Anyone know what movie this is from?

[–]genericusername98 2 points3 points ago

Not 100%, but I think it's Transporter 3.

[–]superfuzzy 1 point2 points ago

thanks mate

Funny story time.

Friend of mine was in the military at the time. He was a hardcore airborne infantry man who ended up becoming a Ranger on his first try. He is also one to never back down, ever. It's just not in his blood.

Well he comes home to visit and we are driving to one of the local bars in his vehicle to celebrate his home coming. A man speeding in a modified civic, huge spoiler and all, passes us illegally and cute us off. He had to swerve pretty severally kicking us off on to the shoulder, hitting a construction cone. My friend was pissed as his car was brand new, litterally only 5k miles on it and it fucked up his bumper as we were going 45.

At the next light guess who is in front us? The douche that just cut us off. So he laid on his horn to the point the guy got out of his car and started screaming his head off. He looked like the absolute stereotype of a college frat boy.

What does my friend do? With out a word he reaches in the back seat area and pulls out a cross wrench for his tires and gets out of the car. Being the total bro I am I get out thinking he is going to kill this giant queef of a man.

Nope.

He walks up to the guy leaving about 15 feet inbetween each other. I'm still getting out of the car as I hear the frat boy say, no scream, "What, you need a weapon to fight me?!". I then see my friend throw the tire iron at his feet and he replies with, "No mother fucker, that is for you because in about 5 seconds I'm going to kick your ass and shove that fucking attitude up your ass."

The frat boys face was priceless. Like a Deer caught in the headlights. He immediatly retreated back to his car with my friend in hot pursuit. He simply couldn't open the door fast enough and was planted squarely on his face. We held him there until law enforcement arrived.

The kid was charged with DUI, underage drinking, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), aggressive driving, open container, minor in possession of alcohol, illegal window tint, expired tags, no insurance and illegal exhaust (litterally no muffler). The entire time the cops could not help but laugh about how with out a single punch thrown he fled for his life simply due to intimidation. He was also wanted on three failure to appear warrants for speeding.

I like to think we took a litteraly dangerous person, both driving and to the gene pool, off the road.

[–]Notalec 174 points175 points ago

Great story, I was expecting a gun instead of a tire iron given the context.

Also,

illegal window tint

ಠ_ಠ

[–]Alphachicken 131 points132 points ago

In some places drivers side windows cant be legally tinted as criminals have used that to avoid being ID'd by road cops.

[–]leculver 129 points130 points ago

It's also very dangerous for a cop approaching the car, as he won't be able to see into the window if the guy has a gun/whatnot.

[–]Nebulaoblivion 156 points157 points ago

Also, if your windows are too dark, you can't see shit at night.

[–]Cheezykins 37 points38 points ago

Yeah this is the only reason it's illegal here in the UK. Traffic cops carry light meters to test tinted windows to see if they're legal or not.

[–]Nebulaoblivion 25 points26 points ago

Honestly, before this thread I hadn't even considered another reason.

[–]Fiasko21 19 points20 points ago

When you live in Florida none of that matters, all that matters is having 5% tint so you don't melt your face.

[–]BallsOfBallsOfBalls 15 points16 points ago

Seriously, just listen to Indy and don't look at the ark.

HA! Buick Roadmaster, metal fixtures everywhere, summer in FUCKING TEXAS, literally over 110 degrees for most of the summer... Got a second degree burn putting my seatbelt on.

[–]PlanetPiss305MIA 1 point2 points ago

Window tint, no turn signal, or bass too loud are all excuses to pull you over to check you for drugs. Don't consent to search? That's ok we'll just wait 45 minutes for k9 to arrive. Welcome to Florida, where if you drive north on any major highway/interstate you're obviously a drug runner.

[–]Gracksploitation 5 points6 points ago

Window tint, no turn signal, or bass too loud are all excuses

TIL that not signaling turns is perfectly acceptable to some people. Always thought people who don't signal are absent-minded idiots, today I learn that some of them are just douchebags.

[–]sphenisciformes 2 points3 points ago

I'm with you on that one.

[–]DarkRider23 0 points1 point ago

TIL that not signaling turns is perfectly acceptable to some people.

