Hey, I knew a man who had 2 X chromosomes. He still had a Y chromosome, too. It's called Klinefelter's syndrome.

[–]SexualArtillery 3 points4 points ago

chance are its choreographed

[–]Retanaru 2 points3 points ago

Indeed, it is a demonstration.

[–]Dracius 1 point2 points ago

I just couldn't see that being effective in an actual fight, seems like you'd just get slammed down onto your back/neck if you tried it.

[–]dillinger__88 1 point2 points ago

If you look carefully he's actually lifting her up onto his shoulders. Still looks cool, though.

[–]OldManPsylus 20 points21 points ago

Should have brought a counterattack.

[–]luigisfuckingpeach 1 point2 points ago

and a copy of Magic Mike.

[–]SocialCarpet 16 points17 points ago

Holy crap is this real life? Link to video??

[–]hayashirice911 3 points4 points ago

It's choreographed, not like it makes it any less of a physical feat, but just letting you know.

[–]yoda133113 0 points1 point ago

While it's still incredibly impressive, and I can't even come close to doing it, it makes it significantly less of a physical feat. Having someone helping you instead of violently opposing you makes a HUGE difference.

[–]SisterPhister 9 points10 points ago

Seriously, source? I want to see this type of competition.

[–]753861429-951843627 24 points25 points ago

That's a demonstration. Observe how the sparring partner of the whirling dervish lifts her up, then swivels his upper body to provide her momentum. It then ends with a very nice roll. What you actually want to see is this

[–]orthag 3 points4 points ago

Never thought to compare exhibition martial arts to dance before. That makes all kinds of sense, really.

[–]Cibarius 1 point2 points ago

2nd. He lifted her

[–]mirchman 0 points1 point ago

In sports like judo one can flip their opponent over just by twisting their wrist in the proper way, but from what I've heard it's always a voluntary twist on the part of said opponent because if you don't you're going to feel some intense pain.

[–]MrBotany 2 points3 points ago

Small joint manipulation is generally illegal in competition. So no wrist locks, finger, or toe manipulation.

[–]753861429-951843627 1 point2 points ago

The wrist-twisting is more an Aikido thing, and Judo is more about leverage. I actually did Judo for a while. The reason why that move is a demonstration is because her momentum comes entirely from his voluntary cooperation.

In Judo, that cooperation is involuntary. The opponents try to get the other person to agree to a momentum and position that allows a throw, either directly or indirectly.

Imagine Bob, who wants to hip-throw Alice. He attempts this by pulling to his left, so that Alice gains a momentum to the left and Bob can then swivel her across his hips (after stepping into the motion). Alice disagrees with Bob's move and resists, and because Bob thinks he is much stronger than Alice, he tries to force the throw by pulling harder. Alice, who is weaker, but clever, knows this, and suddenly agrees to Bob's pulling by completely releasing, stepping back, and pulling Bob in. Bob didn't expect that and loses his balance, leaning heavily to his left and stepping forward. That is enough for Alice to lift her right leg, lean back and twist clockwise, which introduces Bob to the mat. What started as an attempt at a hip throw by Bob ended with a knee wheel by Alice, who just used the momentum that was there anyway to her advantage. By first disagreeing with Bob's movement and then suddenly agreeing, Alice made Bob involuntarily agree with a movement and positioning that allowed her to throw. Depending on her execution, that can also net her more points than Bob simply forcing her over his hips with brute force.

[–]Silvett 2 points3 points ago

Are you serious?

[–]SocialCarpet 0 points1 point ago

Yes

[–]made2k[S] 8 points9 points ago

Here's the YouTube video of the event, about 6 minutes. Sorry it took so long I only have my phone with me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDh2tD8t9FE&feature=youtube_gdata_player

[–]Karrl1z4j2 4 points5 points ago

Holy crap, I have never seen so many vanilla comments get downvoted in a single thread.

I guess it's a bad idea to invoke the name of r/twoxchromosomes, either due to the actual people in that sub or the ones going around trolling/acting like they are.

Seriously like a sub discussion about swing dance had ever comment coming in with negative karma, what the fuck.

[–]luigisfuckingpeach 27 points28 points ago

As a woman, I was subscribed to 2x and I couldn't cope for more than 2 days, they're so feminist and bitchy.

[–]Jaimizzle14 14 points15 points ago

I guess we're not allowed to dislike 2X.

[–]GodOfThunder44 4 points5 points ago

I walked into 2x for about 30 seconds, until I started seeing comments about rounding up men and neutering the ones that aren't "fit for reproduction" getting upvoted.

There's a wide line between feminism and fascism, and 2x is on the wrong side of that line.

[–]AmplePimple 0 points1 point ago

"Your horse has to be this high to use this ride" Tough luck, kiddo.

[–]Jaimizzle14 -5 points-4 points ago

I KNOW, RIGHT? I unsubscribed a few days ago because I posted something asking a question and I got like assaulted with responses telling me how wrong I was about something I wasn't even asking about.

[–]SpinningDespina 4 points5 points ago

I'm guessing you've since deleted it as the only post I can find of yours in 2X, you got great advice and thanked them profusely. :-/

[–]Jaimizzle14 1 point2 points ago

About the maid of honor thing? Yeah, and then I posted something else and got freaked out on. But I was tired of receiving hateful comments, so I deleted it.

[–]luigisfuckingpeach 0 points1 point ago

They were posting pictures of pregnancy tests like "Happy birthday to me!" and I was like "Aww congratulations on being pregnant." But they were showing that they weren't pregnant. I've never known a woman based subreddit who were so unhappy to be women.

