[–]iloveuconditionally 54 points55 points ago

It's been 4 hrs and we still don't know where the teeth are?

[–]Fudgalicious 45 points46 points ago

Something's...fishy...

[–][deleted] 22 points23 points ago

...

[–]mildly_inappropriate 20 points21 points ago

Why is this happening to me?

[–]GabeGW1 10 points11 points ago

GEE THANKS, THIS IS DEF NOT GOING TO SHOW UP IN MY NIGHTMARES

[–]UnwillingGoddess 2 points3 points ago

I had actually just woke up from a horrific nightmare, came onto /aww as a pallet cleanser, and had a similar reaction to you...

[–]throw_a_weigh11 1 point2 points ago

Guys...

[–]onedarkhorsee 6 points7 points ago

It may not be OP's dog, so it may remain a mystery, i'm certainly curious though - looks like a pretty big dog to have lost it teeth naturally

[–]facemelt 8 points9 points ago

OP is just a karmabot incapable of fielding questions.

[–]moukou9 1 point2 points ago

OP has still not delivered.

[–]deluxfux 6 points7 points ago

Only thing I can think of is that it lost all its baby teeth. But it looks like that dog might be a bit large for that to have just happened.

[–]Anus_Blender 1 point2 points ago

Maybe he's a big breed.

[–]deluxfux 0 points1 point ago

Good inference, Anus_Blender!

[–]EstellaHavisham3 2 points3 points ago

Cereal. What happened to his teeth?

[–]Kellianne 3 points4 points ago

This is strictly a guess but when I saw it I thought maybe he/she had been a bait dog for dog fighting. (shakes head to remove image)

[–]megloface 2 points3 points ago

:(

[–]MrsFisher 0 points1 point ago

Sadly, I thought the same thing :(

[–]KitchitiKipi 12 points13 points ago

purely speculation but sometimes dogs/cats get some sort of gum disease, and rather than letting them wallow in pain until all their teeth fall out, owners get them all removed, because i guess prevention of this gum disease causes much more pain on the animal then just taking them out does

[–]Kellianne 6 points7 points ago

true and gum disease can cause other systemic problems just like in humans ie: heart disease. Also cats and dogs will stop eating if it casues them pain.

[–]Stembio 4 points5 points ago

That was my first thought too. My rescue pup only has his canines because the rest were taken out due to rot. He looks like atiny fluffy vampire!

[–]F1ddlesticks 4 points5 points ago

Heh, he only has his canines

[–]Nimara 1 point2 points ago

Not only that, if any of the teeth become infected for too long, the infection can go into the jaw and t hen you have to remove part of the jawbone.

It could have been a rescue case where the dog was formally in bad health and had to have its teeth removed to prevent any further damage. Don't worry though, dogs will learn to eat around their disability. Hell, some of the bad cases have eaten with an infected mouth for years. Poor things.

[–]constnt 11 points12 points ago

Puppies lose their teeth like people do. This is a puppy so probably lost them naturally.

[–]Arya511 4 points5 points ago

Puppies tend to lose their teeth in a pattern, just like humans, starting with the incisors, premolars (puppies dont have molars until their adult teeth come in), and finally their canines. Depending on the adult size of the dogs, this process starts around 3-4 months and can last until a year or so old. It wouldnt make biological sense to naturally lose them all at once because then they couldnt eat or defend themselves but Im sure there are always exceptions to the rule.

[–]gwiff 5 points6 points ago

I've known owners who have had their dogs' teeth removed after biting people as an alternative to euthanasia.

[–]Bindher_Dundat 11 points12 points ago

Insert joke re: canines....

[–]gemini86 18 points19 points ago

Allan, please add joke.

[–]Chren 2 points3 points ago

If they're anything like my dog then they wore their teeth down from constantly gnawing on everything.

[–]Ryugi 1 point2 points ago

A lot of times, the jawline of certain breeds can hide their teeth. Though it does look odd.

