Where does the pot go?

[–]Valadar917 57 points58 points ago

On the stove, silly. As with all pots.

[–]hreiedv 25 points26 points ago

this is a very good joke and what all jokes should aspire to be

[–]ratajewie 3 points4 points ago

Who's on first.

[–]freakedoutthrowaway1 43 points44 points ago

In the 2 tbsp of olive oil. Or you can remove the pinch of salt and substitute the olive oil with the same amount of cannabutter.

Edit: I'VE MADE A HUGE MISTAKE! Make sure you don't put 2 tbsp of full-strength cannabutter into 1 serving of anything.

[–]Aziral 64 points65 points ago

No son, it was no mistake. Let the cannabutter flow through you.

[–]NaHydroxide 0 points1 point ago

Use the force.

[–]Quasitoko 10 points11 points ago

Hahaha, this made me laugh muchly.

[–]AnonymousRitz 2 points3 points ago

1 tbsp or even less?

[–]freakedoutthrowaway1 8 points9 points ago

Depends on how strong you make it and you should do your own research (there are many guides online). Don't trust me to tell you the proper dosing for a drug that varies greatly in potency and tolerance, I'm a stranger on the internet.

[–]AnonymousRitz 1 point2 points ago

That's true, I was just curious what this guys idea what. The guides online technically were written by a stranger on the internet .^ Asking questions is a form of research, but I totally get what you're saying :D

[–]freakedoutthrowaway1 2 points3 points ago

Many good points! I honestly have never made edibles so I couldn't actually be very helpful.

[–]acconartist 1 point2 points ago

You seem like a really cool person.

[–]freakedoutthrowaway1 0 points1 point ago

So do you! That's what's great r/trees. And people. Mostly people.

[–]acconartist 0 points1 point ago

Now, whats the thing behind your username?

[–]AnonymousRitz 0 points1 point ago

Me neither! Adds to why I am curious about this, such an easy one.

[–]me202 0 points1 point ago

the honesty of this comment gives me feels

[–]DishonestBystander 0 points1 point ago

Still need the salt, bro. Unless you used salted butter to make your cannabutter, which is not recommended.

[–]freakedoutthrowaway1 0 points1 point ago

TIL

[–]NHdanks -1 points0 points ago

Never put any thing to to with weed in the microwave( i personally wouldnt put anything in the microwave) it is way to hot and with kill all the thc

[–]Quasitoko 0 points1 point ago

Not true! People decarboxylate their pot in the microwave all the time!

[–]Bobilip 7 points8 points ago

The question is, how much?

[–]Onzez 4 points5 points ago

The real question is, who?

[–]tagged4life 1 point2 points ago

Just replace the olive oil with cannabis oil.

[–]muhbuh 27 points28 points ago

You know what I'm gonna replace REGULAR oil with... ;)

[–]zRobbie 35 points36 points ago

DONT LEAVE US HANGING. What are you going to replace it with ._.

[–]Yoshiplaysthesax 17 points18 points ago

Elbow grease and love. Mostly elbows.

[–]superdan25 5 points6 points ago

[–]Yoshiplaysthesax 14 points15 points ago

[–]Hulubub 2 points3 points ago

You just made my day. Have an uptoke.

[–]TheMadStork[S] 1 point2 points ago

Your grandfather's semen.

[–]omercy 2 points3 points ago

I have some leftover volcano poo oil. Its not enough for another full pan o'brownies but its perfect for this cup o'brownie!

[–]TheMadStork[S] 0 points1 point ago

I have no idea what you're talking about winky face

[–]Mikeyone77 6 points7 points ago

its funny i saw this posted here on r/trees then reposted to LPT's then back to r/trees, its the circle of life.

[–]joshszman09 3 points4 points ago

Ahhhhhhhhhh fa sin yaaaaaaaaaa! da be ba dadaaaaaaaaaaaa. The ciiiiiiiircle of liiiiiiiiiiiife!

[–]theheartbreakpug 5 points6 points ago

I don't have cocoa :(

[–]jubydoo 2 points3 points ago

Run to the corner store, buy a bar of chocolate. Cut back on the sugar (maybe even completely nix it -- you're going to taste it to figure it out) and melt the chocolate before you mix it in. Voila!

[–]bassman48 1 point2 points ago

neither did ,i im just making it like a mug cake.

