No non-ragecomics allowed If you aren't telling a story, there are no characters, action, or similar, then its not a rage comic. This includes comics ending in AdviceAnimals
No comparison comics These are comics that compare one thing to another. If you're making any comparison in your comic, chances are you're doing it wrong
No reposting This subreddit is for original content only, meaning comics YOU made. Don't post stuff you found from elsewhere on the web, it's probably been here already. And don't resubmit your comic because it did poorly. Reposting will result in a ban
Upvotes don't matter It doesn't matter if your comic has 1.21 Gigavotes, we can and will remove it if it violates any of the rules
No meta-posts Don't make a comic complaining about another user, comic, or the moderators. Additionally, don't make comics to “introduce” a new rageface
NSFW tags are free Please use NSFW tags for anything that might have the remote possibility of getting somone fired or in trouble
Comics must be between 2 and 8 panels Your comic must be between 2 and 8 panels long. We don't want single panels, nor do we want novels. No comics made of double-width panels only
No blogposts Blogposts are preachy, self-serving, boring comics. These often take the form of a full-panel stare face lecturing someone, posts about how your dog/cat/grandpa died, and similar. Your post must be relatable, not a personal anecdote
No vote-begging Do not mention cakedays, karma, upvotes, or anything similar
Be light on text People come here for quick, simple humor. If you find your comic heavy on words, try submitting it to /r/ragenovels. This includes labeling ”poorly drawn televisions” and similar
No non-images If your comic is from some site other than imgur or minus, then its not permitted, and will be removed as spam
No dead horse beating Avoid tropes of rage comics, including, but not limited to le, das, moi, true story, [FIRST], Extra Panel, and [FIXED]
Mods have the final say If a comic is removed by a moderator, even if it doesn't seem to violate any of the other rules, it remains removed

FAQ

hover for details

Why isn't my comic on the "new" tab? Give it a second. It was probably caught by the evil robotic spam filter, but we've created an even more powerful robot to save everything from the filter; it just can take a couple minutes. If it still doesn't work, message the moderators with a link to the comment thread of the post to have it approved
Can I be a moderator, too? As much as we love when community members want to help out, we can't accept requests for becoming moderators, or we'd be overwhelmed with nothing but such requests. Therefore, requesting to be a moderator will actually result in you getting banned instead. When we feel we need more moderators, we recruit from a list of people we have identified as being helpful and positive role models for the community. If you want to be a mod one day, that's how you'll go about doing it
How do I get flair? If you ask for flair, we will never give it to you, no matter how many blowjobs you offer

My parents both got it....... Although during the ring part my dad kept saying "one ring to rule them all, one ring to bind them" over and over.

[–]thiswhovian 4 points5 points ago

He sounds cool.

[–]JoelMontgomery 4 points5 points ago

Your dad thinks the same way I do.

One ring to bring them all, And in the darkness, bind them

[–]Emzx3 22 points23 points ago

I personally think the Olympic Ceremony was amazing. It reflected the story of Britain through the ages, using dancing, singing and miming to tell the stories. There were also funny parts, like when the Queen jumped out of a helicopter with James Bond.

[–]MrMastodon 2 points3 points ago

I actually laughed so hard I almost pissed myself when I saw it was actually The Queen. I thought "Fuck me, that aul doll is definitely game for a laugh". I think with a Northern irish accent you see.

[–]ALPB11 1 point2 points ago

Holy shit, you're northern Irish too? When I watched it, I was like, aye, look at the cut of the aul woman.

[–]MrMastodon 0 points1 point ago

And my sister started spouting "I love the Queen" and 10 minutes later when they played God Save The Queen went back to "Aye I hate this bullshit, turn it over".

[–]Sch1308 0 points1 point ago

it wasn't actually the queen but it was a great looking double.

[–]MrMastodon 0 points1 point ago

Just let me have my lie.

[–]SofiaAaA 0 points1 point ago

The Queen didn't look very impressed, she was looking at her nails. BTW I also laughed so hard when I saw the doll being thrown out.

[–]SofiaAaA 0 points1 point ago

It was amazing. It's just most people don't understand it because, it had a lot of british history which isn't really lernt about in different countries, and it had british humour, which is also not really understood by people not having lived in britian/UK.

[–]SofiaAaA 0 points1 point ago

And lots of people didn't understand the part about lots of JK Rowlings book characters being put in a show.

[–]KeCGW 13 points14 points ago

I was just wondering about the large, creepy baby.

