As much as I love linux... I still have a Windows 7 dual boot for moments like this.

Buy it anyway. When you buy the Windows version of a game, you also get access to the Mac version of a game. If they release a Linux version of the game after the Steam release this year, it's likely that you'll be able to access it.

If not... try wine anyway and submit bug reports.