You don't need to signal 100% of your turns (not sure if it's legal to not signal a turn though!). If I'm turning right and there are no cars behind me, why signal if I can see the road clearly? If I'm changing lanes on the highway and there is no one near me, why signal? And my favorite, why do I have to signal if I'm in a "Left turn only" lane? Logic suggests that I'm going to turn left.

Just playing devil's advocate here. I do signal all the time because it really is no effort at all to do so. Not signaling should be perfectly acceptable, but that cop that's parked in the firehouse's driveway might have a problem with you not signaling when there's no one else on the road operating a vehicle.

[–]malvoliosf 7 points8 points ago

You don't have to wait. Without probable cause to search you, they don't have probable cause to detain you.

They just ask you to wait.

And you do.

[–]HentaiTentacleDemon 2 points3 points ago

Are you detaining me?

Am I free to go?

[–]MyJimmies 2 points3 points ago

Yup, I've been running 5% tint for 2 years now. Beforehand a road trip to Daytona would give me a sunburn on my arm. Now I just drive around at night with my windows down because I don't want to worry cops. I'll still keep my awesome tint, though.

[–]Fiasko21 -1 points0 points ago

Me too, and my windshield is tinted 50%.

Also I never put my windows down... Rule #1 on my car.

[–]Sl4ught3rH0us3F1v3 4 points5 points ago

My mate is not the sharpest tool in the shed. He is naturally cop bait so wanted his tint to be legal. So he went to one tinting place and got "darkest legal" and then went to another and again got "darkest legal" on top of the first tint... lol

[–]retrogreq 1 point2 points ago

Same in the US. They have little things they clip on the tops of the (slightly rolled down) windows, and it tells them the % of the window tint. (In case you didn't know, window tint is measured by the % of light it lets through.)

[–]postal83 0 points1 point ago

Same with Oregon, USA. It's grey and shitty 80% of the time so low visibility... just like the UK!

[–]Ls_Lps_Snk_Shps -4 points-3 points ago

Pro tip, install a switch that disconnects the power to the power windows. When pulled over roll your windows all the way down and turn off the power to the window motors. Can't roll the window up, can't test em.

[–]sireatalot 6 points7 points ago

Sounds like a good way to piss a LEO off.

[–]ferrocactus 0 points1 point ago

If you're rolling your windows down to give them vision, odds are is because you want to keep the tint and not shoot them. If you're the type of person who would murder a police officer, and they demand you remove your illegally dark tint, you'll either:

  • Not do it
  • Do it, but have it re-done later when you're in a cop-killing mood

Dark tint should allow the cops to pull you over and check your info out, but I don't think it should be illegal >.>

[–]Sanitary_Lumpkin 1 point2 points ago

In WA I was pulled over for my window tint. I have 25% all around except for 5% in the rear window and 50% on the windshield. The cop said it was too hard to see me and that the legal limit for WA is 24% for the front 3 windows. I told him what I had and he checked with his tint device and it showed 19%. He said that some cars have existing tint on the windows out of the factory . But I've seen my car from the outside before and you can see everything inside just fine. It was a cloudy day when I got pulled over and I notice that car windows are harder to look through with that gray glare.

He didn't ticket me and said that I most likely wouldn't be ticketed for it, but it definitely gives them a reason to pull me over every time.

[–]Benders_brick 9 points10 points ago

Lol this is the reason our country has laws like that. Probably because we don't have the same percentage of violent crimes.

[–]corcyra 3 points4 points ago

There's another thing: if your windows are too dark, other drivers and pedestrians can't see if they've made eye contact with you.

[–]Socky_McPuppet 21 points22 points ago

"Back off man - I've got a whatnot!"

[–]cr0aker 7 points8 points ago

This is why I always roll down both windows and place my hands on the top of the steering wheel when there's a cop approaching my car.

[–]Daxos157 11 points12 points ago

I used to be a cop and this is greatly appreciated.

[–]Osiris32 3 points4 points ago

Car off, hands on the steering wheel, dome light on, a friendly smile, and a pleasant demeanor. This will get you out of about 50% of traffic-based contacts without a ticket.

[–]Sloppy1sts 2 points3 points ago

And turn on your interior lights.

[–]MyJimmies 1 point2 points ago

Mine are broken.

