Is that dude trying to remain unseen in a field of delicious blueberries?

[–]ummmbacon 149 points150 points ago

That is the new US Navy uniform, it is terrible.

[–]anonyone 58 points59 points ago

Is that what they replaced utilities with? Anything is better than that prison uniform...

[–]ummmbacon 42 points43 points ago

Yes it is, but they made it badly it is heavy and hot annoyingly.

[–]CVN72 62 points63 points ago

Current Navy, fresh out of the 100+ degree gulf. Can confim.

[–]ummmbacon 27 points28 points ago

Welcome back.

[–]CVN72 34 points35 points ago

Not back yet ;) I'm talking FRESH out of the gulf. But the sentiment is appreciated.

[–]coldcupofjoe 14 points15 points ago

Still haven't hit a shower yet? Do so asap, get the 'Fresh' scent out and a clean scent in.

Also, welcome home almost!

[–]tw0bears 3 points4 points ago

I'm going to assume you're on the Lincoln (CVN72)? I was on the Lincoln (Admirals Staff) from 2004-2008.

[–]CVN72 7 points8 points ago

Distinct possibility.

[–]thebestwishes 6 points7 points ago

I just came back from the Enterprise. I can confirm its hot as hell over there.

[–]superfahd 19 points20 points ago

did you seek out any interesting new life and new civilization?

[–]Jacksonnw2012 5 points6 points ago

And boldly went where no man had gone before?

[–]War_Machine 0 points1 point ago

former Big-E crew member here, what dept?

[–]KalEl2012 9 points10 points ago

Sounds exactly the same as the new British MTP uniform. There were no complaints with the old material either.

[–]AATroop 37 points38 points ago

If it ain't broke, break it.

[–]Cmdr_Twelve 4 points5 points ago

I believe there changing it back. If I remember right someone pointed it out that if someone falls over board at night they pretty much disappeared in the dark water. However i think the change is pretty far off thou.

[–]EthanPDX 14 points15 points ago

Nope, no plans to change it back. We are stuck with these stupid things due to a desire for all services to have the same sort of uniform, unfortunately we are not allowed to wear them in public except for short stops for food, gas, groceries ect. As far as falling overboard is concerned while at see we wear coveralls anyway. Not to mention the fact they are crazy expensive and we have to buy them ourselves.

TL,DR: Looks dumb, no one sees it, uncomfortable and not worn when doing actual work. Government at its best.

[–][deleted] ago

[deleted]

[–]EthanPDX 17 points18 points ago

You got me. Not worth an edit. I'll let it ride just to "sea" what happens.

Have an upboat for due diligence.

[–]waaaghbosss 2 points3 points ago

We still cant wear our work uniform in public? That's kinda nuts, I've seen the other 3 branches wear their cameo crap in public forever. Is this a base by base thing? Still stupid.

[–]Ranilen 1 point2 points ago

Nah, that changed. You can more or less do anything in it other than drink and fly now.

[–]ummmbacon 1 point2 points ago

I haven't heard anything about that, although I have heard quite a bit of rumor here and there. I don't know how the surface ships operate but we wear coveralls underway so bit different.

[–]Morningxafter 0 points1 point ago

3M

Navy guys will understand what it means (and some older air force guys).

[–]Gary_the_Goatfucker 3 points4 points ago

Makes me appreciate the fact that CADPAT hasn't changed in forever.

[–]jackattack502 1 point2 points ago

It hides stains/is more congruent with the MCCUU, despite being a digital BDU, rather than a new design altogether.

[–]ummmbacon 3 points4 points ago

Well yes but mostly to hide stains. I feel like a fool in it which isn't good for any uniform and the fabric is heavy. I wish we could just adopt a common one for all branches and save the cost of making each one an independent contract then just have a few different ones for specific situations.

[–]bentleycntlgt 8 points9 points ago

As a Marine, no thank you. I feel like the branches all have different personalities and reputations, and our uniform helps distinguish us.

[–]waaaghbosss 0 points1 point ago

As a Navy vet, I need to point out that we own you marines, so sit down and let the adults voice the opinions :)

[–]JustAnAvgJoe 2 points3 points ago

As an Army vet, aren't you just bus drivers?

