When I found out that my ??? chest run didn't register (i.imgur.com)

Worse when you've been playing on your Mac partition to pass the time and you find out that none of your achievements register, but the save carries over to windows, probably making it impossible to get them...

i have the same problem with lots of things my chest runs and every secret i found after golden god they dont register in game i still got the steam achievments though

Did you know that sometimes game registers achievements after you quit the game and start it again?

This is true. I've been playing for about a week, didn't see a single achievement until I started the game up yesterday and got swamped with them.

I feel you man.

Tried a chest run with Samson a couple of days ago (whom I hate with fierce passion and believe to be an absolutely terrible character so far, but that might be lack of luck on my side). I use an Empress card, die to blue baby nevertheless, Ankh kicks in, I revive as ??? with some spirit hearts, SOMEHOW manage to beat blue baby because of some damage upgrade I forgot and picked up on the way back.

And then I unlock as my reward... EVE'S BIRD FOOT.

SERIOUSLY.

WHY ARE YOU TROLLING ME VIDEOGAMES.

That's normal. Achievements and some of the item unlocks are swapped around. Don't panic. If you beat the game with all the characters, you will unlock the other items you need without having to replay it with any character. I got Eve's Bird Foot for beating it with ???, and the Blue Baby for beating it with Eve.

I didn't mean the Steam achievement, but the in-game one. I kinda figured out Steam did the wacky when I got ???'s soul after a successful Cain run (weird part is Steam actually told me I got the Samson's Lock achievement in the run where the game got it wrong ._.).

Oh well. I'm halfway through, I'll get to it eventually.

Yes, I'm talking about the in-game one. Both items and achievements are swapped around in some (not all) cases. The exact same thing happened to me, with the same characters and the same items (right down to Samson's Lock achievement for beating it with Cain). Like I said, as long as you unlock something for each character, you'll get everything if you beat it with each one separately. The items and achievements are just not necessarily associated with the right characters.

You beat it with ???, so you unlocked Eve's Bird Foot in-game. That's a "normal" bug and nothing to worry about. You will have to play through with Samson though without reviving with the ankh to get his item.

I dont get it though. Blue Baby gets way more badass in the chest, cause every hit triggers the Polaroid to shield you. I had way more difficulty as Samson or Eve.

You can just get a regular character with the Ankh, die, then change to ??? mode just before fighting him. It will still count as playing as ???. That's how I unlocked the Rainbow Baby.