[–]killextro 2 points3 points ago

Your lights or Jimmies?

[–]Funk_Munki 1 point2 points ago

This one always confused me. When I lived in NC there was literally no rear window tint law, but the side windows couldn't be darker than 30% (IIRC). To me this makes no sense because last time I checked cops pull you over and approach your vehicle from the rear so technically you could have someone sitting in the back seat with a shotgun facing the rear and waiting for the officer to exit his vehicle only to light him up. I would think that people wouldn't be allowed to tint rear windows at all, yet they can have them completely blacked out in some states.

[–]Rhakan 3 points4 points ago

It's actually a safety issue. In most areas the law states that no tint is allowed on the windshield, zero to a small amount is allowed (depending on area) on the front side windows, and unlimited tint elsewhere. The idea is that tint makes it harder for you to see and thus harder for you to drive safely, especially at night.

Also, the tint has to be applied in a certain way to be road legal. Apparently some of the cheap shit can mess up the characteristics of safety glass in an accident.

[–]raphidae 1 point2 points ago

I have had all my windows mirror-coated. It's not technically a tint, and visibility out is pretty much unaffected. Visibility in is practically zero unless you are standing really close, shield the window from any light falling on it or it's dark outside and the interior is illuminated.

Those devices that test the % of light that it lets through measure it at 90-95%. Haven't gotten a ticket yet :)

[–]wolfchimneyrock 4 points5 points ago

nyc specifically forbids mirror tints, no matter what % they are

[–]KarmaForHire 0 points1 point ago

Nj does as well. No tints allowed on the windshield or front windows but the backs can be tinted as dark as you want. No mirror tint allowed at all however.

[–]izzeyy 0 points1 point ago

MI allows mirrored tint as long as it is less than 35% reflective.

[–]raphidae 1 point2 points ago

Interresting, surely this is in response to someone having mirror coating :)

I live in NL, and the law does not mention mirror coatings. Since everthing that is not specifically disallowed is allowed.

[–]Firebird4Life 3 points4 points ago

Yup. Here in NJ, you can't have windows at the same level as the driver (read: front windows in a sedan, side windows for a coupe) or the windshield tinted. Some states also have laws about how dark they can be as well.

[–]The_Dane 5 points6 points ago

Another, and some would say real, reason after-market window tints are not allowed is because the after-market tints are usually applied in a sheet or film that covers the window, which prevents the shatterproof glass from breaking easily and with minimal harm to the passenger/driver in the event of an accident.

Source: The cop who pulled me over for my tint.

[–]winkandthegun 2 points3 points ago

I showed the cop my tints and he let me go without a ticket...

my god, who is this?

[–]hahahahawoo 0 points1 point ago

Please deliver

[–]Fajner1 1 point2 points ago

(NSFW, titties)

[–]magus424 0 points1 point ago

Well, no, because tint isn't completely illegal. Tints that are too dark are illegal.

Hence, that reason is total bullshit.

[–]The_Dane 1 point2 points ago

Tints that are darker have a thicker film that wont tear in the event of an accident, so there is some correlation between darkness and injury risk.

[–]silentkill144 0 points1 point ago

Or more realistically they were too dark.

[–]Necrix 1 point2 points ago

Actually California and Utah do not allow any form of window tint on the two front windows of any vehicle, in the remaining states we tint our windows to get out of the sun, reduce heat and protect our vehicles interior. Do not assume people who tint their front windows are "criminals".

...I own a successful window tinting business.

[–]Butt_Patties 1 point2 points ago

Supposedly you can sometimes get away with a heavy tint if you have eye problems such as light sensitivity.

Of course you may still get a ticket or need a doctor to provide you with proof.

Also, don't quote me on it please.

[–]fuzzb0y 1 point2 points ago

In Vancouver, it's illegal to tint the front windows, you can tint the back windows though.

[–][deleted] ago

[–]firefae_ignis 0 points1 point ago

Its usually the amount of light that does not make it inside through with a percentage. Haven't heard of any other measurements for tiny before your comment. Percentage allowed differs by state and local laws.

[–]sweetmercy 18 points19 points ago

I've gotten ticketed for my window tint, but the judge said because it was factory installed, I don't have to remove it and he dismissed it.