(I kid, I kid)

[–]bekahbv 5 points6 points ago

As a former Navy wife (husband was honorably discharged in 2010), I must tell you that, you may feel like a fool, but you probably look damn sexy. I cannot count how many times, while living at Norfolk Naval Base, my friends BEGGED me to take them to the NEX to look at all the hot men in uniforms. Trust me, hun.

Though, I do admit. I miss the name tags on the asses. Just gave me an excuse for staring at them.

[–]ummmbacon 4 points5 points ago

Locals don't like us in the first place, in or out of uniform. As a side note; I spent 18 months in Portsmouth NNSY. Never want to go back haha. The back nametags are still there, under the blouse.

[–]bekahbv 1 point2 points ago

What?! Oh dear lord. I'm going to the NEX in Chicago, and then the Gurnee Mills Mall and then I'm hitting... shit, I can't think of a third place. Fuck it, I'll figure it out. You, sir, have just made this lady's day.

Sometimes, the locals can be a little... hostile. Don't worry, there are plenty of other people that think what you do is awesome, amazing and wonderful. I'm one of them. :)

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your time at Portsmouth. Not that I blame you. Most sailors I knew didn't like Norfolk Naval Shipyard. I hope you enjoy being at whichever station you are at. I know many of my friends are on ships in Norfolk, Mayport and San Diego, and enjoy being there. Then again, many of my friends are on deployment.

[–]clintissuperduper 1 point2 points ago

We still have the name tags on the asses.

[–]Xeonith 1 point2 points ago

That's what the OD Fatigue and Woodland BDU's were.

[–]aedinius 1 point2 points ago

Air Force is getting new light weight ABUs, hopefully they'll bring the fabric to the NBUs.

[–]JustAnAvgJoe 0 points1 point ago

It's the same as Army ACUs I take it? Be happy you can roll your sleeves up.

[–]astralvortex 1 point2 points ago

I loved the prison uniform. Who hasn't ever wanted to own a pair of bell-bottoms with 4 back pockets? So comfy when washed a million times.

[–]Stole_My_Banana 4 points5 points ago

To make sure that if you fall in the water the enemy won't be able to find you.

[–]ummmbacon 2 points3 points ago

If i'm near the water it is on subs so not applicable; hopefully they won't find us in the first place.

[–]Stole_My_Banana 0 points1 point ago

ahh yes, another graduate of rotten groton, how long has it been?

[–]ummmbacon 1 point2 points ago

'03-'04 where does the time go...

Grotopotamai lurks in bars and feeds on sailors.

[–]Wr3nch 3 points4 points ago

Digi-Smurf!

[–]I_heart_kittens1976 4 points5 points ago

I never understood that. If I'm on a ship, I don't want to blend into the ocean. If I fall overboard, I want to be wearing bright yellow with little disco balls attached.

[–]dudeabides86 2 points3 points ago

Actually, it ten times more comfortable than the utilities were. You no longer have to iron a mechanics uniform that never fit correctly. And, the green cami ones look tits. Yes the color scheme sucks, but as someone who wore both, I liked these ten times better.

[–]waaaghbosss 1 point2 points ago

Didnt these replace the coveralls? Nothing, and I mean nothing, is as comfy as an old pair of coveralls :D

[–]ummmbacon 0 points1 point ago

I know I'm the minority but I didn't mind the old utilities. These don't fit well and can't be tailored. I usually can fit clothes off the rack but to get the right length I feel like I am swimming in these.

[–]lookieausername 2 points3 points ago

It's aquatic camouflage!

[–]xblackdog 1 point2 points ago

For aquatic activities!

[–]jestr6 1 point2 points ago

Aquaflage!

[–]TheThingToSay 2 points3 points ago

Those hideous things were being tested while I was still in. I think they are ridiculous...hey, lets have people wear blue camouflage onboard a ship so that when they fall overboard it will be ensured they won't be found.

[–]jodobrowo 1 point2 points ago

Like coveralls are any different? We wear coveralls underway. At least these have white and grey as opposed to just blue.

[–]zalixaz 1 point2 points ago

the navy or the uniform ?

[–]Fishstixxx16 1 point2 points ago

I got out the day before my ship (CVN-71) switched over from utilities. July 2009.

[–]RockyRococo 1 point2 points ago

It looks like something Guile would wear.