[–]railroadwino 1 point2 points ago

At least he seems to give less fucks than teeth.

[–]R3laX 4 points5 points ago

Hmmm... I wonder if lack of teeth affects barking?

[–]ShakinBacon 23 points24 points ago

His bark would be worse than his bite.

[–]palpablescalpel 3 points4 points ago

It doesn't.

[–]worker_parasite 1 point2 points ago

Looks sorta like a great Dane puppy. He could be in the process of cutting his adult teeth.

[–]HiaItsPeter 4 points5 points ago

Pitbull bro.

[–]firefly_bzzzz 100 points101 points ago

when I glanced at the thumbnail I coulda swore that was a baby velociraptor.

[–]mezdrez 13 points14 points ago

I was thinking Loch Ness Monster. With bubbles.

[–]not_quite_creative 7 points8 points ago

That's what I was thinking or Yoshi from the Super Mario movie.

[–]pink_orange 4 points5 points ago

Which for some reason lacks teeth.

[–]vellyr 2 points3 points ago

I actually saw a pretty doll wearing an apron.

[–]cnxyz 1 point2 points ago

I still thought it was a dinosaur after I viewed it at full size, until I realized that it was actually a dog...

[–]TwEE-N-Toast 43 points44 points ago

Is that some sort of happy tub goblin? Dogs can look so undog like sometimes.

[–]cuzshesmyruca 23 points24 points ago

My dog doesnt HATE baths, but he doesnt enjoy them. The best part is when you open the bathroom door and they go into super crazy geeked up mode. A clean dog is a happy dog!

[–]MrPractical1 21 points22 points ago

Dude, there is a baby raptor in your tub. RUN!

[–]DickBaggins 18 points19 points ago

Is there also a person in that bath?

[–]bluthru 25 points26 points ago

I think that might be the secret to giving a pet a bath.

"If you're in there, how bad could it be?" -Dog

[–]jooze 7 points8 points ago

Bestiality for 200, Alex.

[–]Damaband41 3 points4 points ago

"I'll follow you to the ends of the earth, human. Even into the bath tub, if I must."

[–]AiKantSpel 40 points41 points ago

[–]Just_Smurfin_Around 5 points6 points ago

haven't lol'ed that hard all night

[–]Demeter003 4 points5 points ago

That was terrifying...

[–]FartNoisesWitMyMouth 17 points18 points ago

Finally a Pitbull makes it to the top of r/aww

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

I have pictures of mine when it was weeks old. I have a feeling it could do it.

[–]Unkind81 14 points15 points ago

That's one happy Pit puppy. Looks like a blue nose and those dogs really know how to live in a moment. Give him/her plenty of training and socialize as much as you can and you will never ever want another breed.

[–]DatBanana1 104 points105 points ago

ERMAHGERD!! BURBLES!!

[–]RB94 53 points54 points ago

ERM TERKIN A BERF!!!!

[–]jooze 3 points4 points ago

Gross, it's everywhere. Thanks for the warning I guess.

[–]White_Luigi 3 points4 points ago

COME ON, GUYS. It's funny, because RB94 was altering the word "bath," but jooze jokingly misconstrued it as "barf!" CLASSIC!

[–]jooze 4 points5 points ago

Ouch bro, ouch.

[–]White_Luigi 3 points4 points ago

I actually really did think it was funny. And going over people's heads.

[–]jooze 1 point2 points ago

Perhaps it was just a bad joke though. Definitely a possibility with me. Thanks, though, I would've responded the same way... Hope that's a compliment.

[–]White_Luigi 0 points1 point ago

Complimentary enough for me.

[–]VanMulk 37 points38 points ago

[–]warm_slurm 9 points10 points ago

My dog almost has a heart attack every single time we try to bath him. He shakes, freaks out and looks up at us with those eyes like we're torturing him.

Stopped doing it 'cause he's so old now, though. Mostly.

