Rules

  1. No screenshots, or pictures with added or superimposed text. This includes image macros, comics, info-graphics and most diagrams. Text (e.g. a URL) serving to credit the original author is exempt.

  2. No gore or porn. NSFW content must be tagged.

  3. No personal information. This includes anything hosted on Facebook's servers, as they can be traced to the original account holder. Stalking & harassment will not be tolerated.

  4. No solicitation of votes (including "cake day" posts), posts with their sole purpose being to communicate with another redditor, or [FIXED] posts. DAE posts go in /r/DoesAnybodyElse. "Fixed" posts should be added as a comment to the original image.

  5. Submissions must link directly to a specific image file or to an image hosting website with minimal ads. We do not allow blog hosting of images ("blogspam"), but links to albums on image hosting websites are okay. URL shorteners are prohibited.

  6. No animated images. Please submit them to /r/gif, /r/gifs, or /r/reactiongifs instead.

  • If your submission appears to be filtered but definitely meets the above rules, please send us a message with a link to the comments section of your post (not a direct link to the image). Don't delete it as that just makes the filter hate you!

  • If you come across any rule violations, please report the submission or message the mods and one of us will remove it!

Please also try to come up with original post titles. Submissions that use certain clichés/memes will be automatically tagged with a warning.

I am sick of that joke but the 2nd one actually made me laugh out loud.

[–]Peregrine_x 0 points1 point ago

literally?

[–]mr_literal_man 2 points3 points ago

Yes, my username does not lie.

[–]bubbus 4 points5 points ago

Umm... I only count 1274...

Top left corner. The Invisible Drop Bear. It's hard to see unless you squint.

[–]mehum 0 points1 point ago

It's hard to see until its claws and teeth imbed in your skull you mean.

Yes, there are a fuckton of poisonous animals in Australia, but people just assume that people die by them left and right.

-Snakes: With 41 recorded deaths between 1980 and 2009, snake deaths in Australia average out at less than two per year.

-Spiders: Nobody in Australia has died from a spider bite since 1979 after the successful introduction of antivenom for all native species.

-Sharks*: Accounted for 25 deaths between 2000 and (March) 2012 in Australia, about 2 a year.

-Crocodiles: Historically, crocodiles account for less than one death per year here in Australia, although that is increasing slightly as the crocodile population rises following the ban on crocodile hunting in 1971.

-Blue Ringed Octopus: Just 3 recorded deaths in the last century.

-Stonefish: One unconfirmed death by stonefish in 1915.

-Cone Snails: I could find no recorded deaths from cone snails in Australia whatsoever.

-Killer Jellyfish: Jellyfish account for (at time of writing) 66 deaths since records began in 1883. The box jellyfish was responsible for 64 deaths, and the Irukandji the other two. It sounds a lot, but still less than one death per year, more like just half a death per year.

Putting that into perspective:

Australia’s worst killers!

-Here in Australia, about 20 people a year die from horse riding accidents.

-Around 10 people per year in Australia die from European Honey Bee stings after going into anaphylactic shock.

-And around 300 people a year drown.

Jeez would never have seen him - was just the corks coming down from his hat that caught my eye ; )

...You have to click reply to the comments if you want to reply to them. The button is right underneath the actual comment on the far right.

.... Blame the drugs.

[–]NotaMethAddict 11 points12 points ago

This is the most adorable thing ever. How have you been here a year and not know how to reply to a comment?

[–]Pinkteam[S] -2 points-1 points ago

Cos I'm Australian. We don't give a fuckity fuck about anything!

[–]archonemis 0 points1 point ago

I actually did laugh.

But that's because I'm terrified of poisonous animals.'

If I ever go to Australia it'll be in a hotel. Only in a hotel.

[–]Von243 1 point2 points ago

[–]KT93 0 points1 point ago

I got attacked by a ring tailed possum outside the hotel in Brisbane City, nowhere is safe!

[–]anotherdrunkenidiot 0 points1 point ago

A possum! haha theyre like stoned cats. Edit; incidently i saw a green tree python (not venemous, so not as cool) eating one in the street in Indooroopilly. There really isn't much you can do with a face full of marsupial. Kids from the nearby school were poking it with a stick; imagine wearing a straightjacket, in your throat, that is the size of a biggish cat.

[–]MKSLAYER97 1 point2 points ago

And you can't see any of them because the text is in the way.

[–]gruso 0 points1 point ago

If you're redditing from Australia, 380 of those creatures are under your chair right now.

[–]jamurp 0 points1 point ago

Luckily most of our population in concentrated around major capital cities.

[–]Aholymost 0 points1 point ago

I'm sure all the ninjas in the picture will protect me.

[–]Moltk 0 points1 point ago

[–]Capt-Kangaroo 0 points1 point ago

[–]postymcpost 0 points1 point ago

[–]sliveytove 1 point2 points ago

they're there . . . http://i.imgur.com/zsJSb.jpg

[–]CookieMan0 0 points1 point ago

None of them can be seen.

In this film, we hope to demonstrate the value of not being seen.

[–]Tsimon1988 1 point2 points ago

I had a king brown snake in my yard once, those things are deadly as all hell.

Though I think the shovel was more powerful since it removed the snakes head.

[–]RussianFedora 1 point2 points ago

I imagine this would be better off in /r/funny.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

I imagine this would be better off on facebook.