[–]Archae23 1 point2 points ago

I agree with you on that, I got out right before they were implemented. I miss my Johnny Cash's and Dungarees.

[–]YaBoyDake 1 point2 points ago

I loved the NWUs for the couple years I had them before I got out. If you're with a command that doesn't let you chuck the blouse when working though, I can see why they would be horrid.

[–]Mileskitsune 0 points1 point ago

why would you need camo on a boat anyway?

[–]SupermanV2 6 points7 points ago

It used to be brown but he put it in the wash with the blues.

[–]buck7131 0 points1 point ago

Congratulations you've reached the end of this comment thread!

[–]nykzero 1 point2 points ago

Apparently, the point of the new Navy uniform is not to camouflage the wearer, but to camouflage stains caused by working on a ship.

[–]TheAtomicPlayboy 5 points6 points ago

He's trying to blend in with the whales.

[–]bastardman 0 points1 point ago

What are you talking about?

[–]Jaybonaut 144 points145 points ago

I hate to say it, but knowing an issue I have to deal with, she may have severe foot or joint pain.

[–]itmakesnosenseanymor 54 points55 points ago

I once had a herniated disk (L5-S1 spot) that would make it impossible for me to stand more than 30 secs without pain, and it only got worse if I stayed up. I was young (late 20's) and thin (about 120 lbs at 5'4").

Then again, I would not have gone standing in line for any reason at that time.

[–]KaptainKrunch 12 points13 points ago

OP might be right in that she may have a medical condition.

The woman standing behind the seated lady is wearing a medical uniform commonplace in doctors offices and hospitals.

[–]curlycatsockthing 0 points1 point ago

That's a hospital. I've been.

[–]bacon_pants 15 points16 points ago

Not everyone recovers quickly. Some people ache for years, and sometimes it comes and goes, sharp and dull. I know some people have no shame, but I think few people would call attention to themselves in a line that short out of sheer laziness. I may be wrong.

[–]ideadude 2 points3 points ago

Same here. I could get relief by bending over as if to tie my shoe. I must have pretended to tie my shoe like 20 times a day. :)

[–]I_like_boxes 6 points7 points ago

Injuries can also be hard to spot. I almost broke my foot a few years ago (or maybe fractured it, never bothered to get it looked at). The limp went away before it fully healed. Standing, on the other hand, put a lot of weight on the part that took the most damage. I sat down if I stopped moving for several weeks, even if that meant on the floor and in the way others. That whole time, I probably looked like a lazy teenager even though I got injured while working out.

[–]growlingbear 0 points1 point ago

If you stop moving for several weeks, you might wanna have that looked at.

[–]GreenSpleen6 4 points5 points ago

That sounds like the kinda thing that would make you rather go through the drive through.

[–]juanzy 3 points4 points ago

I was hoping someone would say this. A few weeks ago, I severely sprained my ankle and partially tore a ligament. So whenever I went anywhere I had to sit down as quickly as possible but my brace was not noticeable because I always wore jeans. Anytime my girlfriend was with me, she insisted on carrying my bag and she made sure to go with me to get groceries and carry them for me. Got so many looks for it; bottom line, don't judge if you don't know the whole story.

[–]revolvingdoor 3 points4 points ago

Yep, young healthy looking guy here who can't stand for more than a couple of minutes before collapsing due to an autoimmune disease. People give me dirty looks when I don't offer my seat up on the bus. Fuck the judgers.

[–]Jaybonaut 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, I have open sores in my toes that never heal and have had them for over 16 years, which wreaks havoc on my immune system - I can't stand for very long and it has caused me to become overweight due to the natural lack of excercise this problem has directly caused. I know exactly what you are saying.

[–]Iamthesmartest 18 points19 points ago

Ya, my Aunty had that too...from being too damn fat.

[–]ThatSpuds 1 point2 points ago

Thanks, Jay-- surprisingly I came in here and the top comment was NOT fat haters. so that's good.

I'm 5'1" - I used to be slender and athletic. When I was 21, I started having problems with severe gout. I ended up in a wheelchair. Doctors couldn't do anything about it. Standing for almost any length of time was a terrible, painful experience. I would go places and literally just fall to my knees if I had to stand at all.

