I'm pretty sure those aren't direct quotes anyway.

how could they be?

[–]nonentity_tortise 0 points1 point ago

Well they aren't from the bible are they.

[–]ngratz13[S] 1 point2 points ago

It's all a paraphrase anyway

I feel like direct quotes would work better, and be more holy.

Hey, if I get everlasting life I'd say that's a pretty nice compromise.

should say "ex wife".

[–]nicknaseef17 1 point2 points ago

Yes, because God actually says that stuff in the Bible right? (sarcasm) Stuff like this is moronic.

Same here ... and I show up as a frequent contributor.

[–]skeptic11 1 point2 points ago

I don't mind seeing it again personally.

Me neither, I find the whole religion Stockholm syndrome thing to be rather interesting

[–]skeptic11 1 point2 points ago

I find the Stockholm syndrome interesting in general.

How much does it take to induce this effect? Is this what keeps at jobs we feel abuse us?

[–]CanadianWizardess 1 point2 points ago

Jobs? Probably not. I think that's more worrying about what-ifs: what if I quit and can't find another job, what if I do find another job and it's just as bad, etc. Or reasoning with yourself that work is not meant to be fun. Some people fear change to the extent that they'd prefer to remain at a bad job than find something new.
