Poor dog. My grandmother's dog was kicked in the face by a horse and at first she looked fine, sitting there with her mouth open panting. Then she closed her mouth and her lower jaw was completely sideways. Had to get it wired shut to heal.

In all seriousness a dog that chases horses like that is a serious danger to the riders. This horse was calm and dealt with it by kicking it, but there have been many cases where horses have been spooked and thrown their riders which can result in broken limbs, back, or neck. Dogs that do that sort of thing usually are put down.