I was on opiates, opiates, opiates for the pain, but it didn't fix the problem. Off the topic slightly, but I detox'd from the opiates and switched to weed, the swelling went away and I've dropped 100 pounds so far-- I can walk, run, stand, sit, swim and play like I did when I was 21.

It's like having a new life... but my point is.. you can never assume what's going on from a photo... and you, my friend, are the real prize of this thread just for being considerate.

[–]Loluka 2 points3 points ago

It could very well be what you said. This is actually a food court in a Military Hospital (Landstuhl, Germany to be exact).

[–]still_me 1 point2 points ago

I used to take Dramamine on long car trips and it would make me really drowsy. I remember waiting in the booth at a Burger King while my Dad got food for me.

[–]poteaser 0 points1 point ago

But wouldn't it be easier to just stay in the car and use the drive-thru then? (assuming she didn't walk there because of an injury of course)

[–]StarBarbershop 29 points30 points ago

I have literally seen this at varying points in the last 8 years.

[–]beauterham 31 points32 points ago

Yet no one in this thread has posted this version of it.

[–]Lunapsyche 15 points16 points ago

3-4, the Navy blue digitals have only been out that long.

[–]Yeti_Poet 0 points1 point ago

You haven't figuratively seen this?

So the legitimacy of a repost is based on how many people saw it? WRONG

[–]ihavnoideawatimdoing 16 points17 points ago

Hate to point out the obvious, but everything posted on this site is by definition a repost. It was taken from a different source and reposted on this site....

[–]jlennon4422 5 points6 points ago

Except tho occasional OC

[–]NosferatuHeftyDance 1 point2 points ago

True dat. It's a shame my OC is so shit.

[–]TurboNoobie1994 6 points7 points ago

For fuck sakes it's new to some people just because of some people have seen it already doesn't mean everyone should lose their shit 80% of posts on reddit are reposted from somewhere.

[–]NHGuy 0 points1 point ago

Irony, it's a funny thing...

[–]Squishumz 0 points1 point ago

This submission has more than 3 times the karma of every other submission combined, so clearly most people haven't seen it. The last time this picture even got any remote amount of exposure was 6 months ago. You're just being an idiot.

[–]cptkirbstomp 15 points16 points ago

haha i get it. it's because he's in the navy

[–]CaptainMcAwesomeless 3 points4 points ago

That place looks like the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. There are wounded soldiers from all over the world outside the US. And my godson was born there.

And you are a attention whore...downvote from me!

[–]ktthodge 4 points5 points ago

I wonder if this is the Burger King/Subway/Anthony's Pizza in the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center ...

[–]spire27 1 point2 points ago

Yes it is. I had to go to physical therapy at LRMC for three months and ate launch at the subway in that food court way to many times.

[–]dtriplemc 6 points7 points ago

This Burger King is in Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. I've eaten there dozens of times.

[–]ktthodge 4 points5 points ago

I was thinking the exact same thing.

[–]phyrewall 2 points3 points ago

Hello from the KMC!

[–]spire27 2 points3 points ago

Upvotes for all of my fellow KMC dwellers.

[–]01110101Qu 2 points3 points ago

Holy crap. I lived there from ages 8-12. I ate at that food court so many times. Burger King, Anthonys Pizza, and a Subway. wow.

[–]Loluka 0 points1 point ago

I'm not sure how old you are now, or how many years ago you last were there, but it hasn't changed at all! :)

[–]IvyGold 17 points18 points ago

In defense of her, she's certainly overweight but apparently too young to be so immobilzed.

I bet she's pregnant.

In which case, I have no issues.

[–]AmantisAsoko 22 points23 points ago

Or she was disabled in a non age related way. My mom has to sit like that often, she has total paraparesis from a botched spinal surgery and because of her reduced mobility she's about that heavy. So basically fuck everyone in this thread.

[–]jennyhu 4 points5 points ago

Thank you.

[–]jennyhu 10 points11 points ago

No one is too young to be so immobilized. I have to sit like this and I'm 26. I go in for surgery TODAY which will allow me to stand without a cane and crutches.

[–]professorhazard 4 points5 points ago

Good luck!

[–]ThatSpuds 2 points3 points ago

How young is "too young" to be immobilized.

I was immobilized at 21 with gout. Was in a wheelchair. I'm 40 now... and it took MOST of that 19 years to get to where I am now, back out of the chair and in the world again.