[–]samsquamsch 2 points3 points ago

Nice. When doing a little research to see how much tint I should go with (ended up going with the nationally-legal 35%) I found lots of stories where the police officer made the person destroy their existing tint with a razor when it was found to be too dark. That and not wanting to be pulled over in the first place made me go legal with it, but goddamn, do I wish I could have at least 20% tint.

[–]sweetmercy 19 points20 points ago

The cop that ticketed me was actually reprimanded in the courtroom when I went, because of his jackassery. The situation was that I'd paid my registration, and the car passed smog, but the 'check engine' light was on, so I couldn't get the smog certificate because it failed the 'visual check'. Replaced all of the O2 sensors, but the light was still on, and the computer was still saying it was the O2 sensor. I was on my way to get yet another O2 sensor when he pulled me over for the tint. He ended up towing my car, because of the registration sticker being expired, despite my having paid the registration, and then ticketing me with 4 or 5 different infractions, including the tint. Mind you, at the time I was pulled over, I was going through chemo, and the car was my only way to get to the San Diego Cancer Center...which was a good 25-30 miles from my home.

The judge told him he was obviously on a power trip, that cops like him were the reason so many citizens were wary and untrusting of police, and that it was in his best interest to learn the difference between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law.

[–]jscribble 12 points13 points ago

Holy success story, Batman! Hope the chemo worked!

[–]sweetmercy 5 points6 points ago

It did, thank you! I still have to have an endoscopy every 6 months or so. I have pernicious anemia, which is known for causing tumors in the stomach. I currently have 13 adenomas, which they're monitoring.

It was pretty satisfying seeing the judge scold him after he'd behaved like such a cold-hearted jerk to my daughter, my friend and I. He left us stranded, at night, a few miles from home. He was taking my car, I think he could at least make sure we made it home safely.

[–]jscribble 3 points4 points ago

That's nuts! I cannot imagine the feeling walking out of that courtroom. Your fellow citizens thank you for that court appearance. It's likely that if it went uncontested, he never would have received any warning.

Congrats on your (relatively) good health!

[–]sweetmercy 2 points3 points ago

Thank you! I read somewhere that the vast majority of tickets, legit or not, go uncontested...and that encourages many cops to give questionable citations. Ever since I read that, I've made it a point to fight any ticket I get and encourage other people to do the same. There is almost always, at the very least, a reduction in the fines and a chance to go to traffic court to keep it from your DMV record, and often the officer doesn't bother to show up, and it will be dismissed.

Thank you also for the congratulations. It's been a long, long journey, with still some traveling to do!

[–]Sanitary_Lumpkin 1 point2 points ago

Yes, fight EVERY ticket you get. Contest it and send a request for discovery when you get a court date. You'll find that cops make a lot of mistakes when filling out their reports and most of the time you'll get out of the ticket with little effort. It's mostly just an inconvenience.

[–]Bige1212 4 points5 points ago

My friends mother was pulled over twice on the same trip to (and from) the store for having her windows tinted too much.

[–]ugug51 0 points1 point ago

Gotta love the desert. Limo tint all the way!

[–]Argyle_Raccoon 2 points3 points ago

I knew someone who had illegal tints on the car he had bought. The passenger side one broke and he had it replaced with a lighter legal on, but the drivers side one was obviously too dark. He got pulled over twice for it and would roll his drivers window all the way down and pull off on the left. Both times it was the same cop who ended up testing the passenger side, realized it was okay, and left confused.

[–]plastiqmanb 0 points1 point ago

Dont go to New York!

[–]hybridsilence 0 points1 point ago

It is illegal to have your front driver/passenger windows tinted in quite a few states, like here in Vermont.

[–]jimboy5 1 point2 points ago

Its a really big deal in California. It was rumored that police gave you a razor and windex and made you scrape off your tint right then and there. Especially in Stockton which had 1,380 violent crimes per 100,000 (6th). Course that is just hearsay, I don't know if they really did that or not.

[–]izzeyy 1 point2 points ago

A friend of mine in Michigan has gotten pulled over twice by the same cop for having his front windows tinted.

The first time he was given a fix-it ticket, and just had to show them that he took it off.

The second time, the cop gave him a choice of either taking it off at the stop, or getting an actual ticket.