[–]jmh4ua 10 points11 points ago

HOW?! How do you make this happen? I must know... My 6 month old Siberian Husky resents bath time

[–]dvo_j 17 points18 points ago

my dog acts like its lava

[–]Kellianne 4 points5 points ago

My Doberman seems to think he'll shrink to a mini pinscher.

[–]jooze 4 points5 points ago

How cold do you run the bath?

[–]Kellianne 4 points5 points ago

Kind of tepid warm.

[–]jooze 1 point2 points ago

:) Was trying to make a shrinkage joke.

[–]Kellianne 0 points1 point ago

I thought so but I didn't want to say so, lest I be wrong. :)

[–]beermonger 9 points10 points ago

Do you use bubbles? Clearly, it's the bubbles...

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points ago

You really don't know? No one told you?

Johnson's Baby Shampoo. Tell your dog no biggie.

[–]SnuggieMcGee 1 point2 points ago

Perhaps the owner is in the tub too. If you look to the left and right of the picture, you see strange flesh-colored objects that appear to belong to a naked human.

Maybe it tricks the dog into thinking "oh, if it's safe for him/her, it must be cool."?

But this is pure speculation.

[–]raitai 0 points1 point ago

You make it less horribly scary, the same way you desensitize them to anything else, and with huskies, you must, because they are too smart to just force to do things.

[–]jmh4ua 0 points1 point ago

I resent this breeds lack of fucks to give. Potty training has been a nightmare, but its slowly making progress

[–]Xethos 8 points9 points ago

I can not keep my Pit out of the tub. If the bathroom door is left open she will jump right in the tub and expect you to turn the water on.

[–]ideserveagoldstar 6 points7 points ago

My pit is the same way, every time we give our daughter a bath she comes in thinking the bath is for her.

[–]redzero519 2 points3 points ago

Weird story incoming.

My old roommate had a pit, sweetest thing ever, and terrified of everything. I mean this dog would bump the coffee table, causing a cup to rattle, and it would get scared.

But the dog hated baths. Absolutely hated them. My roommate had to put him in the standing shower to wash him, couldn't get him in the tub.

Fastforward to a day when I get home early and the wind in just howling, almost pulling bits of siding off. I walk in and quickly realize the dog has not greeted me. This is weird.

I start calling his name, walking all over our townhouse, but he's just not showing up. I'm starting to worry, but also desperately need to take a piss, so I head to my bathroom.

As soon as the process begins, as it were, I hear a sound. Right behind the shower curtain. Everybody has had this nightmare. I slowly reach over, pull the shower certain back ever so slightly, to find...

The dog. Damn thing was so scared of the sound of the wind it was cowering in the tub, the place it would normally never go.

Dogs are fucking weird.

[–]ideserveagoldstar 0 points1 point ago

Poor thing! please tell me you stopped mid stream to give the dog loves!

[–]YNinja58 2 points3 points ago

Mine will jump in. . . Albeit begrudgingly. Then stand there looking like I'm violating him the entire time.

[–]pitbullavenger 1 point2 points ago

ha! mine do the same thing. the audacity!!!

[–]howitzing 14 points15 points ago

[–]WhereAreMyMinds 5 points6 points ago

Pretty sure human soap is bad for dogs' skin. Not sure if there is some kind of dog-friendly bubble bath out there, but just be sure to take care of his (her?) coat by using the right soap! You've got a really special one there!

[–]Emikal 5 points6 points ago

I had a family member who's dog was a rescue. He had all of his teeth beaten out by his previous owner. I hope this is not the case for this dog, but it could be a similar situation.

[–]raitai 0 points1 point ago

He's just a pit bull. When they do that gaping smile they look like that. Especially puppies who have tiny, thin teeth.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points ago

Reminds me of a snake unhinging its jaw with that lack of teeth there. :)

[–]gwiff 4 points5 points ago

It honestly took me a second to figure out whether this is a seal or a dog.