[–]YUNOAWESOMELIKEME 6 points7 points ago

Did you hear the guy announcer? He actually said "I don't know wether that's supposed to be cute or creepy" haha

[–]KeCGW 5 points6 points ago

Ya, exactly after I said that it was creepy, the announcer said that!

[–]CatherineTheCookie 3 points4 points ago

OH GAWD, THAT BABY D'; creepy.

[–]hanmar28 -2 points-1 points ago

Did anyone else have nightmares of that baby?!

[–]bau5_man 8 points9 points ago

At first I was like Dafuq but then they formed the rings I was like I see what you did there.

I was also like holy fucking shit that must've cost a billion dollars.

[–]Irongate 3 points4 points ago

I think I heard that the ceremony was around £30m all in all actually. I'll try and backtrack to a source on that.

[–]Irongate 3 points4 points ago

Thanks for doing the legwork when I forgot to!

[–]Renegade67 10 points11 points ago

I thought it was amazing! I did think that there was a few sections that people without some kind of knowledge of UK history, music and culture as well wouldn't quite understand, but I thought it was a great way to show our country and history to the world.

[–]ALPB11 -1 points0 points ago

I love how all the British people are like 'We own Ireland! It is under our control!' and when something big happens, they're just like, LOL BITCHES, TIME FOR ENGLAND MOTHERFUCKAS. Make of your mind, Brits

[–]Renegade67 0 points1 point ago

I'm pretty sure that was racist. I'm British, and I don't think that's true at all. And the ceremony was a great representation of the whole of Britain, not just England.

[–]Naja42 12 points13 points ago

Am I the only person who liked the opening ceremony?

[–]thehalfbloodmormon -4 points-3 points ago

I'll give ya the lighting of the torch, that was fairly creative, and I'll admit the pyrotechnics were pretty bad ass, but the performance...

Do you find that the costume quality, story themes, monster designs, soundtrack, and choreography were satisfactory for the biggest international sporting event in the world? Keep in mind that coordinators had a great deal of money and five years to prepare.

[–]poon-is-food 6 points7 points ago

Yes, I do. I think it was better than the mindless perfectly in sync dancing of beijing. whoop-de-do you are strict and can get people to all be the same. We actually celebrated things we were proud of, most of all our eccentricities. It all being a little mad was the point.

[–]thehalfbloodmormon 1 point2 points ago

It did seem mad, just a huge hodgepodge of different things, like the planners couldn't agree on what they wanted to do. And can anyone tell me what "Hey Jude" has to do with competition?

[–]poon-is-food 0 points1 point ago

Nothing. At. All. /r/unitedkingdom was moaning about it no end. We're fed up of him being wheeled out at major events, mostly because hes a smug cunt who thinks he is gods gift to music. There are much better iconic british bands than the beetles, they were just one of the first of the modern era.

[–]mikerobbo -1 points0 points ago

classic british song from classic british band

[–]RageComicGoddess 0 points1 point ago

I think it was good! The part where they all were like now and the girl lost her phone was class

[–]thehalfbloodmormon 0 points1 point ago

Yeah I loved how he called her to tell her she left her phone and she answered with her phone 0_o

[–]twinkoltwinkolindsky -2 points-1 points ago

And Beijing's celebrate their best inventions and show it artistically.

[–]LickingLemons 4 points5 points ago

That's exactly what I thought!

[–]SteamboatJoe136 4 points5 points ago

Well, it mostly represents England passing through time. First, the farming era, then the industrial revolution, and finally the 50's to now, the digital age.

[–]Kronus021 1 point2 points ago

ah, not England the UK as most if not all the subjects affected the whole of the UK, e.g. the miners coming out of the tree, most coal came from WALES !

[–]SteamboatJoe136 1 point2 points ago

I ment the UK. Sorry!

[–]Kronus021 -1 points0 points ago

fuck yeah, UK world police

[–]SteamboatJoe136 1 point2 points ago

Whoop Whoop!!

[–]Deathblades 1 point2 points ago

WTF was the giant baby for???

[–]YUNOAWESOMELIKEME 1 point2 points ago

Well my gram being from Ireland and worked in London told me all about it.. So I actually knew what was going on. Haha

[–]thehalfbloodmormon 2 points3 points ago

It seemed rather chaotic. It really couldn't follow the Beijing ceremony

[–]poon-is-food 4 points5 points ago

Being able to make everyone do everything in time is great, but its not artistic, its just totalitarian. The ceremony was a great show, not just a great show of control and power.

