points ago

Typically one would be expected to point out what the flaw is, if declaring that it is flawed. Care to?

[–]Puffy_Ghost -2 points-1 points ago

Clint Eastwood, a registered Republican.

[–]niczar -4 points-3 points ago

I didn't know Clint Eastwood was an atheist!

[–]linux_add 1 point2 points ago

This doesn't say anything about him being an atheist.

[–]niczar -4 points-3 points ago

I see no other reason why this would be posted here.
