Gaymers is an inclusive community for LGBT and straight alliance redditors. We host frequent voice and/or video chat nights, regularly play multi-player games together, talk about how totally rugged David Hayter is, how sexy Samus is in her zero suit, talk about how we love big wii sessions, and playing with an xbox all night long.

Expect to be offended by something you see here at least once.

Please, no Gaymers cider. Seriously. ಠ_ಠ

Is it just me or is that app somewhat homophobic? Saw another one on /r/ainbow where it was a choice between being a succesful gay athlete or a straight average joe.

[–]mattroes[S] 24 points25 points ago

Yeah, just came across another one. Would I rather never touch a computer again or never touch the opposite sex again.

At least the decisions are easier for us...?

[–]CaptainSchwamm 5 points6 points ago

That's not homophobic. I mean if you were straight and couldn't touch the opposite sex ever again, it would suck.

[–]mattroes[S] 9 points10 points ago

I know, it was meant light-heartedly. It's just funny to see so many questions on that app that are much easier to answer if you're gay. I've noticed a few of them have started to say "the sex you're not attracted to" instead of "opposite sex".

I guess bisexual people just have the game in checkmate then, huh?

[–]Brodiferus 14 points15 points ago

Bisexuals = ultimate metagamers!

[–]scoooot 8 points9 points ago

Only pansexuals beat them.

[–]LuxNocte 8 points9 points ago

Yeah...but if you're having sex with pans, you've already lost.

[–]scoooot 16 points17 points ago

Depends on how hot they are.

[–]bugses101 10 points11 points ago

Most likely the hotter the pan, the less of a good time you're going to have.

I got the term "the attractive sex" from Dinosaur Comics, and I think it's wonderfully efficient.

[–]reddditoor 0 points1 point ago

Shouldn't that be "the attractive sex(es)/gender(s) (if any)"?

[–]scoooot 5 points6 points ago

That question was quite homophobic, or at least assumes that homophobia is the default attitude, which is also homophobic.

This question simply assumes the audience is straight. Heterocentric, but not homophobic.

[–]doctorqui 0 points1 point ago

Homophobia? Why that died out yeeeeaaars ago.

[–]Josh_Vince 10 points11 points ago

On the plus side, they actually referred to it as marriage.

[–]phrz 5 points6 points ago

That app is beyond heteronormative.

[–]scoooot 8 points9 points ago

I'd pick the first one.

[–]deeplywombat 0 points1 point ago

Yeah me too.

[–]Lychizzle 2 points3 points ago

We've outplayed you, heteronormativity!

[–]itsjackh 1 point2 points ago

Eugh, Optus, such horrible problems with them

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

Every time I see "YES OPTUS" I remember of this

[–]sad_pants 0 points1 point ago

What app is it

[–]mattroes[S] 0 points1 point ago

"You Rather". There's also a web version here.