[–]IvyGold 0 points1 point ago

Well that's my point -- this young woman is not your average "people of Wal-Mart" type.

Gout? Ouch. Congrats on becoming mobilized! I hope the future is looking bright for you!

You should consider an AMA.

[–]asdfman123 17 points18 points ago

I prefer fat to judgmental any day.

[–]Tier4 2 points3 points ago

This picture is so old it had to be scanned from a polaroid

[–]Lunapsyche 2 points3 points ago

Not that old, about 3 years. Navy's blue digis haven't been around that long.

[–]Thats_Puffin_Talk 56 points57 points ago

Hey look, an overweight woman sitting on a chair while she waits in line at burger king. There's no context, let's talk shit about her! There's nothing funny about this.

Oh, yeah. A lot of military hospitals have burger kings on premises.

I hope you all get fat and get mocked on the internet. And remember, stay classy reddit.

[–]Tanory07 3 points4 points ago

So you saw the post about the guy with small calves aswell?

[–]MisterWonka 23 points24 points ago

But...but...she's fat! Isn't that the only group of people that reddit is still okay with making fun of? You know...except for women.

[–]Thats_Puffin_Talk 9 points10 points ago

What if I told you she likes Dr. Who and is an Atheist?

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points ago

And black people. And every other group of people, except white heterosexual males.

[–]GundamWang 1 point2 points ago

Not that I go around insulting people in general, but most people can actually prevent themselves from getting fat. Usually, by not overeating and exercising a bit. And please don't use that glandular excuse. Not every fat person has glandular problems.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points ago

Mighty fine white-knighting, there. Mighty fine.

[–][deleted] 18 points19 points ago

This isn't white-knighting. White-knighting is defending attention whoring girls and giving them all that attention they crave and post to attain. See: Tits or GTFO theory.

This is just about having enough tact that we know fuck all about the girl in this photo, she could be ill, yet Reddit eats up the chance to make fun of a fat person because the majority are evil little fuckwads.

[–]HelpfulToAll 5 points6 points ago

If it's one thing I've learned on Reddit, it's that anyone who uses the term "white knight" as an insult is a raging asshole.

[–]chagoi 6 points7 points ago

I know right? She's still standing in the back of the line. I thought this shit would be over in 2012!

[–]Derpybro 3 points4 points ago

I mean seriously, since when can blacks serve in the military? shit!

[–]nettles121 1 point2 points ago

at least it's not the nurse/tech.

[–]catsconcert 1 point2 points ago

But there's still a lot lower that we can go.

[–]pickoneforme 1 point2 points ago

there is nothing new about this.

[–]dawarrior_vex 1 point2 points ago

Aquaflage

[–]kurt_hectic 1 point2 points ago

To be fair, BK has notoriously slow service, even for fast food.

[–]aequitas3 1 point2 points ago

I'm thankful that we aren't reaching new lows anymore. This new low has been around a while

[–]Daishisan 1 point2 points ago

What's the problem with doing this? Maybe she was just tired or something. It's not like she's really inconveniencing anyone.

[–]MamaCallsMePrecious 1 point2 points ago

Not trying to be a jerk but this pic is two years old. It made the rounds online back then. And people photoshopped her into random history pictures.

http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/sitting-in-line-for-burger-king

[–]whereisoregon 2 points3 points ago

Is this th BK at the military hospital in landstuhl? Near kaiserslaughtern?

[–]ktthodge 1 point2 points ago

Kaiserslautern*

And yes it is.

[–]dcgi 1 point2 points ago

If you mean reaching a new low by reposting old content, don't worry, it happens all the time. For karma.

[–]Fudgefactor7 1 point2 points ago

I saw a girl do the same thing on Sunday at the Wal-Mart in Coralville, IA at the Subway.

I wanted to kick the chair out from under her.

[–]RealLifeTim 1 point2 points ago

Yes reposting shit you found on the internet from 2002 is a new fucking karma whoring low.

[–]Gommers 5 points6 points ago

"Meanwhile in America" repost is old.

[–]Big-Baby-Jesus 4 points5 points ago

And in Germany.

[–]StickyBunz1 3 points4 points ago

[–]jennyhu 6 points7 points ago

I am going to get downvoted to hell or ignored here, but I said the same thing about this when I saw this on my facebook.