Actually, I'm still not 100% sure.

[–]TrueBlueA 8 points9 points ago

[–]SecrtAgentMan 4 points5 points ago

My dogs are weird with showers and ear cleanings.

One of them is 100 lbs and will do whatever he can to get out of the tub, but he loves to get his ears cleaned.

The other doesn't love showers but he will stay in the tub, but he will cut me to shreds if I attempt to clean his ears out.

Dogs be cray.

[–]johzho123 2 points3 points ago

I don't always take a bath

But when I do, I do it for the karma.

[–]vidus 3 points4 points ago

That is the face of pure joy.

[–]dochobbes 3 points4 points ago

How on earth did you get your pitbull to enjoy a bath? If I want to give mine a bath I have to get in the shower with him and sit with him on my lap.

[–]Nefarious_Lobster 3 points4 points ago

It's clearly screaming for mercy!

But seriously, that's pretty cute :)

[–]macinstyle 2 points3 points ago

this is possibly the best photo of a dog i've seen in two whole days!

[–]pitbullavenger 4 points5 points ago

its a pittie and this handsome lil' fella or lass has teeth but they are covered by lips and tongue and pibble slobbery slobberyness. google "smiling pit bull" and you'll see what i mean. drops mic, leaves stage

[–]VegetableTowelling 0 points1 point ago

Pibble?!

[–]pitbullavenger 1 point2 points ago

hangs head in shame too cutesy?

[–]VegetableTowelling 0 points1 point ago

No, it's a fabulous word imo. It's just that I've just never heard it before! What does it mean?!

[–]pitbullavenger 1 point2 points ago

hahaha... its the word "pit bull" said reaaaaallly fast... pibble! try it. :) other pit bull owners know this sort of nonsense lol. its just a nickname that stuck for pitties. thanks for asking.

[–]LifeBeginsAt10kRPM 2 points3 points ago

Good to see more pitties getting love in aww

[–]kittysue804 7 points8 points ago

Gets dog in bathtub, dog instantly pees in bathtub.....no one wins

[–]oodja 0 points1 point ago

It's all pipes.

[–]RianaBanana0324 8 points9 points ago

R/pitbulls:)

[–]windowsnerd 2 points3 points ago

It's staring into my soul...

[–]droivod 2 points3 points ago

grandpa dog.

[–]shinghot 2 points3 points ago

I envy you, my dog won't even allow me to brush him.

[–]jsnoots 2 points3 points ago

LOL, I'm gettin" a wash.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points ago

Now that is one happy dog! Love this picture!

[–]stephwilson 2 points3 points ago

Yeah, there's definitely a person in there too. Note the feet by the faucet and the arm on the other end.

I assume they came out of it with a ton of scratches?

[–]NoHoax 2 points3 points ago

This picture reminds me of my old female blue. Her name was Anna Molly and she looked just like that but with teeth. Every time I see pictures like this I miss her so much. She was my little wiggle butt.

[–]sweaty_missile 2 points3 points ago

Lol, He's pretty happy...

[–]jh_2719 4 points5 points ago

The thumbnail made me think this was a raptordinosaur thing.. whatsitcalled.

[–]edenfae 2 points3 points ago

Weird, me too.

[–]StunninIzAHabit 5 points6 points ago

I actually went, "awwwwwwwwww" while laughing! He's precious!

[–]-Trey_Smith- 3 points4 points ago

Do I spy a smidge of human near the faucet?

[–]WestsideStorybro 1 point2 points ago

Yes I believe it is...this picture just became disturbing.

[–]xDerivative 4 points5 points ago

Hey, it's Chris Bosh.

[–]ogami1972 5 points6 points ago

Dat Pit Mouth.

[–]lynx3 1 point2 points ago

Looks like a raptor from Jurassic Park.

[–]postucsd 1 point2 points ago

I saw the thumbnail and saw a Velociraptor ...

