Battle #29 - Vote Now | All Winners | Hall of Fame | 30k Battle!

OP posts a pic then submitters in the thread take OP's photo and modify it and resubmit. This goes back and forth until something amazing happens.

Weekly battles where one picture is uploaded/selected and people modify the picture and submit it. Entry with the highest upvotes ratio gets to pick the photo for next weeks battle.

This is definitely a great way to increase your skills and have a great time.

  1. Pic requests Please leave the self pic style "Please photoshop me" stuff to /r/picrequests. Mods will remove these posts. If you see a pic request please report it.

  2. Image content When submitting an image please make sure it:

    • Isn't too small. A [500x500] image barely gives room to work with.
    • Isn't low in quality. Example of a "low quality" image.
    • Isn't uploaded to Facebook. You may try re-hosting the image to another site.
    • Is labeled NSFW if necessary (use this tag generously).
  3. Titles
Your title must be descriptive. No more "this has potential" or "lets see what you guys can do". Some people browse reddit in compact mode(no thumbnails) so they need the titles to be descriptive not boring.

    • If the title sounds like a pic request it will be subject to removal.
    • If the title sounds cliched or unoriginal it will be subject to removal.
    • If the title is made as a question it will be subject to removal.
  4. Voting
Please vote by quality. Lazy shops shouldn't win just because they made you laugh. You can still vote funny stuff (we can't control you) but keep in mind that people spend lots of time making some really good submissions and deserve as much recognition as the next guy. Downvoting constructively is also recommended. We like to play nice here so please keep that in mind. If you believe something is inappropriate please report it.

I love every one of these but I think DDR might be my favorite.

Not what I had in mind but nice job nonetheless.

I'm glad you decided to give it a go! Not half bad either. Keep it up and it only gets better.

Much better than my first (few (quite a few)) cutouts were!

Thanks. I tried. I kinda failed at his feet though. Haha

Photos like this make me wish I didn't suck at photoshop

I did my first photoshop for this sub. It's a great place to practice and learn. The community is quite supportive. There's no harm in trying. DOOO IIIT!

Alright, I'll try :) Also, TIL making a cutout is hard and a lot of work :/

When you find something difficult, there's plenty of youtube vids that'll shed some light on it. In 20 or so minutes you can watch breif tutorials on quick selection, polygon lasso, pen tool, and refine edge. I think photoshop is more knowing what tool to use and how than actual application. It gets less complicated with use and much more fun as you learn.

Thanks for the info! I'll have to check them out for next time. Posted my effort in the thread somewhere.