This is the biggest load of shit I've ever seen. I am a fit active young woman, who recently lost the use of her legs, so I gained a bit of weight, and I sit everywhere. I have platinum blonde hair and do not look injured. If I have a chair out in the middle of a line, and trust me, I do, and sometimes I don't bring my cane around with me, this photo could be captioned about me. Who are you to say she does not share the same issues? What kind of health or lackthereof?

Do you know how embarassing and annoying it is for a woman to carry around a cane or crutches. Maybe I'm the opposite of attention whore but I hate it. So instead I sit in chairs in line. I am about to have surgery in 5 hours, no joke, so I can walk and stand again. Who the hell is to say this chick isn't too?

[–]TheGreatL 3 points4 points ago

I was on a train a couple years ago from Jefferson City, MO en route home from college to Chicago. Fortunately for me, my fake ID allowed me to purchase the $6 dollar beers in the dining cabin. (I thought I was so cool) Anyway I will never forget a man, relatively young and slender, who was in line slide down the wall of the train and sit on the floor waiting for his turn right in front of me. I didn't really know what to do and shortly after some of the train workers advised him to stand up from which he explained he had severe diabetes and was on his way to Chicago to do a preliminary examination to have his left leg removed and standing for prolonged times was incredibly difficult and uncomfortable. If this is just laziness, then I am disgusted but there could always be alternative explanations

tl;dr She could have diabetes or something making it difficult to stand I hope

[–]theseekerofbacon 1 point2 points ago

I tend to work 9-14 hours a day.

On my long days, I would do this without a second thought.

[–]spectacular 1 point2 points ago

I am so tired of this repost. The woman could have any number of medical conditions to make her need to sit down while in line. Who the fuck cares anyway?

[–]doctor_why 0 points1 point ago

I agree, blue camo is soooo last season.

[–]aerothan 0 points1 point ago

Lines at... Burger King?!? What has this world come to?

[–]KambioN 0 points1 point ago

...which city was this taken in?

[–]CaptainMcAwesomeless 4 points5 points ago

To me it looks like the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany...as I posted:

http://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/x42a8/aaaaaaaaand_weve_reached_a_new_low/c5j2o5c

[–]ktthodge 2 points3 points ago

I'm pretty sure it is

[–]dudeabides86 0 points1 point ago

Please tell me this was SD...

[–]No_Warhawkz 1 point2 points ago

Actually, Germany

[–]lurveloaveluff 0 points1 point ago

I used to work at Old Navy and one year during Black Friday (Friday after Thanksgiving, biggest shopping day of the year) the line was massive and snaked around he entire store. It was easily an hour and a half line, with all cash registered manned. Some lady asked me if I had a chair she could sit on in line because she had just had a tummy tuck and wasn't supposed to stand for too long. Then why the fuck are you shopping at the busiest shopping day of the year where you will be guaranteed 2 hour lines?!

[–]Paulus81 0 points1 point ago

I could sweat that I've been there. I wanna say Ft. Leonardwood.

EDIT: I was wrong, Landstuhl GER.

[–]turnipseed 0 points1 point ago

Is that nurse Laverne behind him?

[–]OllieWillie 0 points1 point ago

I'm assuming this title of this post referes you you posting this on reddit for the 100,000th time?

[–]mendy929 0 points1 point ago

haha i get it. it's because he's in the navy.

[–]MisterMonacle 0 points1 point ago

But standing is sooo hard!

[–]Ilostmytoe 0 points1 point ago

I thought we were talking about the large woman sitting on a chair in line. Hmmph, what do I know?

[–]boobatron 0 points1 point ago

Winston Churchil once said something along the lines of "why stand when you can sit." i think..

[–]bowtiesrock 0 points1 point ago

So one pretty skinny guy, one muscular Navy guy, and one avg woman in the picture and we're only supposed to be judging it based on the chick sitting down? Yep, definitely reached a new low.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

we

mmmkay

[–]ElShaggers 0 points1 point ago

She'd better be disabled in some way.....

[–]derpfman 0 points1 point ago

This is a new low, a line at Burger King?

[–]SaltFrog 0 points1 point ago

That's disgusting if it's for no reason... and my first thought was "She's not even fat enough to warrant that sort of behavior." She probably has an issue that actually warrants her sitting down like that, though.

