Its not an exclusive club, but no need to be an ass about it. If someone offers a friendly greeting you can return it and move along, even if you think it may be a bit silly. Him making a point to ignore you actually made it a bigger deal than you even mentioning it. Dont let it get you down, maybe he was having a shit day. Thats what I tell myself when people are rude.

The same thing happened to me a few nights ago, was at a gig and was buying some merch from one of the bands. The guy went to shake my hand as I turned away after saying thanks. I was already about 160 degrees round before it registered he was going for a handshake, if I’d turned back around to shake his hand it would’ve been this whole awkward situation so I just bailed. I really think about this shit too much.

as much as i like reddit, the whole reddit solidarity thing is beyond me...always strikes me as an incredibly lonely sentiment. it's equivalent to feeling an emotional connection with a complete stranger when you find out they use the internet, too. reddit is a tool for browsing the internet, much like google. would you feel an emotional connection with every stranger who uses google?