[–]thehalfbloodmormon 2 points3 points ago

Fuck that, every time you see a band on a football field playing a song, marching in time, and making formations in the field to make meaningful images you don't think "Wow thats totalitarian"

[–]AntO_oESPO 0 points1 point ago

British Music everyone. Led Zepplin, The Rolling Stones, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, The Beatles... oh and urm Dizzee Rascal. sigh

[–]jazzyjjr99 0 points1 point ago

meh as a english man i understood it

[–]RageComicGoddess 0 points1 point ago

I remember saying to my mum (mom if not actually from Britain) What is the queen gonna jump out the helicopter? And my whole family laughed and said of course not how could they do anything like that and then BAM!!! She jumped out of the plane

[–]RageComicGoddess 0 points1 point ago

Helicopter, not plane

[–]extrasmall 0 points1 point ago

how i feel when im on reddit

[–]LaserLemonLolita 0 points1 point ago

I was just excited that there was a TARDIS noise included in the soundtrack.

[–]sim725 0 points1 point ago

You must be American

[–]Professor_Derpsalot 0 points1 point ago

Epic British engineering which kicked chinas ass

[–]Gusta457 0 points1 point ago

I always laugh at the thought that no one can really see what the people are doing from their seats and the the whole thing wouldn't really make since unless someone was commenting on it opwho knows about it

[–]swimdude2113 0 points1 point ago

The ceremony was fantastic. I understand that it wasn't the technological, stunning masterpiece that Beijing's opening ceremony was, but Danny Boyle understood that going into it. He knew that he wasn't going to be able to top the precision of the 2008 ceremony, and said that he felt liberated by that fact, that he would be able to do what he really wanted to do, and didn't have to worry about beating the Chinese. I found this one much more entertaining because of the rich British culture that was present throughout the ceremony. This is also probably due to the fact that I am far more immersed in the British culture than the Chinese, but I would think that most Americans would be as well. I think it was a masterpiece. The only thing missing was the Doctor :(

[–]ALPB11 0 points1 point ago

Us Irish people waving flags with some random people leading the line, a bunch of Chinese people already counting out how much medals they will win, and some British people getting rediculously excited

[–]Youresosexual 1 point2 points ago

Wtf, this is NOT a rage comic.

[–]EternalAssasin -1 points0 points ago

Welcome to f7u12, now with 30% less comedy!

[–]AtomicFox 0 points1 point ago

Something not even scientists can explain

[–]izocopter 1 point2 points ago

Not scientists, British people. I understood it. Disclaimer: I'm british

[–]julieb123 0 points1 point ago

Yeah... American here, I spent the evening in NW England watching it with a bunch of Brits. It seemed anyone younger than 25 was completely lost on what was happening, so we all needed it explained. Because what the fuck.

[–]Taity 4 points5 points ago

I'm 22 and understood it all, my fellow brits above have let us down :(

[–]julieb123 1 point2 points ago

Haha, well then. Maybe it's just because I am in the grim, grim North.

But come on, WTF was the giant baby?

[–]icorrectpettydetails 7 points8 points ago

Clearly that marks the time that Britain was attacked by a giant baby.

[–]kingskully 5 points6 points ago

I'm 15 and understood what was going on tbh. Did anyone hear the tardis sound?

[–]poon-is-food 3 points4 points ago

I'm surprised there wasnt more Doctor Who. There should have at least been daleks or cybermen somewhere.

[–]kingskully 1 point2 points ago

This is a bit far-fetched but the Red-Blue glasses could've been a reference to Doctor Who.

[–]poon-is-food 0 points1 point ago

I cant see them not referencing it a little, this may well have been it. I cant see that old 3D was british culture, the glasses being used ir Dr. Who certainly are.

[–]julieb123 -1 points0 points ago

No, there were lots of people talking so we missed a lot of the sound.

[–]JetSetWilly 3 points4 points ago

The organisers clearly didn't account for people being breathtakingly ignorant of the most basic facts of their own history. They should have dumbed it down why expect people to have any clue about the "industrial revolution" or "agriculture" after all? Should just have stuck adele and fireworks up there.

[–]julieb123 -3 points-2 points ago

Well, it's the Olympics. It doesn't have to be about your country's history, especially since this is also about the rest of the planet.

[–]Deathblades 0 points1 point ago

did anyone notice the numerals are XXX

[–]beertap 0 points1 point ago

My first thought is when will the parody porns commence?

[–]Deathblades 0 points1 point ago

Soon my friend,soon

[–]JohnBoraBora -1 points0 points ago

yeah you know you do something wrong when you show Mr. Bean in the Olympics with vids taken before

[–]chrishanator007 -2 points-1 points ago

The Olympics I thought that was last decade just let me look up from reddit ehh ugh err nope can't I'm stuck ...help