[–]audiologist2016 0 points1 point ago

In my town, tint that has less than or equal to 15% VLT (visible light transmission) is illegal. Most states...probably all states...have a tint limit. I'd venture to say most jurisdictions in the world.

[–]majortom1981 41 points42 points ago

That works until the army guy is the one doing the illegal thing. I was ina road rage incident during rush hour traffic. I was in the left lane bumper to bumper traffic. The marine cuts over 2 lanes of traffic to get into the hov lane and starts honking and cursing at me to let him in. I cant because its bumper to bumper traffic. He follows me for 5 miles and forces me to the side of the road. I open my window and yell at him leave me alone or i will call the cops. He says go ahead pussy and punches me in the face.

He wa a marine and even told the sheriff that. I think military people have rage issues and should have to take a class or something before being discharged. The sherif was on my side and held him so i could leave without him following me.

[–]lordnecro 20 points21 points ago

I work near DC so there is military everywhere. Unfortunately when I hear stories they tend to be more like yours than the other way around.

[–]Caladan13 28 points29 points ago

That's because most of the sane people in the military don't feel the need to brag about their job. In fact, it's standard instruction to not reveal your military status to anyone you don't know personally. The reason you hear a disproportionate of unfavorable stories about certain groups of people, is that the good ones are completely unremarkable and don't often warrant retelling.

"Today, a military member slowed down to let me pass before merging into my lane"

Isn't nearly as exciting, is it?

[–]lordnecro 7 points8 points ago

I ride the train with lots of military people daily, most seem to actually be quieter than the rest of the commuters. I have certainly never seen any problems myself.

Comparing the two stories it was stories that go beyond slowing down to let someone merge. It was physical confrontation to help or harm, both of which are "good" stories for the purposes of retelling.

[–]CalistaF 4 points5 points ago

This is why I'm happy my state extends castle doctrine to cars, never had an issue like this.

[–]Shoola 3 points4 points ago

"I think military people have rage issues..."

Oh, so all people in the military are the same now? They're not individual people who make wrong and right decisions?

[–]calladus 2 points3 points ago

Speaking as ex-Air Force, I was stationed on Okinawa, and we certainly noticed that the younger Marine Corps members there had "issues" totally out of proportion to their population on the island.

While I was there, at least one beach had posted signs saying, "No Marines under E4 unaccompanied by family".

One of my Marine acquaintances cross trained from the Marines into the Air Force. He said it was partly because there were no jobs for a machine gunner in the civilian world, and partly because, "The Corps makes me crazy!" He once lost his shit because a civilian had "disrespected him", so he brandished a machete and chased the civilian into a storm drain.

Most of my Marine friends are pretty casual and cool, but for more than a few of them, Marine basic training seems to turn them into idiots.

[–]Shoola -1 points0 points ago

Most of the guys I know aren't marines, so this behavior is definitely news to me. Such a bummer that many of them are representing the corps so poorly.

[–]majortom1981 -5 points-4 points ago

Every military person I have ever met has had rage issues. So I am not afraid to say that yes I think they do. I also know for a fact that cops also have rage issues.

Its because of how they are trained. they are trained to be in control of the situation and when they are not in control of the situation they freak out.

[–]Shoola 2 points3 points ago

I know plenty of military personnel who do not have rage issues, and who actually stay calmer in times of crisis because of their training. Your anecdotal evidence doesn't justify your generalizing a lot of different people inside of very large institutions. I had a teacher with tenure who was lazy, does that mean I can say all teachers with tenure are lazy?

[–]Defiant47 3 points4 points ago

Haha, combat exercises and wartime operations are "in control of the situation". Cute.

[–]dashtyle 4 points5 points ago

I wanted to write an angry comment about your ignorance, but I guess you've just been unfortunate enough to never meet a respectable military man, and that's not ignorance. I will say it's ignorant to paint a whole group one way based on your experience with an incredibly small number of them.

[–]dashtyle 1 point2 points ago

Dude, I understand your point. Yes, there are some guys that come out of the military/police with rage issues. Maybe it's more prevalent there because of the type of people that choose those professions, maybe it's because of their training, maybe it's because of their work environment, I don't know. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm saying it's wrong to say that about every military member.