[–]Jaimizzle14 1 point2 points ago

I saw that too! I had one of them like down my throat for "offending them" when I said I liked a certain book.

[–]FallingSnowAngel -1 points0 points ago

One of them

Anyone who joins a subreddit speaks for everyone else?

[–]Jaimizzle14 1 point2 points ago

One of them literally down my throat, and the rest were agreeing.

Edit: agreeing with the one down my throat.

[–]FallingSnowAngel 0 points1 point ago

Can you provide a link? I've never seen anything like this happening. It's one of the subreddits I subscribe to get away from the drama of the rest.

[–]Jaimizzle14 1 point2 points ago

I deleted the thread and I'm also on my phone. Let me see though.

[–]Jaimizzle14 1 point2 points ago

http://www.reddit.com/r/TwoXChromosomes/comments/x3win/how_many_of_you_ladies_have_read_fifty_shades_of/

The thing that drove me crazy, was that all I was literally asking is if they could picture this guy playing the character, and then all of a sudden I get bombarded with not only these comments, but messages about how wrong I am for liking this book, how stupidly it's written, how immature I am.

[–]FallingSnowAngel 0 points1 point ago

Ugh. I don't blame you for leaving. So much ignorance in that thread. I'm a submissive with training as a Dom, and there are two important things they're forgetting -

  1. Fantasy isn't a how to book. Sometimes people like things they wouldn't want to have happen to them.

  2. Every review I've ever read by people who actually read the series stresses that she's the one who has the ultimate power. That it's about her erotic awakening, her consent, and that he's both faithful and kind, despite the dark emotions and the pain.

You were in the right. They were in the wrong.

Sorry we lost you as a poster, because of it.

[–]Jaimizzle14 1 point2 points ago

I wish you could have posted this on there.

[–]Jaimizzle14 1 point2 points ago

How do I always piss someone off for giving an opinion? :(

[–]FallingSnowAngel 0 points1 point ago

This entire thread is about people pissed off at people giving an opinion. I'm not pissed off at you, but I'm going to defend 2X as best I can, because it's one of the few places I'm not attacked for offering an opinion.

[–]Jaimizzle14 1 point2 points ago

I had already been on the brink of unsubscribing, but this pushed me over the edge. So much hate over something that could have been scrolled past, but no, because it's a sub of completely women, I get crucified for not agreeing with them.

[–]MeloJelo -5 points-4 points ago

I couldn't cope because they frequently talked about purses and kids and Sex and the City type shit and other things that I have no interest in, despite being female. Occasionally there are some interesting threads, but not often enough for me to subscribe.

[–]SpinningDespina 5 points6 points ago

I've never noticed any posts like this... I'm one who would hate those posts as well.

[–]FallingSnowAngel 0 points1 point ago

I'm a guy and I've never seen anything these people are talking about. My guess is that they look for any thread that confirms their prejudices, and then they bail out with a horror story to tell...

I wonder how other subreddits would look, if we played that game elsewhere in reverse?

[–]SpinningDespina 1 point2 points ago

Yep, I think thats probably it. 'Oh my post got downvoted, this subreddit is full of assholes', 'Oh that one post is primarily aimed at females but doesn't interest me, fuck this subreddit'.

[–]deaft 3 points4 points ago

that was the best move i've ever seen

[–]Alizebet 1 point2 points ago

I need a source, and if OP aint gonna deliver, damn I will find for myself. Wish me luck.

[–]xtfftc 0 points1 point ago

I was hoping it's from an actual competition and not a demonstration :(

I'm sure she can kick the shit out of me anyway but that's not the point.

[–]FlyByPC 1 point2 points ago

Wow. That's almost as realistic as WWF.

[–]xtfftc 2 points3 points ago

It's less really. There's quite a lot of improvisation in WWF, while these demonstrations are practiced to the smallest detail.

[–]Spooge26 2 points3 points ago

you forget the part where he lifts her up

[–]mongster2 0 points1 point ago

I would really like to know if this kind of martial arts technique is viable. It seems like this kind of move couldn't be pulled off without the cooperation of the victim.

[–]plz600 0 points1 point ago

That is the most awesome thing I've ever seen.

[–]MotorMouth93 0 points1 point ago

I've done MMA for about 2 months. This is not a bad representation of what happens to me when I grapple with one of the experienced Ju Jitsu guys.

[–]jcmence1488 0 points1 point ago

Discovered this sub the other day... Why are they so mean?

[–]testerizer -4 points-3 points ago

/r/mensrights is -> that way.

[–]made2k[S] 10 points11 points ago

Just to be clear, I'm not saying 2X is bad by any means. It just isn't a male audience (obviously).

Edit: On a side thought, it actually brings some balance to a somewhat sexist community even if most of the male bias is meant in good humor.

[–]MinimaL_SC 9 points10 points ago

somewhat sexist community even if most of the male bias is meant in good humor.

Yeah, about that...

[–]Dougleton 1 point2 points ago

Holy shit this is so fucking cool. I now agree with whatever this post is about on principle

[–]powered_by_evil -1 points0 points ago

This sounds like a brilliant place to farm negative karma.... LET THE RAMPAGE BEGIN!!!!

That guy picks the woman up. She doesn't just jump up there, but she's guided up there by the man's arm strength.

So the man there is clearly the necessary party for any xx being to do anything good or cool.

Case closed.