[–]GrandMasterReddit 1 point2 points ago

Is it just me,or does the thumbnail look like a viloseraptor taking a bath?

[–]llamasauce 1 point2 points ago

Skeksis!

[–]ISenseRustling 1 point2 points ago

I FUCKING LOVE BATHS!!!!!!

[–]nicuchk 1 point2 points ago

this is awesome

[–]nicuchk 1 point2 points ago

er hang on, is there someone IN the bath with the dog?

[–]Sc0ttMurray 1 point2 points ago

Nice pet dinosaur.

[–]machzel08 1 point2 points ago

HOLY FUCK BUBBLES!!!!!

[–]Anem8r 3 points4 points ago

I saw this on my facebook feed last week.

The face of happiness.

[–]Chudds 1 point2 points ago

The thumbnail looks like a grey Kermit.

[–]dvo_j 1 point2 points ago

this dog is soooo awesome!!

[–]diabolotry 2 points3 points ago

My golden used to love baths. Then she had to get them twice a week for some strange skin thing she had and she started to hate them.

[–]wears_tall_boots 4 points5 points ago

For a moment, I thought that was a small dinosaur and was very confused.

[–]Turst37 3 points4 points ago

Where did you get this awesome dinosaur?

[–]kingrattus 2 points3 points ago

Too cute!

When Digi was a pup she would always HAVE to be in the tub during a bath or a shower. She was abused at 5 weeks or age & it messed her up BAD for 3 years. By a yr old she was more normal-ish, but still had to be int he tub out of habit, or possibly joy, but she was pretty big & didn't leave much room for me LOL. She LOVED bubble baths the most as she would paw & bite at them. Once we moved to a new place when she was 2 she NEVER went willingly into the tub again. I was happy & sad as I was just so use to her always being there. She still likes water & loves the rain, but puts up a bit of a stink in the tub & will be very vocal if you try to force her into the bathroom...silly dog.

[–]MTBDude 1 point2 points ago

Normally, our dogs hate baths, but one day my step-mom turned on the bath to wash her hair. It was so hot, that one of our dogs ran right in and jump right inside to cool off.

[–]Icantevenhavemyname 1 point2 points ago

I've had a rough day. Thank you, OP. That's the first time I have cracked a grin all day.

[–]icypops 1 point2 points ago

My chihuahua loves shower time, to the point that it's annoying to wash her. She loves trying to catch the water so you have to turn off the shower between rinses and washes or else you can't catch her to shampoo her :-)

[–]jschooler 1 point2 points ago

hey ladies....bubbles!!!

[–]neon_unicorns 1 point2 points ago

AWWWWWWWEEEEEE! SO CUTE!!!!

[–]awesomeck 1 point2 points ago

for a full second i thought it was a dinosaur!! i only stopped to examine it when i thought 'that can't be right!'. Man i'm slow

[–]cleverlyclevername 1 point2 points ago

Look at that terribly vicious dog...no really look at how aggressive and dangerous it looks. I live in Ontario Canada and these dogs are banned (how do we find it our right to ban an animal) because of how "vicious" they are. Makes me so angry.....but then cute pic makes me so happy :)

[–]MrF33 1 point2 points ago

Not the time or place for this argument, we understand that you're all for the breed, but please don't try to start this circlejerk here too.

[–]cleverlyclevername 0 points1 point ago

But circle jerks are fun :) soggy cracker? But in all honesty it wasn't my intention to start a big debate just get a little frustrated sometimes... No harm done :)

[–]Shway1000000 2 points3 points ago

I know that dog! Lara?

[–]SethChrisDominic 1 point2 points ago

Is that a velociraptor??

[–]alexdtree 0 points1 point ago

At first i thought it was a velociraptor.

[–]MangoMagick 0 points1 point ago

OMG this is the cutest picture yet that I've seen on r/aww! Love it!