[–]thefielder 0 points1 point ago

Been in the military for 6 years and counting. No rage issues here. Ask my co workers, my wife or my 3 small children.

[–]callupchuck 13 points14 points ago

Just to defend my fraternity history... He would never get in but the most abhorrent excuses for fraternities. He is clearly a piece of shit and nobody would rush him.

[–]featherfooted 15 points16 points ago

If he wasn't showing any letters, he probably wasn't even in a fraternity. Not saying that all fraternity men would always wear their letters everywhere, but statistically speaking, the average person on the street (and even the average person who is also a douchebag) is probably not a fraternity man.

[–]acdcfanbill 9 points10 points ago

far better than the op's gif.

[–]dham11230 22 points23 points ago

If he was in a fraternity, he would have insurance. They don't let in plebeians

[–]caseyfw 23 points24 points ago

More funny story time.

One of my friends worked for a defence contractor in Canberra, Australia and was returning from a trade show with his boss in a ute (pickup truck) with their hardware in the back - a very realistic scale replica of a self-targetting anti-aircraft canon.

Some idiot did something stupid to them on the road so they turned the canon's targeting software on from the cabin and had it train on the douchebag's car as they overtook them. Apparently they had similar results to the crazy russian guy with the gun.

Ninja edit: They used to do crazy shit with their model all the time. Where they worked had a cafeteria, so they setup one in the corner that would track people wearing red.

[–]Traumahawk 0 points1 point ago

Hah, love it.

[–]flyby13 9 points10 points ago

I wish someone would cute me off

[–]ShortSomeCash 1 point2 points ago

Eye for detail there, sonny.

[–]Sanitary_Lumpkin 1 point2 points ago

You don't want that. Trust me. You don't.

[–]nbenzi 7 points8 points ago

fuck that piece of shit.

[–]fillerbunny 5 points6 points ago

He didn't have to cute him off

[–]redvandal 1 point2 points ago

[–]Anshin 0 points1 point ago

Anyone know how much jail time that would lead to?

[–]flyersfan78 0 points1 point ago

I would like to buy a beer for you and two for your friend for being awesome, and a sincere Thank You to your military friend.

[–]rebootyourbrainstem 0 points1 point ago

I started laughing halfway through the list of charges. Gotta love justice sometimes :`)

[–]stanfan114 0 points1 point ago

Is your friend's name Reacher?

[–]Boost77 1 point2 points ago

I was expecting him to knock him down, screw loose his tires and throw away the nuts.

[–]doyduhdoh 0 points1 point ago

Good work team.

[–]jesse950 0 points1 point ago

Your army ranger friend was portrayed as The ROCK in my head

[–]maddonkee 2 points3 points ago

Story sounds believable but it also sounds too fake for me. I mean a car with 5k miles and he has a tire iron in the back seat. Not something many people throw in a back seat when going to some other town for a visit or when going to a bar.

(the following happened in about 20 seconds) Nevertheless my road rage incident happened when a car cut me off trying to take an exit ramp and they couldn't quite make it around May. I blew my horn at them and laughed as we hit a red light right after that. There were 3 large black guys in there that just got out and started yelling and cursing at me. I panicked when they approached my car but was trapped and couldn't drive off. One guy starts trying to open my passenger side door and starting hitting the glass. I was starting to think that I was about to get my ass kicked or car busted up.

I had just left the hardware store where I had just bought a gator machete like on The Walking Dead show and other gardening stuff. I reached back and grabbed it and then opened the door. At first I think they were unaware of what it was until I took it out of the sheath. Then they ran off and traffic around cleared up amazingly fast. No one was hurt, I drove away raging with adrenalin soaking in what happened glad I didn't get shot or something.

[–]doctorstrangehate -1 points0 points ago

This really was a COOL STORY, Bro.

[–]charonsobol -3 points-2 points ago

That was clever of your friend to get out of the car with a wrench before seeing how the other guy looked. Better safe than sorry.

[–]ibetrollingyou 0 points1 point ago

Uh, he said he was in the military or something, I'm sure he would've been able to handle himself.

[–]Cask_Strength_Islay 0 points1 point ago

A ranger, nonetheless.

[–]fartcatcher -5 points-4 points ago

Your friend's threat doesn't make any sense. He was leaving the guy the wrench to extricate the guy's attitude from his ass? How does that make any sense?

