Not actually NSFW, but I wanted to avoid any possibility of spoiling the movie for anyone. If you haven't seen the movie, you won't get the joke, but all the same I'd like to be careful.

Ok, I thought of this exact scene and burst out laughing during the movie.

This is exactly what I thought of, too. I knew it would be on reddit.

The ending confused me. Not like in a "what is going on" sense, I was confused because they left it open to continue the series even though Christopher Nolan's batman is over. I'm sorry I know this has nothing to do with the gif but it's been biting at me since I saw the movie and I have nowhere else to talk about it.

There's too much money to be made off the franchise for there not to be another movie. Nolan won't be involved with it, but the studio will probably hand it off to another decent director.

I don't think it was a hint at a sequel so much as it is an extension of the idea of "The Dark Knight Rises." It seemed to me to be implying that, although Bruce Wayne has given up the Batman mantle, a Dark Knight will always be around to protect Gotham.
