Edit: This is more than her collecting SS (and Medicare). She said that the Native American's did not have a right to their land since they were "savages" and Europeans were "civilized." She condemned all social programs and argued that people should only be concerned with their own self-interests. She thought homosexuality was "immoral" and "disgusting." She underwent surgery because she thought data linking smoking to lung cancer was a hoax (coughcoughglobalclimatechangecough). She wasn't a very good person. And just about every corrupt politician and businessman credit her philosophies for their (ill gotten) success.
