When I was 20 and my next youngest sister was 18, my parents told us we were too old for them to take us on vacation and took our three younger siblings (14,12,10) to Disney World. We had to stay home and take care of the dogs.

They never took us on a single vacation when we were young.

yeah as soon as me and my sister became teenagers/adults, it's like all parental activity ceases. we're just not interesting enough anymore. then my mom has a new baby and her whole life revolves around the baby. it's like those people that get weeks old puppies and then dump them in the bush when they're 4 months old.

I love my younger siblings, but they're very spoiled now. My sister and I split when we were old enough, so now my parents treat the others like royalty. They pay for college, bought them cars, give them shopping money, etc. I was beaten, scolded, grounded, drug tested (always came out clean), and kicked out of the house in high school.

Seeing as I am an adult now though (and getting ready to have my own babies)- my parents and I mostly alright. Water under the bridge.