[–]admiraljustin 8 points9 points ago

No, he was giving the wrench to the guy, to help even the odds.

When your badass enough to give the other guy a weapon just to be fair, it can be more intimidating than just coming up to him.

[–]4rch 1 point2 points ago

Ooohhhh. I thought he was going to do something with his tire near the end

[–]eithris 0 points1 point ago

it didn't make sense to the punk either, and that's part of the beauty of it.

[–]_That_One_Guy_ 2 points3 points ago

"Here, take this tire iron. You're gonna need it for this to be anywhere near a fair fight. "

[–]ajc3691 16 points17 points ago

me and my friend were driving near sarah lawrence college, and a car full of students who i guess thought they were better than us rolled up next to our honda civic in their bmw and were pointing, cursing and generally beign assholes for no reason...just sitting at a red light....my friend who was driving rolls the window down, takes the cap off his nearly full gatorade, gives them the middle finger, and chucks the gatorade into their car through the window

[–]RustBrotherOne 1 point2 points ago

I had a similar experience, college kids and everything, only my dumbass friend took out his lighter and a mcdonalds bag filled with garbage (mainly hamburger wrappers n shit) and lights that shit on fire. Tosses it right into the open window as I pass by.

I sped the fuck home and afterwards reconsidered my choice in friends. Still, halfway funny experience.

[–]ajc3691 2 points3 points ago

at least you got an awesome story out of it, i love those fuck you moments where assholes get what they deserve....whether it's a gatorade shower or a flaming bag of garbage

[–]RustBrotherOne 1 point2 points ago

hahaha that is very true. I was freaked out that we were gunna get arrested though, god that would have ended so badly. xD

My friend has pulled shit like this on people before, and I guess he'll continue to do so. But still. Damn. xD

[–]I_Dont_Eat 16 points17 points ago

The first gif I ever saw on reddit :') memories...

[–]pursuitofsadness 82 points83 points ago

Dat trigger discipline.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points ago

Did a double take now too, you're right. That makes this Gif more awesome than ever.

[–]Shoola 4 points5 points ago

why? it's pretty easy to remember and fairly unremarkable.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

Because it adds to the realism of the situation. I've managed to miss this gif before so it's a first for me.

[–]pursuitofsadness 2 points3 points ago

I just always admire when people are treating guns for what they are: killing tools

And good trigger discipline is not anywhere near as common as you make it out to be.

[–]Shoola 2 points3 points ago

Sorry, I guess I haven't shot around at different places enough then. I go to range with a pretty responsible group of people and trigger discipline is pretty normal.

[–]pursuitofsadness 3 points4 points ago

Yeah, the fact that you go to a range at all says something about your conditioning for the discipline of handling a firearm responsibly. A lot of people (speculation here, based on one or two bad experiences) just haven't developed good habits and don't put in the conscious effort to keep their finger off the trigger and the barrel pointed down range.

[–]The__IT__Guy -3 points-2 points ago

Ctrl + F "Trigger"
Not disappointed.

[–]Minivans 4 points5 points ago

cool

[–]i_am_Jarod 7 points8 points ago

What movie is this?

[–]redchopper 13 points14 points ago

It's called "Десантура" (Russian slang for paratroopers). It's a story about three guys who's been friends since military academy. This gif is from that part where one of them decided to take his chances in some shady business.

[–]i_am_Jarod 1 point2 points ago

[–]johnny_5ive 1 point2 points ago

Nope, that's Hot Fuzz. Watch it!

[–]i_am_Jarod 0 points1 point ago

Ah I've seen that one, forgot the scene :)

[–]acey365 0 points1 point ago

[–]space_age_wizard 0 points1 point ago

No, that's "Hot Fuzz"

[–]tuneznz 0 points1 point ago

no

[–]redchopper 0 points1 point ago

No. It's Hot Fuzz with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. This is Desantura: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1743280/

I just love how the post with the lamest and shittiest title got the most points...

[–]NoOneLovesMe 10 points11 points ago

I like how iSperminator tried to double up in 2 different subreddits. (Same title).

[–]albequirky 5 points6 points ago

No one considered it lame 5 months ago.