[–]freakedoutthrowaway1 0 points1 point ago

If you have semi-sweet chocolate, you can substitute that for the oil, sugar, and cocoa (that said, next time you go to the store, it's cheaper using the recommended ingredients)

[–]greyscales 9 points10 points ago

Who bakes with olive oil?

[–]relaks 29 points30 points ago

The entire mediterranean? Middle east as well?

[–]BudsMcGreenzie 11 points12 points ago

I'm arab, and I don't bake with olive oil. I just use it for everything else. Olive oil is too strong tasting to bake sweets with.

[–]greyscales 4 points5 points ago

Not sweets though.

[–]relaks 0 points1 point ago

yep, sweets too. There's many recipes you can cook with olive oil. Doesn't suit all desserts, but the ones it does it's delicious.

[–]Medicevitae24 1 point2 points ago

Would veg oil work?

[–]aeronix 4 points5 points ago

Yes, that is what most people would use.

[–]bsonk 2 points3 points ago

Most recipes for mug brownies use canola oil.

[–]JeremyEnt95 1 point2 points ago

Rapeseed oil?

[–]bsonk 2 points3 points ago

The rapin'ist rapeseed oil around, indeed.

[–]JeremyEnt95 3 points4 points ago

Ah rapeseed oil " the taste of rape"

[–]bsonk 2 points3 points ago

Rape!

[–]Onzez 4 points5 points ago

Read that as vag oil. Just thought I would tell you.

[–]MisterPresident813 1 point2 points ago

Had a friend who baked a batch of brownies with olive oil, they tasted terrible but they got the job done that is for sure.

[–]Shantoz 7 points8 points ago

I keep hearing about this, then I always see someone saying it tastes like ass. Sad day indeed.

[–]JuniBJones 8 points9 points ago

I just tried this out and they were amazing, even better with chocolate chips. Can't wait to use special butter for this :))

[–]HitokiriNate85 4 points5 points ago

Mug brownies are seriously shitty. Really not worth it, even with so little work involved.

[–]SirDelirium 3 points4 points ago

I've found it all comes down to zeroing in on the right mix/time for your microwave.

That being said, real brownies are always going to be better.

[–]bsonk 0 points1 point ago

It depends on the ratios of ingredients you use. I can see a poorly made version tasting bad but basically it's just a brownie made with canola oil as the fat.

[–]CapnCrayg 1 point2 points ago

That was my first thought as well.

[–]srsherm 1 point2 points ago

How have I never seen this?

[–]BoBean 1 point2 points ago

Sweet

[–]Yoshiplaysthesax 1 point2 points ago

Remember all, THC is fat soluble. More fat = more likely THC extracted.

This might not be warm enough for the THC to become properly edible too...

[–]OnlyEatsTacoBell 2 points3 points ago

So are you basically saying it's not a good idea to try this mixed with trees? :(

[–]Yoshiplaysthesax 9 points10 points ago

Probably not, sorry. :(

Try this.

Get Maria Cookies Available in most super markets in the US Check the Hispanic aisle

Slap some motherfucking nutella on it. Take some finely ground weed and sprinkle it on that bastard. I use about a quarter of a teaspoon. I don't know how much that weighs.

Slap another cookie on top to make a sandwich wrap in tin foil. I usually wrap six in one bundle. Bake at 250 for 20 mins. put it in the freezer after removing from the oven until it's around room temp or freeze them, I'm not a cop.

Consume. I find one - two sandwiches is a decent buzz, three is a stoning (Don't go in public you'll never hide it).

[–]taran42 2 points3 points ago

Will it smell up a room cooking them?

[–]Yoshiplaysthesax 0 points1 point ago

Kinda. I can't quite remember if I smelled Marijuana or not. I remember being able to smell them though. Probably depends on the weed.

If you're trying to hide from seasoned smokers, assume it will smell and they know.

If you're trying to hide from the woefully ignorant claim it's a cooking smell.

[–]taran42 2 points3 points ago

My dad smokes but doesn't allow me to, because my mom hates that he does it. So if I were to make this treat could the smell be gone in about 2 hours or so? I would make 2-3 of them...

[–]Yoshiplaysthesax 1 point2 points ago

You've got two or three hours? Shit, you'll be fine. Make sure to bake some ones without weed to give to others in the house. Place'em on a plate nobody'll be the wiser.

[–]taran42 1 point2 points ago

Thanks man!

