Reddit is a link sharing site. It's supposed to share other people's work (of course by linking to the creator's site). Sharing stuff the submitter created himself (i.e. being original) isn't necessary.

Of course, subreddits have its own rules. And I always like it when I see something original in /r/funny. But I wouldn't appreciate it when there'd be an 'If you didn't make it, don't post it' - rule. /r/funny is the biggest subreddit, it gets tons of new submissions every day. When something new or original is posted, only a few people would see it. But when it gets reposted, more people can see it. And that's what Reddit is made for - sharing content, not creating it.

I understand people who complain about reposts. But if they want a place where they only can see original content and where reposts are forbidden, they won't belong in /r/funny.

I think you misunderstand where I'm going (or I really suck at clarifying it) - people who are aware of reposts (as many would be if it has just been on the front page) never give credit to the original (or at least the one they have seen). Not even [fixed] and [X-post from /r/...] do it - they just take something that may give them lots of karma and take the honour. That is what I want with Redditors - more honesty.

But when that's said, what you wrote above is true and I agree - it is difficult to see everything on Reddit, so there are gonna be reposts.

The problem is, when someone finds something on the internet, most of the time he/she is not able to find the original source. Especially if it's made by another redditor, because they usually post it directly on reddit and doesn't have blogs/sites.

That said, i totally agree with you. If the submitter knew that it's from reddit, he/she could at least mention it in the comments.

The idea that you have to sacrifice your best breeding years in order to put yourself into debt learning a skill that will be obsolete by the time you finish studying it is called college or stupid.

Better that you become pare-bonded with someone one who knows you at your absolute best and start raising a family doing whatever work your parents have trained you in from birth till puberty.

The first year of your marriage your family should pay for you not to work and instead work on developing the lifelong relationship at it's inception. Slavery and war get in the way of this but we can make it illegal for a person who hasn't gone through this right way of passage to leave for war. Thus leveling the playing field so poor people can't be oppressed by rich ones into going to war before they've had time to put themselves in thd future.