[–]thegreenflamingo 0 points1 point ago

Kinda looks like Chris Bosh

[–]karatechalk 0 points1 point ago

Puppies make me happy!!

[–]smokincola 0 points1 point ago

CLOVERFIELD!!!

[–]farkum 0 points1 point ago

AHHH GODZILLA!!!

[–]cyclegirl 0 points1 point ago

[–]Wolfblaine 0 points1 point ago

Like a little dinosaur.

[–]mauibrenton 0 points1 point ago

:D

[–]kevincreeperpants 0 points1 point ago

Wait a minute.....THAT DOG HAS NO TEETH!

[–]Ghilly-guy777 0 points1 point ago

Who thought that this was a man by the thumbnail picture

[–]thirtythree_fiftytwo 0 points1 point ago

I saw the thumbnail and thought you were bathing a velociraptor. Which would be awesome.

But your dog's cool too.

[–]cakekween 0 points1 point ago

"I can't breath!!!"

[–]hardtoremember 0 points1 point ago

Made me giggle!

[–]kalyco 0 points1 point ago

Bacon Flavored Bubbles!!

[–]lgreenl 0 points1 point ago

Fake, it's just good taxidermy...

[–]laceandink 0 points1 point ago

im kinda sad cause the thumbnail for this pic looked like a t-rex in a tub...and im tired enough i actually thought it could be a t-rex in a tub

[–]pitbullavenger 0 points1 point ago

[–]coderloo 0 points1 point ago

My night was instantly made by this photo. So cute! :D

[–]MetaGarbold 0 points1 point ago

hahahahahhaha....

[–]Bloodfinn 0 points1 point ago

When I first looked at his I thought "where he fuck did this guy get a dinosaur?" Then I realized it was a dog...

[–]panda2000girl 0 points1 point ago

so cute aww

[–]Mescoleto 0 points1 point ago

What has 2 thumbs and loves bubbles...oh, wait...

[–]come_on_seth 0 points1 point ago

Glorious. Thanx for big stupid grin on my face that matches your pooch's

[–]Theobviousalibi 0 points1 point ago

At first glance, I thought this dog was a dinosaur in a bath tub.

[–]chantistar 0 points1 point ago

this is the most adorable thing ever!!!!!!!!

[–]wilsonmanely 0 points1 point ago

I think he kind of looks like a seal...but an odd demented seal.

[–]Wildcard35 0 points1 point ago

FTFY: Ermahgerd

Berbles!

[–]hipsterguts 0 points1 point ago

I thought that was a velociraptor when I saw the smaller picture

[–]dwightmoody 0 points1 point ago

Is that the Kracken?

[–]edubinthehills 1 point2 points ago

Gimme some mooooorrrrre soap!!!!

[–]throw_a_weigh11 0 points1 point ago

This is adorable.

[–]Pmall3535 0 points1 point ago

Looks like one happy doggy . Good for you.

[–]ogami1972 0 points1 point ago

OP! CAN YOU PLEASE CONFIRM WHAT WE ALL KNOW THIS TO BE, WHICH IS A PERFECTLY NORMAL PIT PUP, WITH ALL TEETH IN PLACE?

pits are weird, sometimes they just look like this.

[–]r0hto88 0 points1 point ago

Chris Bosh!

[–]unripefruit 0 points1 point ago

That is clearly a raptor.

[–]Tagik 0 points1 point ago

Damn it OP. Tell us what happened to its teeth! Ex fighting dog or what?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

This is the cutest fucking thing I've ever seen.

[–]The_F_uckin_B_I 0 points1 point ago

is it me or this dog has no teeth?

[–]jp_lolo 0 points1 point ago

does that animal have any teeth?

[–]TigerLilyy 0 points1 point ago

Adorable! Such a sweet, happy face. I love it

[–]Waitokkie 0 points1 point ago

am i the only one who sees someone in the tub with the dog?