[–]SirDelirium 1 point2 points ago

Bake something else at the same time to eat with them. Or chili. Or anything smelly.

[–]taran42 1 point2 points ago

Or does cooking weed make the smell stay longer?

[–]HoneyBeeTree 1 point2 points ago

You. You are an evil genius. I was raised on those cookies, man. I'm gonna make ice cream sandwiches out of 'em now..

[–]jubydoo 0 points1 point ago

You're good if you prep some cannabutter beforehand, but just throwing trees in this? Probably not.

[–]bsonk 0 points1 point ago

Not unless you infuse the cannabinoids from the trees into your oil or butter first, and even then the microwave may destroy the cannabinoids by getting them hotter than 350F.

[–]dagawd123 1 point2 points ago

Cleaning the mug is treacherous

[–]kuribohgx 1 point2 points ago

i thought the cocoa was keif.

[–]HandStandKing 1 point2 points ago

This belongs only one place. In my stomach.

[–]FishyDude 1 point2 points ago

It's good, and a lot of brownie... I'm going to try halving everything next time.

[–]Chasincows 1 point2 points ago

I love the "...its consistent" haha that cracks me up

[–]Roflkopt3r 1 point2 points ago

I've not yet tried either recipe, but the LPT comments implied that this recipe is not very good (hard to clean cup afterwards, and bad consistency).

This one appears better to me!

[–]tischu 1 point2 points ago

It needs VANILLA! 1/4 tsp should be enough, add it with the water.

credentials: 4 years as a (wake'n'bake'n') baker

[–]RotoBone 1 point2 points ago

My attempt. Prognosis: pretty good; gooey as fuck!

[–]RotoBone 0 points1 point ago

Just finished. Actually pretty yucky.

[–]Yoshiplaysthesax -1 points0 points ago

Are you experiencing a high?

[–]pakron 1 point2 points ago

I just tried this. Thoughts:

This recipe sucks. All you get is a gooey clump of chocolatey crap. Way too much liquid.

I then tried 1 tbsp of oil and 2 tbsp of water. This was closer, but still too gooey. The batter actually looked and tasted like brownie batter instead of chocolate soup like the OP posting. Stuck it back in for another minute (1000 watt microwave) and it finally stayed risen. Was in too long though and tastes burnt.

I would probably recommend a little less liquid still and a little less time. 2 minutes perhaps.

[–]scootypuffjr33 1 point2 points ago

Can you straight up add trees to that without using cannabutter and have it work?

[–]DuckTruck 0 points1 point ago

Wow I did this one time, when I was high. Surprise surprise.

[–]Pharmaki 0 points1 point ago

You man. Are a hero. Too much oil though :/

[–]way2bored 0 points1 point ago

replace the tea spoon with canna oil

[–]TuffDreamer 0 points1 point ago

Also, mug eggs for breakfast (used to do it a lot when I was younger). But neither taste great.

[–]TradeMover 0 points1 point ago

Damn, I only have 100% natural water

[–]DaltonBreitz 0 points1 point ago

My grandma sent me this and its chocolate cake

[–]Naahant 0 points1 point ago

genius.

[–]Sazaranthran 0 points1 point ago

I've tried these before, they are not actually brownies, they end up being more chocolate sponge cake which is fine if that's what you're going for, but it's not brownies.

[–]philin 0 points1 point ago

FYI These come out chewy and unevevenly cooked. But they're edible, and good enough if you're high.

[–]kmshadoze 0 points1 point ago

There was another version of this but for making Pot Brownies in a Mug, but could just do this one and change a couple things =)

[–]bsonk 0 points1 point ago

The ultimate dorm room meal.

[–]thelegitpat 0 points1 point ago

I just made this it's fucking amazing

[–]SentIntoExile 0 points1 point ago

I saw this last night and tried making a guy's modified recipe, since it seemed much more gourmet since it didn't use OLIVE OIL and it had eggs like brownies should.

I almost puked.

[–]kurb21 0 points1 point ago

Has anyone here tried this yet? If so let us know..

[–]Ace_Pigeon 0 points1 point ago

Yo, don't just throw weed in there and expect some weed brownies. You have to extract the THC from the weed with a fatty solute. Head over to /r/treedibles for actual recipes!

fuck

[7]

[–]AtomicRaine 0 points1 point ago

Uhhh... Success? I added a little milk to the mixture and it was delicious. I did go a little off-recipe though. Sunflower Oil and Brown sugar.

