Give me that users name, GIVE IT TO ME

I want to laugh at this person's arrogance, but instead I feel like crying. How deep in an abusive delusion do you have to be to consider this an act of god's mercy when 12 people died and 50 others were injured? What sort of sick "well he killed some people, but he could have killed more" explanation would justify that as being "mercy?"

If god jammed the AR-15, it would mean that god is certainly able to influence things in the world. That also means that god could have prevented this tragedy entirely though. Unless of course god's power only extends to jamming one gun (that happens to be known for jamming), in which case he sure as fuck isn't much of a god.

Sort of reminds me of that Rorschach quote, "If god saw what any of us did that night he didn't seem to mind."

I understand people wanting to find the positive in situations like this, but the sad truth is that there is nothing positive about it. What we can do is try to comfort those affected, and try to prevent another tragedy like this from happening. It saddens me deeply to know that many people who believe in an eternal afterlife don't grasp just how precious this life really is.

That was exactly my thought as well. I don't understand how this person can make posts like this (they do it all of the time).

[–]kellenthehun 4 points5 points ago

Hey, he hurricanes hurricane prone areas in hurricane season. That's just how God do.

[–]SheHailsFromTheHills 19 points20 points ago

Fuck everything about this. God is great enough to make it harder for him to kill those people, but not great enough to save them? Well, fuck him.

[–]Angeldust01 14 points15 points ago

"I help those who help themselves" -God

In other words: Fuck you guys, you're on your own.

"Eat a dick, I'm watching CSI." -God

[–]Surathan 0 points1 point ago

"Eat a dick, I'm watching these lesbians make out." -God* Fixed

[–]smooshTHEmoose -1 points0 points ago

"Eat a lesbian, I'm watching these dicks make out." -God** Double fixed.

[–]Surathan 0 points1 point ago

I would love to eat out a lesbian, but I am not a woman.

[–]smooshTHEmoose -1 points0 points ago

Invest in a blindfold. Let me elaborate: She's the one wearing it.

[–]Ghstfce 3 points4 points ago

How convenient.

[–]facetiously 36 points37 points ago

Evidence that the AR-15 overheats and jams on a regular basis, anyone who's fired off a few banana clips already knew that.

[–]Phunk131 12 points13 points ago

You misspelled God's Love.

[–]GodOfThunder44 0 points1 point ago

Evidence that the AR-15 overheats and jams on a regular basis when idiots forget to lube them.

FTFY.

Edit: Your downvote is fairly amusing considering that the same kind of idiot I'm talking about in Colorado not properly setting up his weapon potentially saved dozens of lives.

[–]AngriestCosmonaut 6 points7 points ago

God makes shitty guns. You know who makes good guns? Russia.

[–]virek 3 points4 points ago

What the fuck.

[–]deathmint 10 points11 points ago

Bullcrap. The AR-15 isnt known for its reliability. If he'd had an AK, there would be MANY more dead.

[–]rusty_chipmunk 4 points5 points ago

So is that all he can do? He couldn't..you know ALLOW THIS NOT TO HAPPEN. Thank god he made that first gun jam so that he had to switch to another weapon to keep on shooting/killing

The logic of some religious people is sickening

[–]kegman83 2 points3 points ago

Guess he was a little busy. His mercy missed 12 people.

[–]Dawkins20 1 point2 points ago

That was Satan...duh

[–]misselisebrown 2 points3 points ago

Damn. What a stupid reaction to such a tragedy.

Pro-tip: /r/thefacebookdelusion LOVES posts like these.

[–]Msj2705 2 points3 points ago

"My shovel broke, time to break out the bat."

[–]cheet621 2 points3 points ago

dat mercy

[–]mattg63 2 points3 points ago

Considering that all God is normally up to is appearing on toast, this must have taken some effort on his part.

[–]reidhasguitar 1 point2 points ago

Yep. The omnipotent and omnibenevolent God, stopped someone from using a higher powered weapon. Yep. That's some serious proof you've got there.

[–]Ignorant_Turtle 1 point2 points ago

Thats it? So let me get this straight. Almighty god, creator of the universe, alpha and omega, all powerful, all knowing and all loving.. All he could muster was a jam midway through the guy shooting 70 people? Look I'm a reasonable fella, but I'm not impressed.

[–]mrgoldbe 1 point2 points ago

Are you fucking kidding me?

[–]TheLateApexLine 1 point2 points ago

Couldn't god have made all of his guns jam or misfire? No, no. God likes drama, so that's why. Yeah, that's it!

[–]SonataNo8 1 point2 points ago

Or maybe caused a malfunction in his heart, brain, car's engine, or front door preventing the entire goddamn thing?

[–]juliuszs 0 points1 point ago

Because omnipotence means "I won't do shit until mechanical malfunction occurs". Mercy is for humans.

[–]woodyear99 0 points1 point ago

God 1 Aurora shooter 0

[–]MooFu 7 points8 points ago

I really, really hate myself for this, but

God 1 Aurora shooter 12

FTFY

[–]imkish 0 points1 point ago

The clear response to this is to ask what the poster would think of a woman who, after being beaten every night by a drunk husband, says, "He is so merciful, though, because he uses a belt instead of a golf club."

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

And then allowed him to kill at least 12 people and harm over 50 more.... Go God!! -_-

[–]Bukojuko 0 points1 point ago

Was this before or after 12 people were killed and a 3 month old was shot

[–]shawn22252 0 points1 point ago

Thy just sounds like poor preventative maintenance to me, if he cleaned his gun it wouldn't have jamed. Now with that said I am gla he didn't do so.

[–]AwesomeSauce4 0 points1 point ago

Mercy!? Does anyone need to say anything about these people anymore?

[–]mksmothers 0 points1 point ago

weapons jam; that isn't a miracle, its just a pain at the rifle range

[–]BradMagnum 0 points1 point ago

Mercy my ass. The muzzle velocity of the AR 15 is around 3100 feet per second. The round it fires 5.56 MM tends to over penetrate and NOT release all of its energy into the target. The round is moving so fast it can pass through the target and not cause fatal injury. However, a larger bullet like the 40 caliber or even the 9 MM is moving at a much slower velocity and tends to tumber once it hits the target releasing more energy inside the body and causing a lot more damage. The M16 family of weapons are garbage.

Evidence that Jesus is really Satan is more like it. Not that either are real to begin with, but if you HAVE to make some sort of theologic conjecture to this post...

[–]gaj7 0 points1 point ago

How gracious of god to waste a few seconds of the shooter's time switching from his AR to his shotgun. How the fuck do people think like this?

[–]the_mad_felcher 0 points1 point ago

Am I the only one that thought maybe MAYBE this was sarcasm. Poe's law maybe. He did capitalize great.

[–]go-rot-in-a-sewer 0 points1 point ago

couldn't god just put a block in the gun and force a backfire.... it isnt common but does happen. and would definitely be efficient at disarming this fuck if not killing.

[–]The1andonlyZack 0 points1 point ago

REALLY?....REALLLLLLY?!