[–]always_useful 0 points1 point ago

This is my cousin Briana. She was wounded in Iraq a few years ago and after over 15 surgeries finally gained the ability to walk again. This picture was taken about a year ago, just a few months after recovery. Just thought you guys should know who you're mocking.

[–]BowtothePrince 0 points1 point ago

just..just give up

Navy Fitness! BK Casual...

[–]pizzadelivaryguy 0 points1 point ago

HAVE IT YOUR WAY!

[–]toolatealreadyfapped 0 points1 point ago

There's a nurse behind her. Possibly a restaurant in a hospital. How do we know what she's going through that makes it difficult to stand?

[–]mofontes 0 points1 point ago

I saw this at a Best Buy once. I was waiting in line to speak with a Geek Squad rep and this really overweight lady who reeked of body odor was in front of me sitting in a chair. The line in front of her moved forward, while the line behind her moved backwards while she just sat there until it was her turn.

[–]yourmacmandan 0 points1 point ago

Heaven666 did a photo contest on this a while back... WARNING: NSFW

[–]MadroxKran 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, people in the military should take better care of themselves. Doesn't help when they put fast food chains inside the base.

[–]iseetrolledpeople 0 points1 point ago

We reached this low back in 945 B.C. when this photo first hit the net.

[–]StarHat 0 points1 point ago

It's just an excuse to check out that guys ass.

[–]killahghost 0 points1 point ago

This picture was taken at Landsthul Regional Medical Center in Germany. This is a military spouse.
This picture is upsetting because the food she is about to eat is what's going to keep her in that chair,

[–]rontourage 0 points1 point ago

I'll say, this must be the billionth time that image has been posted in the last five years. New low indeed.

[–]kingtanner6 0 points1 point ago

My mother has a bad back, and she has to sit after standing for so long due to her surgery. Probably not the problem here, But it isn't our place to point a laugh. Nobody's perfect.

[–]girlyusername 0 points1 point ago

It is possible that, because there is a nurse behind her, she may be mentally disabled? There are a myriad of possible reasons. Or she could just be fat and lazy. We don't know.

[–]healeycoxmcmahon 0 points1 point ago

Eating at BK is pretty low...

[–]DersHolmvik 0 points1 point ago

This looks awfully familiar to the pic of a woman sitting over a treadmill. Photoshopped?

[–]magicmurph 0 points1 point ago

I recall when we first saw this picture on 4chan oh, about 4 years ago. A large photoshop thread ensued wherein we put sittin girl in a whole ton of humorous "I sit where I want" locations, like protests and courtrooms and on the back of a train and stuff. It was very similar to the original bubble girl thread

[–]mal9000 0 points1 point ago

Those running shoes are really going to waste...

[–]webchimp32 0 points1 point ago

Yep, re-re-reposting is quite low.

[–]kolm 0 points1 point ago

Maybe she had hip surgery and can't stand for more than 5 minutes?

[–]Cielo11 0 points1 point ago

Maybe she needs to poop, and it hurts to stand up.

[–]Aregisteredusername 1 point2 points ago

Aaaaaaannnddddd reddit has come full circle since I started

[–]Exoseifer 0 points1 point ago

At least the man in the Navy kind of balances things out in this picture...

[–]Lots42 0 points1 point ago

Mocking a fat person on Reddit.

This is going to end well.

To Reddit Newbies: Fat people are considered Gods by the Reddit Hive Mind.

[–]fuck_usernames23 0 points1 point ago

Hold the fucking phone. I know exactly where that is. It's the Landstuhl hospital in Germany. The lady in scrubs, the military uniform, and the door leading to the hallway gave it away. I've been there before, after slicing my hand open. And after cracking a few ribs. Fuck that place.

[–]Gibb0nat0r 0 points1 point ago

Eww Nike shocks

[–]masonv 0 points1 point ago

@Ummmbacon go look up Navy dungarees(the old uniform).

Trust me we like the new uniform, and by the way they're called NWU's

[–]irrelevantstoryguy 0 points1 point ago

I'm proud to be an american where at least I know I'm free to sit in chairs while I'm in line waiting at burger king

[–]curlycatsockthing 0 points1 point ago

Woah. I was just at that BK a few days ago. Small world.