[–]Tyrant718 0 points1 point ago

Post this in r/entcookbook

[–]raver459 0 points1 point ago

How come I think I would likely throw the ice cream in the microwave too, and have a bunch of melted ice cream :( [6]

[–]YoureTheLastOne 0 points1 point ago

Holy shit balls! the perfect idea! BROOWWNNIIEE

[–]GizmoTheLion 0 points1 point ago

Ha, I remember doing this in my middle school

[–]KarliiKitten 0 points1 point ago

*save picture as:"Awesome"

[–]Winterclaw 0 points1 point ago

Pretty sure this is a watered down version of the chocolate mug cake which is a lot nicer

http://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/upjgt/reddit_what_is_your_guilty_pleasure/c4xhil5

[–]shitterplug 0 points1 point ago

I tried this once... took so fucking long to clean that mug. Never again.

[–]ciaplant 0 points1 point ago

this is life-changing

[–]MidNightMare5998 0 points1 point ago

I put extra sugar in mine and also added peanut butter and it was divine.

[–]ahomieinneed 0 points1 point ago

It's pretty much only a life pro tip if you smoke weed anyway.

[–]xandra9000 0 points1 point ago

Tried this one time and failed miserably. It ended up with the egg not being cooked fully and the microwave smelled like horse shit

[–]bensully 0 points1 point ago

So I just tried this and it didn't work at all.

[–]bucciryan 0 points1 point ago

thank you so much for this . my life has taken a turn for the positive as of this very minute. get high

[–]BlargMcSnort 0 points1 point ago

Upvoted so I could find this later.

[–]hidinginplainview 0 points1 point ago

i saw this yesterday and made it right after. TITTIES

[–]xlHoneyBadgerlx 0 points1 point ago

eating this now, so dank. Thanks OP

[–]kildoents 0 points1 point ago

just made this. the hardest part is stirring! should be 7 tbsp on water though.

[–]rageaboutsugar 0 points1 point ago

:o there is a God. (Going to make it immediately

[–]-Khaleesi 0 points1 point ago

Totally doing this. Epic.

[–]Half_Life_III 0 points1 point ago

Pro-tip: Take the brownie out of the mug as soon as it comes out of the microwave, the mug will continue to cook it. Also add chocolate chips!

[–]xXMasterCarrXx 0 points1 point ago

I fucking love you...

[–]slothsarechill 0 points1 point ago

I used to make this, always fucked up.

[–]Onlyposers 0 points1 point ago

Any substitute for flour?

[–]axetheduck 0 points1 point ago

Not even an ent, missed it when it was posted last night i guess. Just commenting so I can find it later.

Exactly what I said.... Commenting so I can find the post later... When I make this...

[–]Backhoeing 0 points1 point ago

Hey guys, hate to burst your bubble, but that will destroy every THC particle you put in that cup.

Microwaves are the worst for when it comes to Cannabis because it will destroy every single chemical that you want to use to get high. It seems like a great idea, but trust me, you're going to be pissed when you waste oil in a microwave.

[–]ChillinNgrillin -1 points0 points ago

whoooaaaaa! remind me to do this tomorrow.

[–]iwanttobeadragon -1 points0 points ago

Found this in LifeProTips, but I knew where I could get karma for it.

FTFY

[–]nattylicious -1 points0 points ago

Has anyone actually tried this. I haven't, but have heard lots of horror stories about shit getting out of control in the microwave.

[–]NuclearMind -1 points0 points ago

can you use tap water? this looks yummy as fuck. thank you

[–]meantism 1 point2 points ago

No, you must collect only the finest spring water off the top of the highest mountain in Middle America. WTF

[–]NuclearMind 0 points1 point ago

i didn't know if you needed to use bottled water cause of the minerals and shit in tap water lol

[–]someguy73 -1 points0 points ago

As someone who actually tried the old "microwave brownie" recipe, I wouldn't recommend it for two reasons.

A. It tastes bland. Not nearly as good as actual brownies.

B. Buying all of the individual ingredients for the microwave brownies is more expensive than buying the ingredients for real brownies.

You're far better off just investing in actual, real brownies.

[–]idontlikeoctopii -1 points0 points ago

I'm literally doing this right now.

[–]relaks -3 points-2 points ago

that is disgusting