[–]yeah_right_okay_sure 23 points24 points ago

this repost makes me feel old.

[–]cepxico 11 points12 points ago

One day, when my car is an unsalvagable rust bucket, I am going to ram the damn thing into the first person that decides they want to be an asshole that day.

[–]systmh 3 points4 points ago

I think the way he pats his bud on the shoulder afterwards is a nice touch. He must be a pretty cool guy.

[–]Suxout 2 points3 points ago

I love the bad assed camaraderie shoulder tap at the end.

[–]CleanBill 6 points7 points ago

how to handle reposts

[–]Deergoose 7 points8 points ago

I was high and waiting at a Steak n Shake drive thru for my double spicy chicken sammich to cook. Some SUV rolled up behind me, and some drunk got out and started pissing on the dumpsters. He saw me shaking my head at him in the mirror and decided to talk some shit. He was hollering at me and shit ( this is like 3AM ). Eventually he walked up to my passenger seat window talking shit ( he was a bro with his hat turned backwards like a lil punk ) so I grabbed one of those hand grip exercise thingys and held it like it was a knife. The second he looked in the window he turned around and walked his ass right back into his ride's car. He had his head turned saying "I'll knock you out", as he immediately went from being a hard ass drunk to a little school girl. I got such a kick out of it, especially considering he could have beaten my ass.

[–]fernguts 2 points3 points ago

How do I handle repost rage?

[–]Ejdl 1 point2 points ago

[–]AKSasquatch 1 point2 points ago

i understand reposts happen but seriously this is the 4th time in one month.

[–]BDaught 1 point2 points ago

Holy shit the reposts are thick today...

[–]hi_i_am_new 1 point2 points ago

I once did that, but waving a (real) pistol instead. I saw the guys in the other turn white and panic. I almost crashed into a red light while doing it.

Good times.

[–]Kerez 1 point2 points ago

In Soviet Russia...

[–]MADBAKER 2 points3 points ago

jesus christ how many more times are we going to see this.

[–]pie-man 1 point2 points ago

depends, lets say you live to be 85 and you are going to be a redditor till you die, at an average of 5 reposts per year, so (85 - your age) X 5 = number of times you will see this again

[–]KratosOdinSon 0 points1 point ago

Very NICE

[–]Smilfink 0 points1 point ago

I dont know what I expected.

[–]Charleybucket 0 points1 point ago

You KNOW this happened in Russia.

[–]benp80 0 points1 point ago

The pat on the shoulder at the end seals the deal for me. "Man fuck those guys, right Mikhail?

[–]uberpwnzorz 0 points1 point ago

it's so funny how he slammed on his breaks and is way the fk back by the end, lmfao.

[–]cubbycrusader 0 points1 point ago

[–]Polske322 0 points1 point ago

[–]PrincessOfChina 0 points1 point ago

The funny part was the pat on the shoulder XD

[–]Chaotix247 0 points1 point ago

I don't care how many times this is reposted it always puts a smile to my face!

[–]OrnateFreak -4 points-3 points ago

I wish I could do that in the US... So many reckless drivers on the roads where I live.

[–]guaranic 27 points28 points ago

If you did that in some parts of the US, I bet the guy in the other car would pull out a gun as well.

[–]ActuallyYeah 1 point2 points ago

I love the scene in Gran Torino where the fat gangbanger in a $4,000 ricer totes a $5,000 uzi. Hehe, still laughing.

[–]yudo 4 points5 points ago

A shitty riced out EJ Civic costing $4k? An UZI costing $5k?

Where do you live?

[–]ActuallyYeah 1 point2 points ago

Uh I uh I figured the illegal uzi would be cheap and they'd have money to blow on the car? Is this where my man cred finally meets its maker?

[–]o0_Rock_Leone_0o 1 point2 points ago

Actually, yeah.

[–]acepiloto 1 point2 points ago

Except for the fact that you could be charged with assault with a deadly weapon...

[–]putoutorgetout 0 points1 point ago

Most likely be charged with brandishing because no assault occurred. However good chance – depending on the state - they would get off in this instance.

[–]User_name_taken_1111 -1 points0 points ago

Funny story. I just happened to have a rear facing camera and a machine gun....

[–]Sion202 -1 points0 points ago

I've seen this over 9000 times already...
